I watched as Rico walked out of the room, feeling a sense of unease. What did the police want?
Luca stood beside me, his eyes scanning the room. "Don't worry, Vivienne," he said. "Rico will take care of everything."
I nodded, trying to feel reassured. But as I heard the sound of sirens outside, my anxiety spiked.
The door to the room burst open, and two police officers walked in. "Rico Martinez?" one of them asked, looking around the room.
Luca stepped forward. "He's not here right now," he said. "Can I help you with something?"
The officer's eyes narrowed. "We have a warrant for Rico Martinez's arrest," he said. "We need to speak with him immediately."
I felt a wave of shock wash over me. Arrest? What was going on?
Luca's expression turned cold. "I'll go get him," he said.
As Luca walked out of the room, I turned to the officers. "What's going on?" I asked. "Why do you want to arrest Rico?"
The officer's expression turned sympathetic. "I'm sorry, ma'am," he said. "But Rico Martinez is wanted for questioning in connection with a money-laundering scheme."
I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Money laundering? Was it true?
As I stood there, trying to process what was happening, Rico walked back into the room. His eyes locked onto the officers, and his expression turned cold.
"What's going on here?" he asked, his voice firm.
The officer stepped forward. "Rico Martinez, you're under arrest for questioning in connection with a money-laundering scheme."
Rico's eyes flashed with anger, but he didn't resist. Instead, he turned to me and smiled.
"It's going to be okay, Vivienne," he said. "I'll take care of this."
As the officers led Rico away in handcuffs, I felt a wave of uncertainty wash over me. What was going to happen next?

Rico's POV:
As I walked out of the room in handcuffs, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anger. This was all a setup, and I knew it.
But as I looked back at Vivienne, I saw the fear in her eyes. And I knew I had to protect her.
I turned to the officers. "I want to make a phone call," I said.
The officer nodded. "You can make a call at the station," he said.
I nodded, my mind racing. I needed to get out of this situation, and fast.
As I was led away in handcuffs, I couldn't help but think about Vivienne. She was scared, and I didn't blame her. This was all a setup, and I knew it.
The officers took me to the police station, where I was booked and thrown into a cell. I sat on the cot, trying to think of a way to get out of this mess.
Just as I was starting to lose hope, I heard the sound of footsteps outside my cell. The door opened, and a familiar face walked in.
"Rico, my man," the face said, with a smile. "What have you gotten yourself into this time?"
It was my lawyer, Alex. I had called him as soon as I arrived at the station, and he had promised to come and get me out.
"Alex, thank God you're here," I said, standing up. "I need to get out of here, now."
Alex nodded. "I'm working on it, Rico," he said. "But first, we need to talk about what's going on."
I nodded, and Alex sat down on the cot beside me.
"Tell me everything," he said.
I took a deep breath, and started to explain. I told him about Sophia, and the money-laundering scheme. I told him about Vivienne, and how she had gotten caught up in all of this.
As I finished my story, Alex nodded thoughtfully.
"I think I see what's going on here," he said. "But we need to be careful. Sophia is a powerful woman, and she's not going to go down without a fight."
I nodded, knowing that Alex was right.
"What's the plan?" I asked.
Alex smiled. "We're going to get you out of here, and then we're going to take down Sophia," he said. "But first, we need to make sure that Vivienne is safe."
I nodded, feeling a surge of relief. Alex was on the case, and I knew that he would do everything in his power to protect Vivienne and me.
As Alex stood up to leave, I stopped him.
"Wait," I said. "What about Vivienne? Is she okay?"
Alex nodded. "I sent one of my guys to keep an eye on her," he said. "She's safe, for now."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Vivienne was safe, and that was all that mattered.
As Alex left, I sat back down on the cot, feeling a sense of hope for the first time since I had been arrested. I was going to get out of here, and I was going to make sure that Vivienne was safe.

Vivienne's POV:
As I watched Rico being led away in handcuffs, I felt a wave of fear wash over me. What was going to happen to him?
I turned to Luca, who was standing beside me.
"What's going to happen to Rico?" I asked.
Luca's expression was grim.
"I don't know," he said. "But we need to get you out of here, now. His lawyer Alex Smithson has been contacted and if there is anyone who could be of help right now, it's him. The guy is the best at what he does, so just relax, it'll all be fine".
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Luca was going to take care of me and Rico was going to be fine.
As we left the police station, I couldn't help but think about Rico. Was he okay? Was he going to be okay?
I pushed the thoughts aside, knowing that I had to focus on my own safety right now.
Luca took me to a safe house, where I was greeted by one of Alex's guys.
"Hi, I'm Mike," he said, with a smile. "I'm here to keep an eye on you."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I was safe, for now.
As I sat down on the couch, Mike handed me a phone.
"Alex wants you to have this," he said. "He'll be in touch soon."
I nodded, feeling a sense of hope for the first time since Rico had been arrested. As I sat there, waiting for Alex to call, I couldn't help but think about Rico. Was he okay? Was he going to be okay?
I pushed the thoughts aside, knowing that I had to focus on my own safety right now.
