(Amity Colosseum)
"Welcome everyone for the 2nd round of the tournament!" Shouted from the press box above the spectators
The crowd cheered in excitement, filling the colosseum with joy and thrill as they watched the match
"And here comes the team representing Beacon Academy, its Team JNPR! Vs! The opposing team representing Shade Academy is Team BRNZ!" Exclaimed a elderly professor named Peter Port, hyping the crowd up as cheers shouted from the audience. By his side is his friend and fellow colleague Bartholomew Oobleck, spectating the two teams below as they enter the arena
The first to enter is team BRNZ consists of three male members and one female member. Their leader Brawnz Ni followed by Roy Stallion, Nolan Porfirio and lastly May Zedong. Three of their members specialized in close combat while the last member is a sniper who supports from afar
They waved to the crowd, who cheered and wished them good luck. Some even from their academy came to spectate in the colosseum or from afar watching TV to offer their support
Then from the opposite of them, entering is Team JNPR. Nora Valkyrie the ever hyper energetic ginger-haired girl is excited to break their legs, while Lie Ren the stoic quiet person just shook his head while smiling at her. Next to them is a red-haired girl named Pyrrha Nikos, the "Invincible Girl" and champion of Mistral. Stood there and giggled, amused at her teammates antics
She turned her attention to her team leader, who was smirking, appearing amused by everything. A blonde boy named Jaune Arc who was... mysterious. The blonde has a silver tongue, his way with words that will catch your interest, making everyone listen to him. Wearing yellow robes over a leather vest, shoulder and shin guards, a modified tekkō-kagi worn on top of his wrist, and his blonde hair tied in a Chinese bun style while the rest falls on his neck
She nudged her friend "You nervous Jaune?" She asked with a hint of nervousness in her voice
Jaune glanced at her, with one arm behind him and the other lifted. "Why should I be nervous when we could easily beat them in Kombat? Are you losing your faith in us, Pyrrha?" He replied, asked her mockingly hurt
"N-no, I was just asking- ummm-" she stuttered. Trying to form a sentence but was cut off by his chuckle
"Worry not" he waved it off "I have already devised a plan for us to win this round"
"Well lay it on us fearless leader!" Nora suddenly appeared, surprising Pyrrha with Ren right behind her
Jaune merely smirks at them as his eyes briefly glows green

(At the stand)
"Go Team JNPR!!" Ruby cheered for them
"Go you guys!" Yang also cheered with ruby
"Fight well!" Both Blake and Weiss cheered them on
(Back on the arena)
The arena changed into a forest theme, as trees sprouted and rocks forming. Both teams ready themselves as the countdown starts

Jaune smirks at Brawnz, who raises a brow. "From someone from Shade. I expected you all if you were worth it"
He furrowed his brows "the hells that supposed to mean" irritated by his words
"If weaklings are worth fighting" he goaded him further

Brawnz and his teammates heard it and were instantly enraged by Jaune's words. Ren and Pyrrha looked at Jaune with their eyes widened. Nora didn't care as she could barely contain the excitement as she held her hammer
Begin!
