Chapter 5 - 5. I kind of spit on myself

I submitted Mike Hammer's reversion to the court, which required the case to be referred back to

the police for a new trial.

I was sitting on Mike Hammer's left when the police came to interrogate him.

The main point of their questioning was evidence.

The police needed proof that Luke had paid for the murder, and Mike Hammer's confession could

be counted as witness evidence, but they needed physical evidence to form a complete chain of

evidence.

Upon questioning, it turns out that Mike Hammer has no evidence to prove that Luke committed

the crime.

This is how Luke contacts Mike Hammer.

He pulls Mike Hammer aside while he is working on the construction site, brings it up with Mike,

and verbally promises cash.

On the construction site, the only surveillance camera is on the tower crane, so here's what

happened.

No contact via text, phone or social media.

No retained contract documents.

And three, no surveillance records.

The police and I looked at each other and both felt headaches.

We agreed that Mike Hammer had so little social experience that he could be persuaded to kill

someone by a promise.

For now, the police can only start with Luke and see if they can make progress.

And I can't stay idle while the police are investigating Luke.

In criminal cases, a letter of understanding from the victim's family can be very helpful in

sentencing.

So I went to the police guest house to find Sam's wife.

She is a country woman with no culture, her daughter is preparing English on the side, she can

only sit on the side and worry.

After I explained the purpose of my visit, she first wanted to speak, then could not laugh or cry.

She hid her face and bowed her head in silence for a few seconds, and then finally broke out.

Just watch her grab the glass in the guest house, her hand hanging in the air, hesitating for a few

seconds, and then she fell.

She cried out in excitement as she dropped the glass.

"A miso"

I was very scared, a little scrambling, picked up the briefcase in front of myself, afraid that she

would hit someone violently.

When the screaming was over, instead of hitting me, she started crying.

"The baby just died! Now you want me to write a letter of forgiveness? Now I don't even know how I'm going to live, and you want me to forgive the demon who killed my husband! No way! "

It really doesn't add up.

If this were a TV show, I'd probably be the villain.

And a badass one at that.

He wants to get Sam's wife's understanding, but he can't give Sam's wife any compensation.

A: I spit on myself a little.

But as Mike Hammer's lawyer, there are certain things I can't do.

"I'm sorry about Sam, but as you can see, Sam's repeated bullying of Mike Hammer during his

time at the construction site is really the trigger for this case. If you don't forgive him, he will

most likely be sentenced to life imprisonment. He is only 20 years old. "

I could feel Sam's wife trying to control herself. She stood up, picked up my briefcase and walked

out the door.

"I don't understand, he left my child without a father, I want him to die!" Go out now, and don't

come to me later. I can't write a letter of forgiveness. "

I tried to fight her again, and then I saw her pick up a glass and make it look like she was going to

hit me.

I just ran away
