Konohagakure, Outskirts
Police: Sir, it seems there have been traces of mysterious energy around here. It's not chakra or any known energy in our database. It seems foreign and its origin is highly unknown… and hazardous.
Kiba: Hazardous?
Police: When our researchers tried to gather it using their special containers, some particles accidentally landed on their skin. It had various negative effects such as dizziness and nausea.
Kiba: Keep me in tabs if there are some new information. Good work officer.
Police: Thank you, sir.
The police officer left and Kiba was left alone to ponder his new case assignment. Traces of unknown energies can be felt at the outskirts of Konoha, and Kiba was assigned to investigate the matter. With his squad of ten jounin police officers, he went out to investigate.
Kiba pondered upon the energy. It was new for him, and it was strange. Just as he was deep in his thoughts, a mysterious fog encapsulates the surroundings. Kiba was taken aback by the sudden change. Akamaru barked furiously at the surroundings. One by one, the screams of his men echoed as it disappears into thin air. Thanks to his keen nose, he noticed the enemy lunging towards him. It was none other than, Lisanna Strauss.
Kiba stood at the edge of the forest, eyes scanning the area with vigilance. The recent reports from the Konoha police had confirmed that something unusual was happening at the outskirts of the village—something that didn't match any known energy signatures. As a seasoned detective, Kiba trusted his instincts, and this felt like a case that was far from ordinary.
Kiba: "Unknown energy... What could it be?"
His trusted companion, Akamaru, was on high alert, his nose twitching as the pair moved deeper into the forest. Kiba had brought along a squad of ten jounin police officers, but as they ventured further, a thick, eerie fog began to roll in. Kiba felt a chill run down his spine.
Akamaru: "Woof!"
Akamaru growled, suddenly alert. Kiba's sharp ears caught the faint sounds of his men panicking in the distance, their voices echoing before abruptly vanishing. The fog seemed to swallow them up, and Kiba's instincts told him something was terribly wrong.
Suddenly, from within the mist, a figure emerged. A woman—her features calm but fierce, with silver hair flowing behind her. She moved with an unnatural fluidity, her presence commanding the air around her. Kiba instinctively crouched, ready to fight.
Kiba: "Who are you?"
The woman didn't respond. Instead, she raised her hands, and in an instant, the fog around them began to pulse, swirling in a pattern that seemed to obey her commands. Kiba narrowed his eyes, realizing that this wasn't just an ordinary attacker. Her control over the environment was unnerving.
Without warning, the woman charged forward, her movements so swift that Kiba could barely track her. She landed a powerful blow to his side, sending him skidding back.
Kiba: "Tch! She's fast!"
Akamaru rushed to his side, growling and lunging at the woman, but she sidestepped him with a fluid grace that seemed almost unnatural. Kiba's instincts screamed at him—she was no ordinary opponent. Her magic felt different, too.
As she twirled, her body began to shift and change. Kiba's eyes widened as her form altered before him, her limbs becoming more powerful and animalistic. Her body was now covered in fur, her face distorted into the features of a beast. She had taken the form of a creature—this was the power of Take Over, the magic that allowed her to transform into different beings with extraordinary strength and abilities.
Kiba's heart raced. He'd seen powerful jutsu before, but nothing like this.
Kiba: "What the hell is that?! She's using magic!"
The beast-form Lisanna lunged at Kiba, her claws slashing through the air with terrifying speed. Kiba barely managed to avoid the first strike, but the force of her claws tore through the ground where he had just been standing. Akamaru barked and jumped to intercept, but Lisanna twisted and spun, her speed too much for the dog to keep up with.
Kiba: "I need to keep my distance."
Using his agility, Kiba darted back, performing a quick series of hand signs. He hurled kunai at Lisanna, but she simply dodged them with ease, her beastly form enhancing her reflexes.
Kiba: "This isn't going to work."
Realizing that his usual tactics wouldn't work on an opponent like her, Kiba decided to change his approach. He needed to think smarter, not harder.
Lisanna, still in her transformed state, was relentless. Every strike from her claws sent shockwaves through the ground. But Kiba was fast and focused, his instincts kicking in as he analyzed the situation.
As Lisanna launched another powerful strike, Kiba sidestepped, using his speed to get behind her. In that split second, he threw a special smoke bomb into the air. The dense smoke covered the area, disorienting Lisanna and masking his movements.
Kiba: "Now's my chance!"