Team BRNZ enraged, ditched their original plan as May fired at Jaune who just tilted his head avoiding the shot. Brawnz charged at Jaune who strayed away from his team while Roy and Nolan handle Pyrrha and Ren. May was about to shoot but saw Nora about to smash her, she leaped away avoiding the devastating blow of Nora's hammer while she cursed herself as she avoided yet again being crushed
Nora laughs and continued to advance. While Ren is being occupied by Nolan who kept trying to hit him with his cattle prod. He used stormflower to shoot him but was on the defensive as he was suddenly hit, sending electricity on his body, incapacitating him which gave Nolan the opportunity. Fortunately, Pyrrha came to the rescue by shield bashing Nolan, knocking him down, Ren was able to snap out of it and nodded. She returned the gesture when suddenly
"Pyrrha, behind you!" Ren warned as he took aim
She rolled aside as saws were thrown at her. Ren shoots at it, causing it to alter direction and return to Roy. Roy, along with Nolan, who has just gotten up, charges at them. Ren and Pyrrha shoot at them in an attempt to gain some distance, but are forced to resort to melee as they notice them approaching. Pyrrha used her shield to deflect Roy's saws, but he kicked her with a roundhouse kick that sent her sliding. Ren was faring better against Nolan as he was faster, throwing kicks and jabs causing Nolan to grunt in pain but Ren has to be careful around Nolan's prod. The ground shaked and out flying was May who was sent tumbling to the ground as her aura protected her and stopped at their left side. She dizzily got up and made a run for it, jumping towards the trees, using her sniper rifle to catch the branch and continues to find a vantage point
Nora came and saw Ren "Hi Renny!" As she waved at him
Nolan seeing this quickly hits Nora on the head causing electricity to flow. He smirks but was replaced by confusion as he saw Nora still standing and moving. Nora barely felt it and laughed "Your funny" as she immediately swung her hammer infused with her semblance as pink electricity hit on Nolan's side, causing Nolan to fly out of the arena and comically hit the barrier. Nora looks at Ren with a big smile on her face and gives him a thumbs up, while Ren casually chuckles at her and smiled back
"Ohhhh!! Looks like Nolan Porfirio is out of the game!"
"Well..that was a "shocking" suprise there" commented Oobleck who adjusted his glasses
The crowd cheers for beacon while Nolan's body slowly falls down the barrier while he whimpers in pain
(Stands)
"Yeah!!"
"You go Nora!!"
Roy looked up and saw that one of his teammates are now out. He refocus and tried to overwhelm Pyrrha by repeatedly punching her. Pyrrha swung Miló in a downward slash as Roy took a step back, seeing this she used the momentum to stab it on the ground and used it to launch her towards him and kicked him away. She quickly grabs Miló and shifts to it's rifle form, firing quick shots at him. Roy got up but not unscathed as his aura is slowly dwindling, Pyrrha was about to shoot him again but was interrupted when she was suddenly shot at her shoulder, thankfully her aura shielded her but could feel the pain
Ren trying to find the sniper remembers jaune's plan
(Flashback)
"I will handle their leader and stray him off, away from his team. While you three deal with the rest" Jaune said as he hands Nora a custom made grenade for her launcher "the sniper could be a nuisance, that is why I will be giving this to you Nora. In order to block the snipers view you must shoot it at the center and knowing they will change locations, Ren you will be the one to take her down"
"Am I clear?"
Both Nora and Ren nodded at Jaune's words as he yet again smirk
(Flashback end)
"Nora! Now!" He said
Nora smiles and went towards Pyrrha who was clashing with Roy. "Pyrrha! Give me a boost!" She yelled
Pyrrha sees her running towards her and swiftly stops her fight with Roy, shield bashes him, making him slide away. She raises her shield, and Nora jumps far into the air. She shifts her hammer to a grenade launcher and launches the customised grenade in the centre. As the bomb landed, it emitted dense grey smoke that covered at least the arena. Roy, who happened to be nearby, was taken aback and coughed, putting his guard down. Pyrrha throws her shield, uses her semblance to manipulate the metal, and hits Roy in the chest, prompting him to emerge from the cloud, while Nora shoots at him with a normal grenade, causing explosions. Ren narrowed his eyes as he noticed movement in the trees and immediately approached it, stealthily jumping from branch to branch until he saw May trying to get a clear shot. However, as she heard movement to her right, she was struck down by a stormflower blade, forcing her to fall. Ren did not allow her much time to breathe before going down and sending an aura kick to her stomach, forcing her to fall
The screen shows May and Roy's aura now zero meaning there out. Causing the colosseum to erupt with excitement yet again
"Yeah you go Team JNPR!"
"THATS RIGHT! THATS HOW YOU DO IT!"
"Woohoo!"
