I'm sure she's here " a man muttered entering the cave with his sword unsheathed and dripping from blood. "She might be the last one of them ". The man muttered, approaching the pool that was now red with the floating body of a mermaid in it .
Just when the man approached the mermaid , Cora's eyes snapped open.
'Another dream about the cave again ' she thought pulling the duvet off herself. A sound knock on the door made her touch her cheeks to check if her mask was on. "Cora"lily called from the other side and she opened the door. "Hurry up it's almost time for us to leave it's 5:30". Cora nodded and closed the door. It looks like herself and lily were pursuing the same course. She quickly slipped into a black baggy jean and a blue turtled neck top with her hair held in a messy bun.
After exiting the hostel she noticed a number of people giving her curious glances . 'Might be because of yesterday's incident ' she thought.
Cora was introduced to her new classroom where she'll be receiving lectures. She sat down on the first chair .
Later on a lot of people started entering and amongst them was the guy who punched her and some two others. Cora cursed and quickly pulled her mask up . Lily and Cora sat together whiles Damien and his friends occupied the back seat . Not long after a woman in her late forties entered. She pushed the glasses resting on her nose close to her eyes before she greeted "Good morning class, I'm Mrs Smith and I'll be your teacher for social science". "Well let me inform you all that the welcoming party for this year's newbies will take place this evening". Some students already began sharing their excitement as to how they couldn't wait whiles Cora was already planning on skipping it. Right when the lessons were about to begin Luna walked in apologizing to the teacher before slipping beside Cora. Almost everyone noticed Luna including the guy she punched who was literally staring at her right now . "How odd is that girl in mask all the time?" Roy pondered and Damien furrowed his brows . "It seems so"Drake replied. It was finally time for breakfast and the Cora found herself in the cafeteria with Luna and Lily . 'Which excuse should she give to skip breakfast 'she thought dreading what would happen when lily realizes she can't take her mask off . Following the line , she was just about to be served when someone pushed her aside . "Ow sorry I didn't see you"a blonde haired girl mockingly said . Cora whom didn't mind nodded and shifted aside as she slipped out of the cafeteria. Her stomach was grumbling but she didn't have any choice than to make sure not to eat in the cafeteria. Whiles slipping away Cora saw Damien and his friends coming and she quickly dashed towards the opposite direction. I must avoid them at all cost. Luna who hadn't noticed when Cora vanished was surprised when's she didn't find her in the cafeteria. "Where did she vanish to?"Lily queried. *Sign Luna guessing what the reason might be planned on taking another food for her when the woman announced "I'm sorry but no food leaves the cafeteria". Gritting her teeth Luna and Lily left without touching their food. Cora who had ventured too much without knowing heard a light violin being played . The melody of the song being played was so good that she couldn't resist but follow it . Finally arriving at the place , she saw Mrs Hurdeton with her eyes closed and silently playing her violin . Cora's feet paused when the woman's eyes snapped open and was red. Cora blinked to make sure she was not imagining things when she saw her eyes turn back to black .'H-how is that possible!?'she thought staring wide eyed. Mrs Hurdeton wore a grim expression and she approached her inhumanly and touched her forehead whispering "Forget whatever you saw". Cora blinked confused. What was the meaning of what she was doing cause it was not working. "Did you see anything?"she asked smiling. "N-no"Cora stammerd. She fought the edge of running away and smiled back . 'Did she see something she wasn't supposed to?'she thought with shaky breath . Mrs Hurdeton not noticing anything unusual asked "what were you doing here because I don't remember touring you guys around this place". "I-I"Cora bit her lip to stop it from quivering and answered "I got lost trying to find my way to the cafeteria"."You did?" Hurdeton probed with an arched brow and Cora nodded. Mrs Hurdeton nodded and led her back to the cafeteria and vanished from her sight.
