I park in front of my family house,my grandfather had asked me to come over to the house to discuss something with him,I knew what exactly he wanted to say to me ,

I sat in my car ,looking at the house in front of me,my mind was drafted back to my childhood memories,when I used to play football with my friends in the backyard,and my mother will be there to watch me incase I injured ,

This magnificent white building used to be where I found comfort and love,

My father who happened to be the second son of the Anthony's,was loved and cherished by my grandparents,my father established a very strong and independent company which he named the Anthony enterprise,he got married to my mother three years after the establishment of the company,and they gave birth to me two years after their union,my father had an elder brother by name Grey ,my father Asher asked Grey to joined him in his company snice grey couldn't managed their father company properly ,whereby making it go bankrupt,my grandparents were not pleased with the way grey handled the company they used their sweat to build up to that level,my grandmother who was the fragile one couldn't stand the news of the company been taken over by their rival slumped before she was rushed to the hospital she was confined dead,my grandfather couldn't take it all,he blamed grey for killing his wife ,he threatened to disowned grey but Asher stepped in ,and beg my grandfather to forgive grey that he is now a changed person and promise to take him in his company so he could be the assistant ceo and precede over meetings when he is not available as am still young to join him in the company.

My mother Meg was not comfortable with all this arrangement but my father convinced her that his brother cannot wreck his company under his leadership,so my mother gave up the argument and supported her husband as she always does.

Five years after Grey Joined my father company ,my father business grew very well with branches all over the country,to celebrate his sucess he held a business banquet and invited some friends and family members,

I attended the event but I wasn't too comfortable with the look on the faces of my uncle and his wife Kate when I stumbled upon them arguing quietly in the hallway,I was still very young to understand what they were talking about,so I didn't read any meaning to the looks they gave me when I saw them.

After the close of the party ,that night my parents were rushed to the hospital,and the doctor confirmed them dead ,they died from food poisoning,all the waitress and waiter that were contacted to carry out task in the cause of the celebration was arrested and interrogated,but the were later released because they all pleaded not guilty and they were no concerted evidence level against them.

The looks on my parents faces when they died can never be wiped away from my memory,

Grandpa asked Greg to step in as the acting ceo of my father company to managed the affair of the company while I finished my degree and after am through then he can now hand over the company to me.

I just took over the company three years ago and I found out that they were a lot of underground transactions that were been carried out without the knowledge of tge broad members,I was able to retrieve some of the lost money back to the company thereby securing the trust of the shareholders.

I confronted my uncle and asked him how he handle and spent my father money over the years ,but he refused giving me any useful information regarding it,so I involved the help of the police ,grand pa was all the over the place begging me to release him starting he his still is son and the only direct blood line of his remaining,so I seconded to grandpa pleads and release him and warn him to stay clear away from my father property.

He later used the remaining money he stole from me to open a small business which he managed until he feel sick and he couldn't handle the affairs of the company and asked his son Paul to take over from him…

The light knock on the my car glass window jolted me back to reality,I switched off my car engine and stepped out of my car ,I saw the house keeper smiling widely at me "hello master Alex ,you have been inside your car for sometime so I was worried if you were ok"she asked with concern written all over her face

Mrs Asian had been like this ,she had the nature of taking care of other people without minding her own needs ,when my parents died she stepped in the place of my mother and took care of me,making my recovery from my parents death easier for me

"Mrs Asian am fine "i replied her returning the smile she gave me "I was just replying some business mails "I lied

"Ok dear,I thought Nate is there to assist you ,I hope he isn't giving you too much trouble s"she asked me

"Yes he is of great help to me ,but for giving me trouble,Nate is at best at that ,"I told her with a long laugh

"But you need to take it easy ,work could always wait and for Nate and trouble only God will help me ,your grandfather had been waiting for you "she replied me

"Yes am here now ,let go "I said as we both walked into the main entrance of the house .

My grandfather was sitting peacefully in his armchair in the living room,he was resting on his back as I walked into the house to meet him.

"Hello father "I greeted as I sat on the couch opposite the table.

"Hi son"he responded as he slowly opened his eyes.

Mrs Asian excused herself and walked out of the room

"How is the company doing now "

"Fine ,I just finished signing the contract with the base company,we will be sending out some raw materials to them"

"Nice son"he replied as he run his hands in his temple"there is something that you haven't done yet "

I know the essence of this meeting ,grandfather had always talked about it but I always waved it away ,he had sent for me since last two weeks but I refuse coming and now he did again,yesterday so I had no other option than to honor his invitation and hear that exact thing he do say to me every time we spoke

"Father if it about getting married am not ready yet "I said firmly in my head .

"Yes father what it is "I asked him,this time I had placed my right leg on top of the other .

"Ales you need to get settle down,I know we Been on this for long but now is very serious,your cousin Paul had gotten himself a girlfriend and they will be getting married soon ,you know what that means "he said ,his voice firm but laced with concern .he continued "your father company is at stake ,the family trust fund is at stake ,the board members want a stable family oriented leader "

"But I have been a good leader at least I demonstrated it to them before by recovering the lost funds that were stolen "I replied

"That is not enough,Alex ,you will do this for me ,for your late parents. My son,get a wife any girl from any family ,or better still you can accept the lady I recommend for you ,Mary isn't a bad girl you know,she is my closet friend and business partner daughter,she will make a good wife "he said his expression turning tern

I sighted in frustration ,I need to give up on this argument and see reason with my grandfather ,I know my grandfather met well for me and I know he is saying all this because of Paul and his mother ,they have had their eyes on the family trust fund that was reserved for my father before he died ,which he refused making use of it instead he choose to establish his owned company,

I will need a plan,a good plan at that .

"Alright father ,my next visit I will come with my wife "I said

"Oh my son ,if you can do this I will be very happy "he replied with a very wide smiled plastered on his face

I really love my grandfather ,I had always been his favorite grandson,seeing him smile so wide this night ,made me realized how my marital status will bring happiness to his heart

"Yes father ,I promise you "

Mrs Asian came in to tell us that the dinning is set ,I had missed her Meals,so I and father went to the dinning hall to eat .

As usual she prepared a nice meal and I ate to my full.

After some little chats with my grandfather about works and random discussions,I bid him farewell and asked mrs Asian to take care of him and herself,with that I disappeared from the room and walked back into my car.

I took out my phone ,wrote down a message and sent it to Nate ,I know he can come out with something nice or better still work with what I had planned in mind .
