Chapter 10 - "I'll agree to whatever you want!!"

After the meeting, as the directors began to leave, Ling Qingxiao caught up with Feng Xian and flashed him a warm smile. "Chairman, thank you for looking out for Xiaoyi. I owe you one. Let me treat you to lunch."

Feng Xian, hands in his pockets, refused without hesitation. "I've got plans already."

With that, he turned and walked out of the room, leaving Ling Qingxiao standing there, a little disappointed. She had hoped to get closer to him, hoping to uncover the reason behind his sudden shift in attitude.

"Well, there's always next time," Ling Qingxiao mused, before remembering that Han Yue had mentioned she'd be nearby today. Quickly, she dialed her number.

"Xiaoyue, when are you free? Your godmother wants to treat you to lunch today."

On the other end, Han Yue hesitated before responding sheepishly. "Godmother, I... I already have plans. Sorry."

Ling Qingxiao hung up, feeling a bit perplexed. "What's going on? Everyone seems to have plans today."

Meanwhile, at a chic Western restaurant, Feng Xian sat across from Han Yue. She was looking down at her plate, the tension still lingering between them after their last encounter. Her silence spoke volumes, and Feng Xian couldn't help but tease her.

"If you just wanted to flaunt your presence the I'll leave."

He made a move as if to stand, but Han Yue quickly stopped him, her eyes wide. "Don't go! I've got something to say!"

Feng Xian sat back down with a smirk. "Well, then, say it."

Han Yue, finally looking up, spoke with a touch of pride. "My company, Wuyou Media, has signed a contract for a new movie. Filming's going underway, and the progress is excellent. Don't you dare underestimate me."

Feng Xian raised an eyebrow, not buying her confident tone. "Oh? Really?"

"If you're so confident, then I'm sure you won't mind if I don't back down on my new movie's release," he added, eyes glinting.

Han Yue's face faltered as he continued, "Actually, our new movie's release date is the same. Let's see how the audience reacts."

She felt a chill run down her spine. Feng Xian knew exactly what he was doing. If their two films hit the theaters at the same time, Wuyou Media would suffer a serious blow. For a giant like Feng Group, it was nothing, but for her company, this could make or break them.

"Can't you reschedule your movie?" Han Yue asked, trying to bargain.

Feng Xian shook his head. "Impossible."

Frustrated, Han Yue pushed further. "I'll agree to whatever you want—just make it happen."

Feng Xian's smirk deepened. "You think I'm some kind of fool? What do you think I'd want?"

Before she could respond, he reached over and gently touched her hand on the table. Han Yue jerked it away, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Feng Xian, what do you want!?" she demanded.

Feng Xian leaned back, his expression shifting to one of amusement. "You're acting like I haven't already kissed you. What's the big deal now?"

He leaned forward slightly, his voice low. "What I want is a stake in Wuyou Media. If there's no profit for me, then forget it. But if your new movie has something to offer me, then maybe I'll consider adjusting the release schedule."

Han Yue's eyes widened in disbelief. Becoming a shareholder would bind her company to Feng Xian forever. She shuddered at the thought of him using his influence to manipulate her even more.

"No," she said firmly, though uncertainty flickered in her eyes.

Feng Xian remained calm. He swirled the wine in his glass, clearly enjoying her discomfort. "No rush. Take your time to think it over."

The music playing in the restaurant caught his attention, and his expression brightened. He remembered that Han Yue had always valued talent, especially in music, but had yet to find someone who could impress her. Feng Xian decided to take advantage of the situation.

"I'm done eating," he said, standing up and flashing a playful grin. "Come on, sing while you finish."

Han Yue, mid-bite, froze, her mouth full. "What? Sing? Don't be ridiculous!" she protested.

"Relax," he replied, undeterred. "This place is private... So no one will record us."

Han Yue shot him a wary look. "We can't have you causing a scene. If this gets out, it could ruin both our reputations."

Feng Xian raised an eyebrow, unphased. "Do you think my singing is bad?"

Before she could protest any further, Feng Xian walked over to the stage, where a piano sat. The other diners, mostly celebrities, began to take notice. Feng Xian's confident demeanor commanded attention as he sat at the piano and gave Han Yue a meaningful glance.

"Let me serenade you," he said, his voice rich and smooth.

As he played the first notes, the restaurant fell silent. Feng Xian's fingers moved deftly across the keys, the melody filling the space with warmth. Then, he began to sing.

"The one who knows how to make me smile,

No one's more talented than you.

You've effortlessly broken into my heart,

You'll fulfill your dreams tomorrow..."

The song echoed through the room, soft and enchanting, and Han Yue, still holding her phone, was mesmerized. Her annoyance faded as she watched Feng Xian, her eyes drawn to him in a way she couldn't explain. His usual cocky demeanor was replaced with an intensity that captured everyone's attention.

Han Yue forgot she was still on the phone. Gu Nanyuan had been asking her questions, but she didn't hear a word. She was too absorbed in the song.

As the music reached its emotional peak, Feng Xian's eyes met Han Yue's across the room. His gaze was warm, full of affection. In that moment, everything around them seemed to disappear.

Han Yue felt like she was falling into those deep eyes, utterly captivated. She had never heard a song like this before. It was beautiful, and yet strangely familiar.

Curious, she quickly picked up her phone and recorded a clip, sending it to the company's music director. "Find out who wrote this song."

Feng Xian finished the piece, and the room remained in a hushed, reverent silence. Han Yue's mind raced, and she couldn't help but wonder: What was he planning? And what exactly was he up to?
