Evening, as the sun was setting.
Under the cherry blossom tree in the estate, Hiroshi and Ruri Gokou were taking a leisurely stroll.
"Ruri, how did you come to like me?" Hiroshi asked with a smile, looking at his girl, curiosity evident on his face.
Tightening her grip on Hiroshi's hand, Ruri Gokou blushed and replied, "I just... slowly started liking you." She looked at Hiroshi with reddened cheeks and said, "The more I got to know you, the more I liked you."
"I could say I liked you a long time ago." Under the setting sun, Hiroshi stopped walking, gently touching Ruri's cheek and tucking her hair behind her ear. "I liked you a very long time ago."
"Huh?" Ruri looked at Hiroshi, puzzled. "What are you talking about, Hiroshi?"
Hiroshi led Ruri to a spot by the side, where they both sat on the soft grass. Looking at Ruri beside him, Hiroshi smiled and said, "Actually, when I first liked you, it was the version of you on the screen. The character named Ruri Gokou."
Ruri Gokou nodded in understanding. After all, both of them were otakus, so she could relate. But despite her understanding, she couldn't help but feel her hand tighten.
Seeing her reaction, Hiroshi gently opened her clenched hand, leaning his forehead against hers. Their eyes met, so close that they could feel each other's breath. With their fingers intertwined, Hiroshi said, "But after meeting the real you, I realized that you're not just that character on the screen—you're a person named Ruri Gokou."
"As we got to know each other, I discovered different sides of you." Hiroshi smiled warmly, "I grew to like you more and more. Today, when I realized your feelings for me, I gathered my courage and decided to confess."
"Thank you for accepting me, for liking me, and for being willing to stay by my side," Hiroshi said sincerely.
"Mm~" Ruri gently shook her head, gripping Hiroshi's hand tightly. She looked at him and said, "I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for liking someone as ordinary as me. Thank you for understanding my feelings, and thank you for liking even the version of me on the screen."
The two gazed at each other, smiling. Under the setting sun, their shadows drew closer until they merged into one.
"Yay!"
A muffled cheer came from the nearby cherry blossom tree. Hinata and Klee peeked out from behind it.
Seeing that Ruri finally had someone who cared for her, Hinata smiled in relief. It was great—Ruri wouldn't end up alone in her chuunibyou outfits as she had feared.
Hinata took out her phone, snapping photos like crazy to capture the moment. She wanted to keep this precious memory and have something to use in case Ruri ever faced a romantic rival.
Breaking away from the kiss, Ruri Gokou shyly turned her head away. Hiroshi, wearing a happy smile, waved at the two little girls in the distance. He saved multiple copies of the photos Hinata took in the group chat, then took Ruri Gokou's hand again.
Ruri shot Hinata a glare, her face still red, before turning to Hiroshi, "Let's go, Hiroshi. Otherwise, my parents might worry."
"Mm," Hiroshi nodded reluctantly. He couldn't help but hug Ruri again, whispering, "I'll find a chance to visit your parents. And you too—come over whenever you can. I've kept the teleport permissions in the chat group open."
"Mm," Ruri replied softly, savoring Hiroshi's warmth. "I will."
Standing up, Ruri took Hinata's small hand and opened the chat group, preparing to teleport home.
"Brother-in-law, come visit us sometime! Mom and Dad will love you!" Hinata waved her little hand, shouting to Hiroshi.
Smiling, Hiroshi nodded firmly, "I will. I definitely will."
With a flash of white light, the two of them disappeared, returning to their world.
From behind, the sound of footsteps approached. Hiroshi felt his pant leg being tugged, and Klee's small voice came through.
"Brother Hiroshi, does this mean you won't be my brother anymore?" Klee asked, her voice trembling as her eyes filled with tears. "Will you belong to Sister Ruri now and not be with Klee anymore?!"
Seeing Klee by his feet, Hiroshi picked her up, resting his forehead against hers. "What are you talking about, Klee? Brother Hiroshi will always be your brother. There's no way I'd ever leave you."
"Really?" Klee tilted her head, playfully pressing her forehead against Hiroshi's.
"Really!" Hiroshi said firmly, smiling. "And look, now Sister Ruri will be your sister too. Hinata is also your sister now. And Sister Ruri has another little sister named Tamaki. So Klee, you're going to be the big sister from now on!"
"Eh! Klee is a big sister now?" Klee paused, then her tears turned into a bright smile. "Am I really going to be a big sister?"
Wrapping her arms around Hiroshi's neck, Klee exclaimed eagerly, "Brother Hiroshi, I want to go see little sister Tamaki!"
Patting Klee's back, Hiroshi pressed his cheek against her small head and said softly, "How about this—we'll ask Sister Ruri to add Tamaki to the chat group, and then you can see her often."
"But can't I go see Sister Tamaki in person?" Klee asked curiously.
Hiroshi shook his head gently, "Klee, you'll need to grow up a little more first. If you went to that world now, a lot of bad people might notice you."
"Mm, I understand," Klee said, finding a comfortable position in Hiroshi's arms. She slowly closed her eyes and murmured, "Then little sister Tamaki must come soon. Klee will take her out to play."
As she spoke, Klee's breathing gradually slowed, and she drifted off to sleep.
Hiroshi gently held Klee, looking at her sleeping peacefully, and quietly wiped away her tears. He looked up at the sky; the moon had risen, its crescent shape glowing softly.
"It's almost the end of the month already. I can't believe I've been in Mondstadt for so long."
Hiroshi thought back to his first awkward arrival in Teyvat, where a few Slimes had nearly immobilized him. He remembered meeting Klee, reopening his barbecue stall in Mondstadt, meeting Diluc, going on his first adventure, becoming friends with Fischl, getting to know Lumine and Paimon, experiencing the Stormterror crisis, becoming an honorary knight, completing the first group mission, growing closer to Ruri, training himself, adding Klee to the chat group, befriending Venti, getting to know Jean, saving Dvalin, helping Kazuma in his world, finding his own home, and finally, becoming Ruri's boyfriend.
Holding Klee close, Hiroshi whispered, "Thank you, Klee. Meeting you changed my life forever."
He slowly walked towards their shared home. Under the moonlight, cherry blossoms fell, and Hiroshi's figure, holding Klee, gradually disappeared into the distance.
