Gods War: Civilisation was a somewhat special computer game with a simple premise.
Start as a GodÂ
Build a Civilisation
Become the one and only GoodÂ
Despite these seemingly easy steps it was very detailed and made with great care.
To win you had to start with a small tribe and build up your civilisation. That Civilisation and its inhabitants would generate Faith that you could use to influence that Civilisation. By Defeating a Civilisation and purging the belief in another God you'd defeat said God and therefore the Player.
But unlike other games of the strategy and city builder genre it was very diverse. Throughout every game you'd discover something new. Not just some small little vents here and there. No. You'd create new Races, new Cultures, Kingdoms, Empires and so much more. This diversity allowed the game to soar to great heights, becoming the top strategy game.
Sadly that success didn't last long. With the rise of VR games, the player numbers dwindled.Â
