Michael's POV
"The lawyer is calling again, boss." Andrew stretched out the phone to me, wanting me to pick the lawyer's call but one look I gave him, he returned the phone back to the table.
It has been three since I last saw Alaina, my bride. I don't even know where she lives. I had men go to her house, the same one she wanted to sell and she wasn't there.
She refused all of my offers. What exactly does she want? It was frustrating that I had to beg a woman to act as my wife. I couldn't just pick up any woman from the street. That would spoil my reputation.
"I am going home. Bring the remaining work home." I told Andrew and left the office. I was exhausted and sleep was all I needed now.
