Ahh… What a beautiful day to start a new chapter in Sooga City.
"Pucca, it's time to wake up!"
Uncle Dumpling's booming voice echoed through the Goh-Rong Restaurant as he carefully inspected a steaming bowl of freshly cooked noodles. He gave a firm nod of approval, a proud smile curling his lips.
Yes, the famous noodles of Goh-Rong Restaurant, located right in the heart of the city. Everyone loves them!
I mean, who wouldn't? They're the best, hahaha!
On the second floor of the restaurant, Pucca stirred awake, grumbling as Uncle Dumpling's voice broke through her morning haze.
The first thing her sleepy eyes landed on was Garu's portrait hanging on her wall.
Actually,portraits —they were everywhere.
A dreamy smile lit up her face. She jumped out of bed with newfound energy and quickly began getting ready for school.
Pucca tied her hair up into her signature twin buns, adorned with tassel ribbon bow knots that made her look even more charming. She'd chosen them especially for Garu today. Then again, every day was special as long as she could see him.
Pucca was a freshman in high school, and Garu was her senior—a year ahead. He wasn't just any student, though; he was exceptional. As the student council president, he was responsible, disciplined, and, in Pucca's eyes, the perfect person.
She was determined to join the upcoming student council elections, hoping it would bring her closer to him.
So relentless—that's the spirit!
She giggled to herself, imagining Garu seated in the council office, wearing his serious expression as he pored over reports.
The fantasy was short-lived, though, as she glanced at the clock. She gasped, snatching her bag and darting out of her room.
The bustling noise from downstairs greeted her as she reached the first floor. Customers were already flooding in—it was peak morning chaos, as usual.
"Pucca, hold on a second! You can't go to school on an empty stomach," Uncle Dumpling called out, blocking her escape route.
From the kitchen, her other two uncles poked their heads out, winking mischievously at her.
Pucca couldn't help but grin and accepted the steaming bowl of noodles that Dada handed her. Within moments, she polished it off, savoring every bite.
She waved cheerfully at them as she dashed out the door.
"Oh, to be young and full of spirit," Uncle Dumpling mused, shaking his head with a chuckle.
The three uncles shared a hearty laugh before diving back into their work. With fiery determination, they continued cooking, their martial arts seamlessly blending into every chop, stir, and flip. They shouted commands, their eyes blazing with passion.
For them, cooking wasn't just a skill—it was a way of life.
Noodles, after all, were all about perfection.
