The morning sun filtered through the cracks in Liang Xing's modest home as he stretched and yawned.
Snowflake's tail thumped against the floor, already signaling its boundless energy. Mochi, perched on a pile of worn blankets, chirped softly, its small body glowing faintly in the sunlight.
Liang took a deep breath, determined to tackle the day's goal. The Galaxy System's mission loomed over him, and he was painfully aware of the six-month deadline.
"Alright, you two," Liang began, standing with his hands on his hips. "Today, we start training. No more running wild, no more eating random things. Got it?"
Snowflake barked enthusiastically, wagging its tail so hard it nearly knocked over a chair. Mochi, on the other hand, tilted its tiny head, blinked once, and promptly yawned.
Liang sighed. "This is going to be harder than I thought."
The Chaos of Snowflake and Mochi-
It became apparent within minutes that Liang's pets had very different ideas about what training meant.
Snowflake, ever the troublemaker, darted around the small yard outside, chasing anything that moved: bugs, leaves, even its own shadow. Liang's attempts to teach it commands like "sit" and "stay" were met with exuberant barking and tail-wagging, but no actual obedience.
Meanwhile, Mochi was an entirely different challenge. Despite its small size, the little creature had an insatiable appetite. Liang turned his back for just a moment to deal with Snowflake, only to find Mochi gnawing on one of his old books.
"Hey! Stop that!" Liang shouted, lunging to grab the book. Mochi chirped in surprise, fluttering its tiny wings as it tried to waddle away.
The chase ended with Liang clutching the now half-eaten book, staring in disbelief at the teeth marks dotting its cover. "You're worse than Snowflake," he muttered.
But Mochi wasn't done. Over the course of the morning, it managed to chew through a basket of dried herbs, a wooden spoon, and the corner of Liang's bed frame.
"How can something so small eat so much?" Liang groaned, running a hand through his hair.
Snowflake, not wanting to be left out, kept trying to play with Mochi, barking and jumping around the little creature. Mochi, however, seemed far more interested in food than playtime, leading to a chaotic scene where Snowflake knocked over a stool while Mochi tried to climb onto the table in search of scraps.
Hilarious Mishaps of pets-
By midday, Liang had managed to corral the two troublemakers and decided to take them to the village for supplies. What could possibly go wrong?
The answer came almost immediately.
Snowflake, seeing the bustling market as a new playground, tore free from Liang's grasp and bolted toward a nearby food stall. Mochi, not wanting to be left behind, fluttered onto Snowflake's back, chirping excitedly as the two made a beeline for the nearest meat vendor.
"Wait! Stop!" Liang shouted, chasing after them.
The meat shop owner, a burly man with a thick mustache, had just finished arranging a display of fresh cuts when Snowflake skidded to a halt in front of the stall. Before the man could react, Mochi leapt from Snowflake's back and latched onto a string of sausages, devouring them at an alarming speed.
"Hey! Get outta here!" the man bellowed, swatting at Mochi.
Snowflake took this as an invitation to join the feast, snatching a slab of meat and bolting away with it. Mochi, undeterred by the man's attempts to stop it, continued munching through the stall's offerings like a tiny whirlwind.
By the time Liang arrived, panting and red-faced, the damage was done.
"Your... your pets ate everything!" the shop owner roared, pointing at the empty stall. "Do you know how much that meat cost?!"
Liang stammered, his face burning with embarrassment. "I—I'm so sorry! I'll pay you back, I promise!"
"Pay me back?!" the man shouted. "You don't even look like you can afford a loaf of bread, let alone this much meat!"
Liang winced, knowing the man was right. Still, he managed to drag Snowflake and Mochi away, apologizing profusely.
Back home, Liang sat on the floor, cradling his head in his hands while Snowflake and Mochi looked up at him innocently.
"You two are going to be the death of me," he muttered.
Attempting Structured Training-
Determined not to let the day's disaster discourage him, Liang decided it was time to take a more structured approach to training. He sketched out a rough schedule on a scrap of paper:
1. Morning: Basic obedience for Snowflake.
2. Afternoon: Energy control practice for Mochi.
3. Evening: Bonding exercises for all three of them.
"Okay," he said, holding up the schedule. "This is our plan. Stick to it, and we'll make progress in no time."
The first session started with Snowflake. Liang tried to teach it simple commands like "sit" and "stay," using scraps of dried meat as rewards. Snowflake, however, was far more interested in chasing its tail and barking at passing birds.
"Focus, Snowflake!" Liang pleaded, holding up a piece of meat.
Snowflake barked once, wagged its tail, and then ran off to investigate a rustling bush.
By the time Liang managed to wrangle Snowflake back, Mochi had climbed onto the roof of the house, chirping excitedly as it flapped its tiny wings.
"How did you even get up there?!" Liang shouted, scrambling to retrieve the mischievous creature.
Afternoon training didn't go much better. Liang attempted to guide Mochi through basic energy control exercises, but the little creature seemed far more interested in napping. No matter how much Liang coaxed or encouraged it, Mochi would yawn, curl up into a fluffy ball, and fall asleep within minutes.
"Great," Liang muttered, sitting cross-legged on the floor. "One of you won't stop running, and the other won't even stay awake."
A Test of Patience-
Evening came, and Liang was exhausted. He sat in the yard with Snowflake and Mochi, trying to focus on their bonding exercises.
The system had recommended spending time with his companions to strengthen their connection, but all Liang could think about was how much chaos the day had brought.
Snowflake, sensing his frustration, placed a paw on his knee and barked softly. Mochi, despite its usual antics, nuzzled against his side and let out a gentle trill.
Liang couldn't help but smile, his annoyance melting away.
"Alright," he said, patting Snowflake's head. "Maybe today wasn't a total disaster. We've still got time to figure this out."
As the stars began to dot the night sky, Liang looked at his two companions and felt a flicker of hope. Training them might be a challenge, but he wasn't ready to give up just yet.
"We'll get there," he said softly. "One step at a time."
And for the first time that day, Liang believed it.
