Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

"Try it, I sprinkled some coarse salt on it. See if you like it?" Amu looked at Sulu, handing her the roasted meat.

He wasn't sure if his mate would like the roasted meat he made.

"I'll try it." Sulu replied, looking forward to it.

It was her first time trying roasted meat here.

Taking a bite, a little oil oozed out, and the outside was crispy while the inside was tender. It tasted really good.

Not only that, but for some reason, she thought the meat from this beast world was incredibly tender and delicious. The salt was just right.

It was really good!

This was the simplest roasted meat, yet it tasted so original.

"It's delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You're really great at this!" Sulu praised, taking big bites of the roasted meat, feeling very satisfied.

Actually, she was really enjoying this kind of life.

"Amu, can you tell me more about your world? I come from a faraway tribe, so I really don't know much about your customs."

"I got separated from my tribe, and meeting you is such a blessing." Sulu said, looking at Amu.

That was the only explanation she could give.

"I can tell. You're different from the beastmen here, you must be from a big tribe. Our tribe is actually quite simple. This is Beastman Land, Beastman Forest. There are many beastmen, many tribes and races here. The Beastman Forest is very large, and few beastmen leave this forest!"

"Not only our tribe lives here, but there are also many rogue beasts, who are very dangerous.

They are beasts abandoned by the Sacred Beasts, and they never cherish females. They kill, set fires, rob females, and torture them. So, you must never wander off by yourself, understand?"

"Outside the tribe, it's very dangerous. Females are weak and timid. Once they leave the tribe, it's hard for them to survive. If you want to go anywhere, just tell me.

Never wander off out of curiosity." Amu warned seriously.

He was worried that Sulu might not understand the dangers here and, out of curiosity, wander off.

He had to remind her.

"I understand, don't worry. By the way, when you were processing the wild beast earlier, I saw a blue light on your hand. What was that?" Sulu asked curiously.

She had wanted to ask earlier but didn't disturb Amu while he was busy.

"Ah, that's Wind Blade!" Amu smiled, raised his long finger, and with a swipe, cut the dry wood nearby into two.

"Wind Blade, a blade formed by wind. That's amazing!" Sulu was stunned.

It was indeed a supernatural ability!

So cool!

She couldn't help but envy it.

"This is my talent. I have the wind attribute. It can be used for attack. And I'm fast too. Your mate is a rare Green-tier powerhouse, one of the strongest young male warriors in our tribe." Amu spoke proudly.

He wanted Sulu to understand his strength and potential so she could believe he could protect her well.

"That's amazing! So what's a Green-tier?" Sulu asked, curious.

Could there really be rankings for strength?

"Beastman Forest is divided into seven levels: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. I'm a Green-tier powerhouse with wind attribute. The tribe leader, my beast father, has the earth attribute.

Only the two of us in the village have special attributes. There are many strong warriors, but those with special attributes are rare." Amu explained seriously, still flipping the roast meat.

The fat sizzled in the fire, and the meat fragrance slowly spread.

"Special attributes, that's so amazing. But what about females? Do they have strength or special attributes?" Sulu asked.

She was really curious.

Since the beastmen were so strong and had supernatural abilities, did that mean she could have them too?

She thought, if she could have such amazing abilities, life here wouldn't feel so scary and uncertain anymore.

If she could gain strength, she wouldn't have to rely on others. Though she had the system, who knew if one day it would stop working?

Being strong herself was the best.

"I see." Amu looked at Sulu with some confusion in his eyes.

Could it be that she really didn't know these basic things? Was her old tribe too protective of her, keeping her from learning these common facts?

"Females don't have special attributes, and it's hard for them to have strength. They're generally just regular females. Of course, there are exceptions, but they're few and far between." Amu said seriously.

Since she didn't know anything, he thought he'd teach her. He also vowed to protect her better.

"No strength, huh." Sulu's eyes instantly dimmed when she heard his words.

Why were the males so strong while the females were just ordinary?

"Little deer, you have me. I'll protect you. Females rely on their mates for protection." Amu said, handing her the roasted meat he had just finished cooking.

Sulu took the roasted meat, gazing into his determined eyes, and nodded.

[Host, don't be discouraged. As long as you complete your mission and give birth to offspring for a strong male, you'll receive many unexpected rewards. You may even get what you desire.]

[As long as we work hard to have children, we can have everything!]

The system's voice rang in Sulu's mind.

Sulu's eyes instantly lit up when she heard this.

That's right!

With the system, everything was fine.

Having children, having children, hehe, the more the merrier!

She felt motivated!

"By the way, am I pregnant with Amu's child now?" Sulu asked the system in her mind.

They had mated, and she had taken the pregnancy pill. So, could it be...

[You are already pregnant. You'll be able to give birth in three months. Of course, the pregnancy period depends on the male's talent, but it's usually around three months.]

[Good luck, host!]

The system sounded a bit cheerful and excited.

Sulu was ecstatic upon hearing this.

So fast!

Three months was not long at all, and she could accept that.

Humans' pregnancy lasted ten months, and the pregnancy period of a sika deer was seven to eight months. If she only had to wait three months, that was a much shorter wait. There was no better news than this.

"What's wrong, little deer?" Amu asked as he looked at Sulu, who seemed a bit lost in thought one moment and happy the next.

"It's nothing, just thought of something happy." Sulu lifted her head and smiled at him.

She decided not to tell him about the pregnancy just yet. She would wait until half a month later to tell him. It would be awkward to tell him so soon after their first mating, right?

"Then, tell me about it, so I can be happy too." Amu laughed, looking at the smiling little female, and his heart raced.

He couldn't help but remember how shy she was last night, and it made him feel... a bit hot.

No wonder the beastmen with mates seemed to be so obsessed with these things.

Now, having experienced the sweetness himself, he couldn't stop thinking about it.
