Chapter 4 - Timi Sloma

Should I really set up a stall to sell momo?

Soudeep Simoh was not disappointed by the system's first skill. In fact, wasn't worried in first place at all. He had once been a top student at Sikao University of Applied Science . If he hadn't gotten married, he might have made a name for himself in the applied science industry.

But he did not regret marrying Sabina Emom , because how else would he have such a lively and adorable little twin children ? His twins were the greatest gift life had given him.

No job is inherently better than another. Every job is equal. Success can come in many way , and Soudeep Simoh believed that as long as he put his heart into his work, even selling food at a momo stall, he could lead to success.

Besides, now Soudeep Simoh had the Supreme Chef system to back him up. And on top of that, his little twins had always loved the food he made, which made him enjoy cooking even more.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city…

In a massive office, the floor was a perfect sweep of white tiles, flawlessly polished. Expensive foreign art adorned the pristine coloured walls, and the design gave the space a cold, expensive look.

Sabina Emom had just returned from the Famil Court and immediately buried herself in work. The divorce did not faze her in the slightest. Her marriage to Lu Qin had always been more symbolic than real. The marriage certificate was just a piece of paper.

Sitting at her desk, she quickly fell into her rhythm, flipping through files. The first few documents were customer complaints of the Emom International Hotel Chain.

Complaint 1: [Guest in Room 21 complained that the 'Chicken Tandoori ' at the hotel's Restaurant was of poor taste . The gravy was flavourless , like plain water, with no spices whatsoever.].

Guest 2: [A newly married couple in Room 1 complained about the dish 'Crucian Fish Curry,' saying, 'Why did the chef not fry this fish before cooking it into curry? The dish is uneatable!].

Complaint 3:[An Italian buisnessman in the main presidential suite, Mr. Riso , expressed disappointment with our world famous Michelin chef. He simply requested basic grilled chicken , but was left unsatisfied.].

Sabina Emom worriedly rubbed her temples, feeling the weight of frustration. Guests' expectations from hotel dining has become increasingly high in recent years , not just at her Emom International Hotel but across the whole country. Especially for seven star chains like Emom Hotels, where the guest was either extremely wealthy or powerful, expectations for food and accommodation were extremely luxurious.

Under her impressive management, Emom Hotel had perfected its room services to the point of almost no complaints. Yet, the restaurant services remained a worried spot.

In a country where food was a significant part of cultural pride, dissatisfaction with the restaurant's fooding was more than just a simple minor flaw. It was a serious spot of worry .

For instance, at Emom Hotel's Sento City location, she had replaced the restaurant cook multiple times. They had poached top world class chefs from other five star and seven star hotel chains in country , even poaching famous chefs from USA and Italy , some of whom had even appeared on TV cooking shows.

Yet, despite all these efforts, and spending millions of dollars , guest satisfaction with the food hadn't improved a lot . It gave Sabina Emom a headache. Catering to everyone's taste buds was impossible. Should she bring in national banquet chefs? She wondered and then immediately cancelled her thoughts. That was not realistic at all .

She closed the complaint reports, deep in thought. Her eyes drifted to the nearby divorce certificate lying on table . For a few moments, she stared at it blankly, her mind elsewhere.

For the first time in 5 years , Sabina Emom felt an odd emptiness inside her. Her work, usually her life , was not today able to fill her emptiness. She moved to the sofa in her room , crossing her long, white, slender legs beneath her black business suit. She closed her eyes to rest and had her secretary bring her a cup of caupicinno. Her beautiful college graduate secretary, Ritika Rimo , knew about the divorce. As Sabina Emom 's trusted assistant, she was naturally aware about her lady boss's marriage..

Almost five Six years had passed since the lady CEO's quiet, wedding, and during all that time, Mes Sabina Emom had rarely mentioned anything about her husband. Ritika was curious about what kind of man her lady boss had married. There weren't even any photos of him in her office.

She speculated that their relationship had been not stable . But then, why did they have to marry in the first place then ? And now, why had they divorced so suddenly?

She was curious but she didn't dare to ask.

"Boss, are you tired? Should I give you a shoulder massage?" Ritika suggested .

"Mmm," Sabina Emom nodded, just as her phone rang.

"Sabina! You got divorced!" The voice on the other end was practically a loud shout.

Sabina Emom calmly held the phone farther away from her ears and responded, "Yes, I got divorced. Why does that bother you?"

"I can't believe it! Soudeep is handsome! Why would you two get divorced? Seriously, who else could stand with someone like you? You're a total workaholic with no fun in your life!"

"There were no feelings between us," Sabina Emom said, her voice plain .

"Feelings can sprout if you stay close! But you never gave him a chance. All you ever did focus on was just your work. You should have tried spending more time with him? What about your twins ?"

Her best friend, Timi Sloma was really surprised . She couldn't comprehend how Sabina Emom could walk away from Soudeep Simoh, a handsome, kind, and thoughtful man. Sabina was going to regret this.

"And what about precious little twins ?" Fang Ya asked.

"Camelia and Samuel are staying with him," Shen replied.

"You!" Timi angrily fumed. "You're going to regret the divorce, mark my words."

With that, Timi Sloma hung up the phone , too angry to keep talking to someone she felt had foolishly destroyed a perfect family.

At some point, Ritika had quietly left the room, leaving Sabina alone in the vast, luxurious office. Taking a sip of her caupicinno , Sabina's thoughts drifted to the face of the man she had just divorced.
