The suffocating darkness swallowed them whole, the wave of Abyssal energy tearing through the chamber like a hurricane. Ryu's vision blurred as the force of Zenith's attack slammed into him, sending him hurtling backward. He barely managed to plant Voidfang into the ground, anchoring himself before the relentless torrent swept him away.
When the storm subsided, the silence was deafening.
"Aris? Draven?" Ryu called, his voice echoing in the fractured chamber.
A cough answered him first. Draven emerged from a pile of rubble, his shield battered but still intact. "Still standing… barely," he said, his voice strained.
"I'm here!" Aris shouted from above. She slid down a broken pillar, her bow slung over her shoulder. Though shaken, her movements were steady, her eyes scanning for threats.