Kiba used his superior agility to close the distance. With a well-timed leap, he landed on her back and delivered a barrage of powerful blows with his fists, aiming for pressure points. Lisanna roared in anger, but before she could retaliate, Kiba struck her with a chakra-charged punch that disrupted her focus, breaking her transformation.
Kiba stood tall, his chest heaving as he watched Lisanna recover from his strike. He could tell she was not going to give up so easily. Her eyes were filled with resolve, and though she had shifted back into her human form, the air around her still hummed with a fierce energy.
Kiba: "You're tough. I'll give you that. But you won't beat me."
Lisanna smirked, wiping the blood from her lip. She was clearly bruised from Kiba's attack, but she wasn't backing down.
Lisanna: "We'll see about that."
In the blink of an eye, Lisanna once again tapped into her Take Over magic. This time, she shifted into a more refined, more dangerous form—a massive, winged, dragon-like creature with sharp talons and armored scales that seemed almost impervious to normal attacks. Her aura exploded with power as her wings flared open, sending a shockwave that knocked Kiba back several feet.
Kiba: "What the hell?!"
Lisanna let out a deafening roar, her dragon-like form lurching forward with speed that surpassed anything Kiba had anticipated. His eyes widened in shock as she darted toward him with terrifying velocity.
Kiba quickly dodged, using his agility to roll to the side, but Lisanna was relentless. She was on him in an instant, her claws raking across his chest and leaving deep, bleeding gashes. Kiba winced, gritting his teeth as he staggered back, clutching his wounds.
Kiba: "Damn it… I can't keep up!"
Lisanna swung her tail, the heavy, scaled appendage slamming into Kiba with such force that he was thrown several meters back, crashing into a large tree. He groaned in pain, struggling to get up, but his body felt heavy—her attacks were taking a toll.
Akamaru barked, rushing to his side, but Lisanna flicked her tail toward the dog, sending Akamaru flying across the forest floor with a single swipe. The dog landed hard, growling but unable to get back up.
Kiba: "Akamaru!"
The moment of distraction was all Lisanna needed. She swooped down, her massive dragon claws lashing out. Before Kiba could react, she caught him by the arm and lifted him into the air with one swift motion. His body dangled helplessly, his mind racing for a way to break free, but the grip of her claws was like iron.
Lisanna: "You've got a lot of fight in you, dog-boy, but this is where it ends."
With a powerful jerk, she threw Kiba into the ground with bone-crushing force. The impact left a crater in the dirt, and Kiba could feel his bones ache, his breath shallow from the shock. He tried to push himself up, but his body refused to obey. Blood seeped from his wounds, and he could barely keep his eyes open.
Lisanna landed in front of him, shifting back into her human form, though she was still radiating the remnants of her dragon-like power. She looked down at Kiba, who was struggling to rise, and her voice softened just a touch.
Lisanna: "You were a worthy opponent. But you were never going to win."
Kiba's vision blurred, and his limbs felt as though they were filled with lead. He tried to reach for a kunai at his waist, but his hand was trembling. He couldn't muster the strength.
Kiba: "Who... are you... really?"
Lisanna knelt down beside him, brushing a strand of hair from her face. Her expression was unreadable.
Lisanna: "It doesn't matter anymore. You'll be unconscious long before you get any answers."
She raised her hand, and Kiba, too exhausted to even react, saw her summoning a wave of magic. The energy around her crackled and pulsed with power. Kiba's vision darkened, and he felt his consciousness slipping away.
In one final, effortless motion, Lisanna sent a surge of magic into the ground beneath him. The energy spread quickly, and the last thing Kiba felt before his world went black was a strange, suffocating pressure that made it impossible to breathe.
When Kiba awoke, he was bound and lying on the cold ground. His wounds were still painful, but not as severe as before. The fog had lifted, and he found himself surrounded by his fallen comrades, their bodies unconscious but alive. Lisanna was standing nearby, observing him with a detached interest, her arms crossed.
Lisanna: "I didn't want to kill you, but you forced my hand."
Kiba gritted his teeth, trying to fight against his restraints, but it was no use. Lisanna's magic had left him too weak to put up any meaningful resistance.
Kiba: "You... you're a monster..."
Lisanna: "I'm just doing what's necessary."
She turned away, signaling for the rest of her team to approach. Kiba watched helplessly as they began to drag the unconscious forms of his comrades away. His mind raced with questions, but his body was too battered to do anything about it. He could only hope that his squad would wake up in time to stop whatever Lisanna and her team were planning.
