Noon, Liyue Harbor.
"Big brother, goodbye!"
Happily accepting a candied hawthorn stick from a Millelith soldier, Klee waved enthusiastically as the patrolling guards walked away.
"Nom~"
Taking a bite from the sweet treat, Klee glanced at Li and Qiqi, who were also nibbling on their own snacks, and giggled mischievously.
"Let's go blow up some fish!" she announced. "Last time I tried with Yaoyao, we ran into Big Sister Beidou, and I didn't get the chance."
Bouncing with excitement, Klee ran toward the port. Li, holding Qiqi's hand, followed timidly as Qiqi waddled along with her short legs to keep up.
At the water's edge, Klee crouched down, her head low as she peered into the clear depths. Her wide eyes sparkled with eagerness as the deep ocean teased her curiosity.
"Klee," Li's quiet voice came from behind. Just as Klee was about to pull out a Jumpty Dumpty bomb, she turned around in confusion.
Li's small arms were piled high with gifts of all shapes and sizes, and Qiqi was similarly burdened.
Tilting her head curiously, Klee asked, "Li, Qiqi, where did all these gifts come from?"
"When we passed by earlier, a lot of people saw Li and gave her gifts," Qiqi explained softly as she placed her collection of trinkets on the ground. "Li is very cute, like Qiqi's little sparrow. Everyone likes her."
Like a caring sister, Qiqi helped Li place her gifts neatly on the ground. Patting Li's head, Qiqi smiled faintly and said, "Qiqi likes Li too."
Gripping Qiqi's hand gently, Li returned the smile. "Li likes Qiqi."
"What about Klee?"
Throwing her arms around both of them, Klee exclaimed, "Klee likes Li and Qiqi the most!"
"Li likes Klee too," Li said softly.
"Heeheehee," Klee giggled. "Now let's go blow up some fish!"
Holding Li and Qiqi's hands, Klee's face was filled with determination. "Fish are really tasty."
"But what about the gifts everyone gave Li?" Li asked, frowning slightly. "They were given with kindness, and Li doesn't want to disappoint them."
"Hmm…"
Crossing her arms, Klee tilted her head in thought. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. She dashed toward the nearby crowd and grabbed a young woman's arm.
"Big sister, can you watch these gifts for us?" Klee asked, smiling brightly.
The woman, dressed in form-fitting clothes adorned with mysterious astrological symbols, swallowed the last bite of her snack. Adjusting the oversized hat on her head, she looked down at Klee with a raised eyebrow.
"My name is Astrologist Mona Megistus, the Great Astrologer," she declared dramatically. "Though I don't know whose child you are, I suppose I can help watch over these gifts for you."
"Thank you, big sister!" Klee beamed, pulling Mona toward Li and Qiqi. "In return, Klee will give you some delicious fish later!"
Waving at Mona, who now stood guarding the pile of gifts, Klee grabbed Li and Qiqi and leapt into the water.
"Wait!" Mona shouted, rushing to the edge of the port. But instead of seeing the trio sink, she watched in astonishment as they ran across the surface of the water, their laughter carried by the sea breeze.
Scratching her head in confusion, Mona crouched by the water's edge. "Who are these kids? And why do I feel an inexplicable connection to the little red one?"
Clutching her growling stomach, Mona's expression grew serious. "I need to consult the stars."
A soft blue glow emanated as Mona performed a water divination. As she stared at the celestial patterns before her, her expression grew more puzzled.
"The inheritor of great knowledge… the West Wind Knight of Mondstadt… the sibling of… the Devourer of Gods?"
"What kind of nonsense is this?"
Mona couldn't believe the cryptic results of her reading. Most of the information was shrouded in mystery, leaving her biting her lip in frustration.
"There's no way my divination could be wrong!" she exclaimed. "But what does it mean? Maybe I'll get more answers if I read the other two."
Focusing her remaining energy, Mona's Vision shimmered faintly as she performed another divination.
"A herb gatherer from a thousand years ago… the Conqueror of Demons frozen in time… the daughter of… the Devourer of Gods?"
"Ugh…"
Pressing a hand to her aching head, Mona collapsed to the ground, exhausted. "These kids are anything but ordinary. Just a glimpse into their fates drained so much of my energy."
Her stomach growled loudly, and Mona clutched it with a pained expression. "If only I hadn't spent all my money on that astrological instrument… I wouldn't be starving and unable to focus."
Determined, she dragged herself to the water's edge and locked her gaze on a swimming fish. Channeling the last dregs of her energy, her Vision glowed faintly blue. The water rippled, and with a splash, a fish leapt into the air.
Grasping the fish in her teeth, Mona muttered weakly, "A frugal life is part of an astrologer's training…"
