Chapter 1 - Chaos, Betrayal and Way foward!

Dawn had just arrived, and the smell of blood was prominent.

A fire could be seen burning in a cave, and three shadows were visible.

Each of them was seated cross-legged.

Only one of them was kneeling beside a young woman. He was Li Tian, and he had some raging anger in his eyes that was concealed well.

He wiped her face with a warm towel, then came back before the three figures seated cross-legged.

"I know that each of you including my sister have qualifications for cultivation and even entered the Qi refinement stage. But given our current situation, we need someone with some management ability, and only I fit this bill. I'll take over for the sake of the clan. If anyone has any objections just raise them!" He spoke without any fear.

He could see that the faces of most of them were still pale. The impact of the events that had happened had yet to fade.

The Li clan, a foundation establishment clan had been erased from existence. Perhaps the clan branches that had been scattered out were the only ones that survived. But they didn't even know where the scattered branches of the Li clan were.

In a way, they were on their own. The most suffocating thing was that even Qi refinement clans that carried favor with them in the past were searching for survivors, and it was not out of good intentions.

When they heard what Li Tian had said, none of them had any intention of objecting. To be more specific, they even didn't have any idea what to do.

"Brother Tian? Do you think it is possible to contact the Wang clan! They had a marriage alliance with our clan, their ancestor was also once rescued by our Li clan!" A man with a handsome face suddenly spoke up.

"Brother Yao! Do you think that it is possible at this point? In the past, we had at least four foundation establishment monks in the clan and occupied a good territory. Now our clan has been reduced to ruins and five of us are left. Even in the end, we could only escape with the hundred arts from the clan. Everything else has vanished. In a way, we are in trouble." Li Tian spoke with a serious expression.

The others weren't stupid, and couldn't help but become nervous.

"Brother! You mean the Wang clan will scheme against us for the only thing we have left from the clan?" Li Shou asked with a serious expression.

"Do you think things are that simple? I checked my sister's injuries and can conclude that they were caused by humans and even more importantly, it contained the signature metal element attribute from the Gensin sword technique." He replied with a cold look.

"Brother means that someone that attacked sister BingBing?" Li Yao also asked with a cold expression.

Even though the five of them had different temperaments and personalities, they grew up together. It was infuriating to discover that someone had attacked Bingbing, as she was the youngest among them.

"Yeah! I'm sure and it should have been someone Bingbing trusted. I guess that this is the Wang clan's doing! For them, we no longer have any value worth forming a marriage alliance!" He concluded with some anger.

"Damn!" The last man in the room was Li Xingyue and his face turned cold after hearing everything that had just been said.

"Brother Tian! What do you think we should do next? Can we ask for help from someone else?" Li Xingyue asked another question.

"Not at the moment!" He replied

" I always told the elders that these arranged marriages were the most unreliable thing but they ignored me. Now look! We are all stranded with no one to turn to." He complained secretly.

Looking at the gloomy expressions on everyone's faces, he couldn't help but sigh. They were all just teenagers and now burned with the cause of reviving the clan.

"Actually! The situation in the world right now is not optimistic for other clans too. No need to be too pressured. I think we should take things slowly. Since each of you has spiritual roots, you should try to think of ways to improve your cultivation. The stronger you are, the easier it will be to handle things." He said to lighten the mood.

"Huh! Cultivation? How does this help in the current situation?'' Li Zhou asked with confusion.

"We are currently weak, stranded in a strange cave due to others hunting us down. Cultivation is the only path for the four of you. I will try and see if I could get ways to gather food for us in the following period. As long as any of you breakthroughs to the third level of Qi refinement, you can focus on learning one Art. It should be able to open up some source of income for us." He replied as he looked at the seriously.

Even though Qi refinement monks could be able to kill him instantly as long as they utilized spiritual treasures, he wasn't afraid of them.

He looked down on them secretly, and perhaps he might have different thoughts about those in the seventh level and above.

But those below were no different from mortals. Their bodies were weaker than even him. He just needed to get close and could kill even a fourth-level Qi Refinement monk instantly.

It was a shame, they might not give him such a chance. He pushed these thoughts out of his mind, and then said, "Other than practice, best not leave this cave without being careful."

He couldn't stop them from leaving secretly once he went to search for food as such he just told them to be careful.

What he didn't expect was that none of them had any plans to leave the cave anytime soon.

Death they had experienced from the beast tide has stimulated them too much.

Walking away, he left the three alone and they closed their eyes to meditate.

He went back to Bingbing's side and held her hand.

"Sister! Our parents have gone! You should recover soon, and wake up, or less the Li clan will only have four people left, and only three with spiritual roots!" He complained lightly.

He then continued to whisper to himself, "I can't accept the fact that my current level is the end of my Martial arts path. Since martial arts can strengthen blood and Qi, how about learning something from the Qi cultivation path!"

He was indeed unwilling and wanted to see a higher scenery even without a spiritual root. He didn't accept that Innate was his end.

As he sat there, he kept channeling his innate Qi into the wound on Bingbing from time to time and it improved slightly, this made his expression lighten slightly.

"The quality of my innate Qi is not high otherwise it would have been a simple thing to expel this fire spiritual energy hurting Bingbing."

"Huh! Quality? Right Quality! As long as I can improve the quality of my innate Qi, I can further use it to refine my skin, flesh, internal organs and even bones. At that point, I don't believe I can't make progress!" A light bulb suddenly seemed to have been lit in his mind.

"Instead of wasting my time thinking about useless things, I should be planning on how to gather food for the five of us!" He was indeed very serious about handling the situation.

Li Tian was someone that would not go against his plans. He was of the idea to get his clan back to the heyday, or even go further.

In this world, the most taboo thing was having no backstage, as it blocked a lot of paths. It was however much easier to do alot of things, despite the burden it might put on him.

He also didn't need to meditate all the time, as such the reason he proposed to take over things

Looking at Bingbing that is showing song of getting much. He sighed, but could feel a strange force circulating in her body.

"I suspect something else is going on, but I have little knowledge and ability. Let's ignore it for now, and go to gathering food."

Li Tian stood up and walked towards the entrance of the cave with a tense expression.

He was aware that the dangers of this world, and thus careful
