Chapter 2 : AWAKENED IN HIS BED
Jensyn's eyes fluttered open, but instead of feeling refreshed after waking up, a pounding headache greeted her, and her throat felt drier than the Sahara.
The room she had woken in was unfamiliar. Soft silk sheets tangled around her bare skin, and lavish decor stretched out before her—golden curtains, plush carpet, and dark wood furniture. This wasn't her room.
Panic gripped her chest, making it hard to breathe. How in hell did I get here?
Her mind raced as she struggled to piece together fragments of the night before. The last clear memory she had was of Derek Mills, and the restaurant staff chasing after her.
What happened last night? Why can't I remember?
Her gaze drifted down, and she realised, with a screeching jolt, that she was half-naked—save for her underwears.
