It's twelve years ago in shalom high school.
18 Year old Susan was going through the carefully structured and arranged books in the library. She was in a well ironed shirt, tucked in a white one black stripped knee length skirt.Her well polished black shoes and white stockings complemented her uniform.
She carefully adjusted her glasses with her right hand, holding some books on the other hand. She uses her hand to carefully search the books in the shelf. She picks a book and smiles. She looks through the book while working out of the section of the library when she bumps into someone. The books on her hand fell on the floor, while looks up to see who she had bumped into. It was Kelvin.
He bends down to pick the books and stretches the book towards her
"I'm sorry, I should have watched where I was going"
She collects the book from him
"No problem" she said with a smile.
Kelvin turns back and leaves while Susan blushingly watches him from behind.

Susan laughs, she couldn't believe she had been deceiving herself all this while.
"I'm sorry for acting strange in front of you, I was stupid to think I wouldn't be recognized by an old classmate"
Kelvin laughs as well
"I guess I was stupid as well to ignore you "
They both laugh. A light from outside suddenly points towards them and moves closer to them. The reflection from the light caught their attention and they look towards the light. The light stops at the door, someone was trying to open the door.
Kelvin and Susan looked at eachother at the same time and laughed as if they knew the each other's thought.
The door opens and a security man opens the door and gasps, he couldn't believe he had locked up people in the office. He points the light towards them and seeing the C.E.O made him terrified.
"I... I am so sorry sir" he stammered .
Kelvin stands to leave, as he was about to get out of the door, he turns back and sees Susan struggling to walk.
"Are you fine?"
"Yes, just sprained my ankle while walking down the stairs"
She said while trying to walk on a leg . Kelvin watches her for a while, he nods his head and sighs. He walks towards her while she looks at him curiously. He bends over and carries her. She was surprised.she tried to free herself from his hands
"I can walk on my own, you don't have to do this"
"Says someone who hasn't taken more than two steps in the past five minutes"
She remained quiet as she rested on his broad shoulders.
The security man closes the door behind them.
Kelvin carried her all the way to where his car was and drops her down
"Thank you sir. I brought my car, it isn't parked far away from here"
"Can you drive with a leg and isn't it dangerous to drive yourself this late?"
Susan looks at him strangely and thinks in her head
"What does he mean by late, this is just 11:48pm"
Kelvin snaps her out of her thoughts
"I'll drive you home"
He opens the door for her to get inside and closes the door behind her as she enters.
"I'll be back in a minute" he tells her from through the window.
Susan nods in the affirmative. Kelvin turns back and goes towards the security man, who was so scared already.
"I'm so sorry sir, I went to get something to eat and I didn't know that there was anyone in the office again, I'm so sorry sir, it's all my fault"
Kelvin touches the man on his shoulder
"Well, it is. So don't let anyone know about what happened, If by chance I hear any rumour..." kelvin looks into the man's eyes sternly and suddenly smiles. The security man understanding the threat, bows his head down
"I promise you sir, you won't hear it from anybody"
Kelvin nods and turns back and suddenly turns back as though he remembered something
"How did you know we were inside"
"I saw the reflection of the light from outside, it was suspicious so I came to take a look"
Kelvin turned back and leaves, he enters his car and he puts on the seat belt. He looks at Susan already in the seat belt, she sees him look at him and writes down the address of her street on the car's navigation system. Kelvin drives off.
The car window was closed and the A.C turned on. Susan was staring out the window while kelvin was focused on driving.
The atmosphere was awkward, the road was empty and the car was quiet.
Susan wanted to break the silence but couldn't think of what to say, she thought of various things to say but she couldn't bring herself to say those words.
Kelvin also thinking of what to say to break the silence
"You don't use the glasses anymore" he said with his face looking at the road.
Susan looks at him
"Ooh...yes I use contact lens"
"Oh okay"
Susan turned her face back towards the window while kelvin turns on the car stereo.
It became awkwardly quiet again while the stereo kept playing.
Kelvin stops the car right in front of Susan's apartment.
"Well I guess we've arrived at your home"
"Yes, thank you"
She gets down from the car and closes the door. She limps towards the block and turns back, she waves at him and signals for him to leave. He waves back at her and watches her reach the door. She turns back again
"You can leave now" she shouted, while waving at him, he nods and waves back at her.
Susan turns back and goes inside her apartment.
Kelvin enters his car as soon as he sees her entering her house. He closes the door and zooms off, while Susan peeps out of her window. She sees him drive off and smiles from the window.