(Now with Jaune)
Brawnz has been attempting to hit Jaune as quickly and hard as he can since then, but he has been unable to do so since Jaune just blocks and avoids his attacks. Furious, he activated his claws and swiped him, and Jaune swiftly backed away, putting distance between them. They slowly circled each other as Brawnz started talking
"Stop smirking, arrogant jerk! You think being in Beacon makes you special enough to look down on us? I am going to make you eat those words!" He shouted but all he received was a chuckle
"Is that the best you could say? You're all bark but no bite"
[Fight]
Brawnz went on the offensive, attempting to hit Jaune with his claws. Jaune simply toyed with him, calmly dodging all of his blows with his hands behind his back. Jaune ducks and counters him with a quick jab to the face, leaving his opponent dazed. He raises his palm, and a green light surrounds Brawnz, halting him in place. Brawnz grinds his teeth as he tries to move his body but can't. Jaune telekinetically raised him up in the air and repeatedly slammed him on the ground and hurled him away, smashing into a huge rock, causing it to crack
Brawnz tried to get up but couldn't as his aura took the brunt of the damage but are drastically low resulting in a blinking glow. He tried again and was able to stand using the rock to hold on, panting he looked towards Jaune who is approaching him. Jaune walked towards him and calmly activated his tekkō-kagi. Brawnz spits on the ground and puts his hands up in a defensive stance
"Your resolve is admirable, but you stood no chance against me" said Jaune, amused by his opponent
Jaune makes a feint at his face, prompting Brawnz to cover up his upper torso. Jaune seizes the chance and kicks him in the place where the liver would be. As the kick strikes, Brawnz feels terrible pain and his vision blurs. His punches were slow as he attempted to strike Jaune, but he was immediately hit with a barrage of slashes and a combo of a right downward slash, backhanded his face, and kicked his legs, leading Brawnz to fall face first
Decided to finish this, Jaune telekinetically takes ahold of Brawnz and again repeatedly slammed him at the ground, he now launched him high in the air, as his body began to fall, Jaune sheathes his tekkō-kagi and roundhouse kick him in the face causing his skull to fracture, sending Brawnz tumbling to the ground unconscious
"All brawns and no brain" Jaune taunted him
"And with that Team JNPR wins with a brutal finish!" Port Comments
The crowd goes wild as cheers and gasp are heard
"Would someone please get medics down there to check on Brawnz Ni. His face would seem to be bleeding profusely" said Oobleck
Jaune walks to his team as Nora is seen celebrating
"We did it!" Nora jumped in joy "We did it! We did it! We did it! WE DID IT!!!" she screamed as stars appeared in her eyes
"Yes, Nora. We did it" Ren calmly celebrated with her
Pyrrha smiled at her teammates and looks at Jaune who finally joined them
"Well, looks like your plan worked" she said
Jaune continued to smirk "have you doubted me, dear Pyrrha?" Has his hand behind him and uses the other to gesture to her
"Well...your plans always worked, Jaune" she bashfully said while scratching the back of her head
(Stands)
"Yay! They won!" Ruby celebrated
"Knew they'd make it!" Yang smiled and pumped
"Though...did Jaune have to be so rough on him?" Weiss questioned
"Heh. Who cares! Everything is great as long as they win and the guy can still breathe..." Yang replied
Blake didn't say anything and sweat drops on what Yang said
(In the other area of the stands)
There is a team from Haven as they watched the match with various expressions
Mercury jaw drop, Emerald just have her eyes widened, and a disguised Neo Politan had a big smile on her face. All three had this expressions due to Jaune's performance. Lastly, Cinder Fall continued to watch Jaune like a hawk as she had a look of interest and curiosity
'Jaune Arc... You've piqued my interest' she thought with a sly grin on her face
(Ozpin's office)
Three individuals watched the match from start to finish. One was neutral, one was amazed and the other was beaming with pride
"I've got to say Glynda. You've trained a fine student" said Ironwood as he observed Jaune through the screen
"Well, I did took him under my wing and taught him well. Thank you for the kind words James" said Glynda as she looks at Jaune with pride and joy on her face
"Yes...Mr Arc has grown into an outstanding student. His future is a bright one ahead" said Ozpin as he sipped his mug of coffee. His eyes didn't leave the screen as the camera closely focused on Jaune
Unbeknownst to all of them, a storm is brewing and it will be a dangerous one. A danger that no one could've saw
Jaune's eyes glow green as he continues to smirk. Schemes brewing inside his head as he looked at the crowd
