Chapter 7 - REFORMING BEGINS

They get to the ruin, and there are a bunch of skeletons and zombies just roaming around the collapsed building of rock. Then they spot a ruby on one of the lower walls with a bunch of others. There are different colored ones, but Komeri and Musa focus on one.the red one.

"Do you have a plan, on how to get to that thing? I mean, it would be foolish if we go head first," Musa said.

"I would like to say that, but you are going to do it anyway.....aren't you?"musa with a sarcastic look.

Komeri smirks with a little creepy grin at him"you know me well, musa"

"Use that eyepiece we got from Sooduru and appraise their level," Komeri replied.

"O-ok," Musa said. He reached into his pouch and grabbed a circular piece of glass, then held it up to his right eye.

"Oh, I see... but they have a higher level than us," Musa said.

The undead monsters were level four. "Don't worry, I got a plan," Komeri said.

The plan was that Komeri instructed Musa to take the first shot with multiple magical arrows at once. While they tried to move forward or got distracted by the arrows, Komeri would have to swiftly attack head-on while moving closer to the ruby.

"Alright, Musa, let's begin," Komeri said.

Musa then stood up from the bushes revealing himself and triggering them to look his way, formed multiple dark and light magic arrows on his bow. He shot them, and they came falling down on the undead like raindrops. Some of them were shot, while others began to retaliate.

With swift movements, Komeri launched forward out of the bushes and went head-on. "Impact boost," he thought activating it on his body. While running close to the horde, he activated his soul flames and formed them on his blade. When he sliced one of them, he got a little bit of a long-range attack, where the flame reached behind the latter.

However, still moving, Komeri miscalculated, and a skeleton emerged from the ground in front of him, launching itself at him. But before Komeri could think of another attack, Musa saved him by shooting it down, giving Komeri an opening.

Agile enough to dodge the remaining obstacles of rubble, he grabs it and makes a run for it. "MUSA, LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, QUICK!!" Komeri shouted.

They began to run away, and behind them, it seemed like more undead were emerging from the ground. Hours passed, and they both lost them, komeri and musa were now near the town, catching their breath, holding their knees.

"That... was... stupid," Musa said, with a dissatisfied, tired look.

"At least we... got the... ruby, plus our stats has increased too," Komeri replied.

Sooduru was working on a piece of red armor when Komeri and Musa entered. "We got your ruby," said Komeri.

"Wow, excellent! I'm amazed you were able to survive," replied Sooduru.

"Yeah, yeah. Now, did you do what we asked for?" asked Komeri.

"Oh yes, here you go. And from the weapons, I got you new outfits to go along with that too," said Sooduru.

She gave them both the katana sword for Komeri and a yellow bow wrapped in a black cloth for Musa, as well as new outfits, so they immediately tried them out.

Komeri now wore a dark blue coat with grey trousers and a belt buckle for his katana, while Musa wore a white shirt underneath a dark grey cape and a pair of brown shorts. They looked like they could blend in perfectly now in this fantasy world.

"Wow, thanks! These are great," said Musa.

"Right?... and those clothes are enhanced with fire resistance as a bonus for letting me join you," said Sooduru.

"I would like to ask..." said Komeri.

"Hmm?" replied Sooduru.

"What is the red ruby for?" asked Komeri.

"Oh, this... is for my boss. He said it's to restore stamina potions," Sooduru said.

"Oh, I see..." Komeri replied.

"That could be useful in the future," Komeri thought.

"Komeri... not to intrude, but where are we going to stay?" Musa asked.

"Good question," Komeri responded.

"Well, this might be my time to shine... Since I'm on your team now and we are going to work together, I have to help, right?" Sooduru said.

"Then where? Stop stalling," Komeri urged.

Sooduru smirked. "Wait, let me get my stuff. We will be moving in together."

Sooner or later, Sooduru directed them to a hidden mansion that was covered with shrubs and trees while she carried a large bag on her back.

"I guess we'll be cleaning this place," Komeri said.

"What.....it will take us forever"musa replied

The mansion was rundown and its location was not too far from the town. After hours of moving stuff, sweeping, mopping, and also using some of the money to buy and replace broken items, they managed to finish within two days—the three of them.

Now living with their new female dark elf companion, Sooduru.

It was a casual night in their new home. Musa is downstairs practicing his archery in the training room they built. Sooduru is in the living room fixing and polishing a silver gauntlet with a sadistic smile and blushing.

Komeri is sitting on the ground outside in the backyard under the moonlight, legs crossed. "Well, I think now is the time I try this summons," he said nervously but seriously.
