As the evil spirit emerged from the garage-like house, the group froze in terror. Ava's eyes were wide with fear, and Eli's face had turned pale. Malcolm and Rachel stood frozen, unsure of what to do next.
Sophia, however, seemed to be in a trance-like state. She stared at the spirit, her eyes fixed on its glowing eyes.
The spirit began to move closer, its presence filling the air with an unspeakable horror. The group tried to run, but their feet seemed rooted to the spot.
Eli, trying to break the tension, whispered, "Well, this is just great. We're all going to die because of a stupid keystone."
Ava elbowed him, "Shut up, Eli."
The spirit finally reached them, its eyes fixed on the group. In a voice that sent shivers down their spines, it spoke:
"What brings you to this place?"
Malcolm, trying to find his voice, stuttered, "W-we're just here for the keystone."
The spirit's gaze seemed to pierce through them. "The keystone is not here. It is not in this place."
Eli, trying to sound brave, said, "Well, that's just great. We came all this way for nothing."
Ava rolled her eyes, "Eli, just keep quiet."
The spirit's gaze seemed to bore into their souls. "But since you have come this far, you will have to pay the price."
Rachel's voice trembled, "What price?"
The spirit's voice sent shivers down their spines. "You will have to sacrifice one of your own in order to obtain the keystone."
The group exchanged horrified glances. Who would they sacrifice? And how would they be able to live with themselves after doing so?
The spirit's eyes seemed to gleam with malevolence. "The choice is yours. But choose wisely, for the keystone's power comes with a great cost."
And with that, the spirit vanished, leaving the group to ponder their horrific decision.
