Chapter 2 - The Wrath of the Future

The first rays of dawn broke over the Arabian Sea, illuminating the faint silhouettes of ancient Persian warships. Onboard, seasoned warriors stood ready, their eyes fixed on the distant coastline. They had heard rumors of a land untouched by time, brimming with riches. For the invaders, India was a prize ripe for plunder.

Little did they know, this was not the India they had envisioned.

The War Room

Inside the Indian Armed Forces' war room, General Kavita Rao surveyed the situation on the tactical display. The advanced radar systems had tracked the fleet's movements for hours, giving her team a clear advantage. She turned to her officers.

"How many ships?" she asked.

"Twenty, General," one of her aides replied. "Approximately 1,500 men onboard. Standard armament: swords, shields, bows, and possibly crude siege equipment. No signs of advanced tactics."

"Understood." She crossed her arms, a faint smirk forming. "Let's teach them what modern warfare looks like."

The room buzzed with activity as orders were relayed. Coastal defense units prepared drones armed with non-lethal payloads—enough to cripple the fleet without excessive casualties. The Prime Minister's directive was clear: send a message, but minimize unnecessary bloodshed.

The First Strike

The invaders approached with confidence, their chants echoing across the waves. But as they neared the coast, strange objects appeared in the sky—silent, swift, and menacing.

"Daevas!" one of the Persian commanders shouted, pointing at the drones. The warriors below cowered, raising their shields against the incomprehensible flying machines.

The drones hovered above the fleet, releasing sonic blasts that disoriented the sailors. Ships veered off course, colliding with one another. Moments later, canisters dropped into the water, unleashing dense clouds of smoke that engulfed the fleet. Panic spread like wildfire as the invaders struggled to regroup.

A Display of Power

From the shoreline, Indian soldiers watched the chaos unfold. Unlike their ancestors who would have met such invasions with steel, these soldiers carried rifles and stood behind armored vehicles. One of them, Captain Rohan Patel, adjusted his helmet and turned to his unit.

"Orders are to let the drones handle most of it," he said. "But if they land, we're ready."

Within minutes, the fleet was immobilized. The remaining ships that reached the shore were greeted by an awe-inspiring sight: ranks of soldiers in modern combat gear, their weapons gleaming in the morning light. Behind them, artillery and tanks loomed like steel beasts.

The Persian warriors hesitated, their resolve faltering. Their leader, a grizzled general, stepped forward and raised his sword. "What sorcery is this?" he bellowed.

General Kavita Rao's voice boomed through a loudspeaker. "This is not sorcery. This is India. Surrender, and you will not be harmed."

The Aftermath

The invaders were swiftly subdued. Those who surrendered were taken into custody, while their weapons and ships were examined. The few who resisted were met with non-lethal force, leaving them alive but humbled.

As the prisoners were led away, the Persian general muttered in disbelief. "Your people... your weapons... what are you?"

Kavita stepped forward, her sharp gaze fixed on him. "We are the future. Remember that when you return to your king."

Back in New Delhi

In the aftermath of the skirmish, the nation's leadership convened in an emergency meeting. Screens displayed footage of the battle, now circulating on social media. The citizens of India, though shaken by their sudden isolation, erupted in pride and relief at their military's swift victory.

Prime Minister Mehra leaned back in his chair, deep in thought. "That was the first test," he said. "The world now knows we're not defenseless. But this is only the beginning."

Dr. Ishaan Malhotra chimed in, his voice tinged with concern. "We need to be prepared for larger threats. The Persians will send word back to their empire. Others will come, drawn by tales of this 'sorcery.' It's only a matter of time."

"We'll be ready," Kavita replied firmly. "But we can't rely on brute force alone. We need to secure alliances, establish our dominance diplomatically as well."

The Prime Minister nodded. "Agreed. Let's begin preparations for a strategic council. We need to decide how we're going to reshape this world."

A New Dawn

As the sun set over the western coast, India stood victorious. But the battle was a stark reminder: this was a new world, and the challenges ahead would only grow more complex. The people of India had the tools to survive, but they would need wisdom, unity, and resolve to thrive.

And somewhere beyond the horizon, other eyes watched, plotting their next move.
