Chapter -4.
In a flash, Lester's expression toward the prisoners softened, and the anger he had been feeling began to fade away.
They were no longer just his fellow inmates; in Lester's eyes, they had transformed into valuable gold mines!
If they couldn't bring him any fear value, then there was no reason to keep this bunch of riffraff alive. But if they could give him some fear value, then Lester would surely enjoy playing with them.
Gripping the stone knife, still smeared with blood, Lester cautiously moved to the right of the muscular man.
At that moment, the muscular man was dazed, bewildered about how Lester had managed to stay so clean despite all the chaos.
Blood was pouring from the muscular man's right side where the sharp knife had not only sliced through his flesh but also damaged his kidney.
Slowly, a wave of intense pain spread throughout his body, leaving him confused about whether it was from the severe blood loss or the kidney injury.
Standing was becoming increasingly difficult for him.
Stumbling back to his lower bunk, he pressed his hand against the wound and weakly asked for help.
Sadly, the other six inmates ignored the muscular man's desperate pleas.
Among them, the lecherous old man watched Lester in awe, trembling in fear as he shielded his lower body, terrified that Lester might suddenly appear before him and attack.
"You guys..." The muscular man scowled at the six who feigned ignorance, the anger boiling inside him. He never imagined that after serving as their leader for so long, they would treat him this way.
Suddenly!
A sharp sound cut through the air again in the cell.
Lester, tightly gripping the knife, advanced toward the muscular man still ranting on the bed, and with a swift movement, he plunged the knife into the man's thigh.
The stone knife was incredibly sharp, thanks to the muscular man's intensive training.
It sliced through the skin of the muscular man's thigh effortlessly, as though it were cutting through a simple sheet of paper.
With a sudden push, the entire 10 cm knife was embedded in the muscular man's thigh until it struck bone, halting at that point.
But it didn't stop there; the moment it made contact with the bone, Lester yanked the knife out and aimed for the muscular man's eyes.
The muscular man, driven by pain and fury, had bloodshot eyes glaring at everything in front of him, anticipating Lester's next move.
Unfortunately, Lester's speed left the muscular man with no time to react.
As Lester struck his thigh, blood also erupted from the muscular man's eyes.
The knife quickly found its target.
"Ah!!!!"
The muscular man could no longer contain his agony and let out a piercing scream.
The horrifying cry echoed throughout Azkaban, startling even Sirius, who was deep within the prison, contemplating how to pass the time.
"Oh no!"
At the sound of the muscular man's scream, the other six prisoners looked terrified.
The lecherous old man in the corner quaked in fear, releasing muffled cries.
Including the muscular man, everyone in the cell changed their expressions dramatically.
The injured man quickly lay back down, forgetting his wound as panic coursed through him.
The others, caught off guard, dropped to the floor, covering their faces with their hands, terrified even the slightest noise would attract the attention of the Dementors.
A chilling silence fell over the cell, causing every inmate to tremble in unison.
Shaky hands muffled their mouths, afraid to make a sound.
With a creak, a rusty iron door began to open, pushed aside by a decaying finger.
The air filled with a sense of dread, as a Dementor wrapped in a tattered black cloak floated through the doorway.
Underneath the heavy robe, its lifeless eyes scanned the frightened inmates before it.
The prisoners felt a deep chill, as if they had fallen into an icy void, their bodies shaking uncontrollably.
But for Lester, who had activated an incredible invisibility spell, he stood boldly right in front of the Dementor, unaffected by the waves of fear it induced.
As he stepped around the Dementor, Lester made his way toward the cell door.
Noticing the sliver of an opening the Dementor had created, a spark of hope lit up in Lester's eyes.
This was his moment to escape!
While the opening may have been too narrow for an adult, it was just the right size for a ten-year-old like him.
Inside the cell, the newly entered Dementor was focused on the seven trembling prisoners, eagerly siphoning the happiness from their spirits.
On the lower bunk, the muscular man was fearfully biting his own arm, shutting his eyes tightly against the pain, and trembling from head to toe.
Although his body ached, he understood he could not reveal himself in front of the Dementor.
Otherwise, that dark being would have a chance to consume his soul. Just the thought of his soul being devoured sent waves of terror through him.
Eventually, as the satisfied Dementor, having feasted on the prisoners' fears, turned to leave, a sigh of relief spread across the room. But then—
Another wound opened on the muscular man's thigh.
"What the hell!" he gasped, astonished. He never expected that even with the Dementor there, Lester would still come after him.
What grudge did Lester holt? He only wanted to caution him; did it really need to escalate this far?
The other prisoners widened their eyes in shock, watching the new wound appear. Their fear of Lester escalated significantly.
Those who are weak fear the strong, the strong fear the tough, the tough fear the ruthless, and the ruthless fear the reckless.
Lester undoubtedly embodied the essence of ruthlessness; his willingness to act violently in front of the Dementor illustrated his deep-seated animosity toward the muscular man.
Just for someone making you sleep in a toilet, he sought to extinguish your soul?
Wasn't that a tad excessive?
Reflecting on their previous brushes with relentless figures, the other inmates shuddered in fear.
[Ding! Fear value +100 from prisoner, Leonardo]
[Ding! Fear value +100 from prisoner, Quentin]
...
One after another, Lester's system interface lit up with numerous alerts, bringing him a total of 700 fear points.
