Chapter 1 - Chapter One

"I take it you're ready to move in, Alexander?"

I looked up at the man, Vaughn, with green hair and green eyes behind the glasses, he looked sophisticated. I nodded, pulling the handle of the suitcase.

"Need help with that?"

I raised an eyebrow at him, before shaking my head, pulling it on my own as he walked me to the dorm buildings.

"You've come a long way from home, I hope to see great things from you, Alexander."

I nodded as I slid down the handle into the suitcase, picking it up to carry it up the stairs of the dorm building. The walk up the stairs to the third floor was quiet, the only sounds were our footsteps echoing in the quiet building.

"Everyone is in class right now, you will be joining them tomorrow, use today to settle in and get familiar with the neighborhood."

I hummed as he walked me to a door, taking out a key from his pocket to open it.

"You will be staying here for the duration of your stay in this school."

He smiled as he let me inside the not-so-small room, handing me the keys which I took as I walked inside the room. I looked around, spotting three doors, a bathroom was one of them, was the other one a kitchen? One of them was the bedroom for sure.

I hummed, turning to the headmaster and nodding. He nodded back, folding his arms behind his back.

"I shall leave you to it, good day, Alexander."

He turned and walked away... Leaving the door open... Dick move.

I sighed, walking over and closing the door, locking it from the inside.

I took a deep breath pressing my head against the door for a moment.

"...Damn jet lag..."

I muttered, pushing myself off the door and walking towards one of the doors, stopping half way across the room and looking to the right, seeing another room, the fridge visible from the door.

Oh, so the kitchen was there...

This place had two rooms? Damn, talk about a top school...

I walked over to the doors, opening one and seeing a bed, a desk, and a night stand, that was about it, it would need to be decorated later, but for now, it would do.

I walked over to the bed, and dropped down on it, my head making contact with the admittedly soft pillow.

___

I looked around, looking down at my phone to check the map, following the blue line until I reached the mall, finally, it took me 30 minutes to get there...

I looked down at my phone again, going to the play store to check if the maps needed and update, and as it turns out, it did.

I sighed, pressing the update button and putting the phone back in my pocket as I went inside the mall.

I stopped mid-step when turning my head to stare at a sports store. Turning on my foot, I walked inside, grabbing a pair of arm sleeves and paying for them.

I hummed, waving away the offer for a bag, I put them on my arms, sliding my thumbs to the hole to act like fingerless gloves.

I continued my exploration of the mall, coming to a stop at a gym. Walking inside, I looked around for a moment to see if anyone would come to assist me.

There was one muscular guy, looking around the gym before he turned his head and saw me. Turning to me, he smiled, walking over.

"Hello kid, need any help? Are you looking for someone?"

I shook my head in response, my hands in my pockets.

"I want to register at the gym."

I muttered, looking at the treadmills for a moment. The man blinked and his smile widened.

"Ah, even better, come over here, I'll register you."

I nodded, following him to what I assumed was the reception desk. He walked around, sitting down on a chair and pulling the keyboard closer to him.

"The registration fee is 40 Dollars a month, will that be okay with you?"

I nodded, Pulling out my wallet and taking out my card. The man typed something on the computer, before grabbing the scanner and holding it out to me.

I pressed the card on the sensor and a second later it beeped, indicating that the payment had been confirmed.

"All done."

The man hummed, handing me a card that had a bar code on one end and the logo of the gym, which was just a red silhouette of a man lifting two dumbells.

"The name's Tylor, if you need anything just look for me, alright?"

I nodded, putting both cards in my wallet.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Tylor."

Putting the wallet in my pocket I turned to leave the gym, since I still had to buy some school supplies.

"See you tomorrow, kid!"
