Leah's POV
I was still standing at the same spot, trying to listen to their conversation. My left hand was slipping off the wall, and that was when I realized the wall was wet. I hadn't noticed at first. And then the floor, all of a sudden was becoming wet to my feet as though water was poured on it.
"Alpha Gerald…" I heard one of the men call out.
Their voices were becoming faint as I got my ears closer to them. Confusion and all sort of unawareness came on me. Nothing was normal, not in this place. But that shouldn't surprise me, should it?
Gerald had proven beyond all doubts that everything was different with him. Was it the time I found him floating in the air? Was it his sweating in a cold room? Or was it his coming to meet Alex and me without actually opening the door?
Everything about him was different, and I'd accepted him amidst all these.
