Raven splashed some cold water on her face, trying to compose herself. She couldn't afford to mess this up.
She took another deep breath and looked at herself in the mirror, trying to see if she could pass off as Felix. Her blackish purplish hair was still messy from earlier and her face was slightly flushed. She needed to fix herself up quickly before Chozen got suspicious.
Raven ran some water over her hands and wiped her face clean. She looked at her reflection again, making sure she didn't look too much like herself. She sighed and straightened her shoulders, preparing herself to face her father once again.
Raven took one last look in the mirror, trying to steady her breathing. She knew she had to keep up the act and pretend to be Felix.
With a deep breath, she unlocked the bathroom door and stepped out into the hallway. She could hear voices coming from Chozen's office, but she couldn't make out what they were saying.
Raven slowly made her way towards Chozen's office, trying not to draw attention to herself. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, but she refused to give up. She needed to see this through if she wanted to keep her siblings safe and mommy safe.
"Brother the Miracle Worker will be there on Wednesday so just need to pay her sum money to come with us to Mother Star Planet in New York City to see our grandmother," Seraphine said. Raven stopped they are talking about mommy?
"How much would she take?" Damien asked as Chozen sat on his chair and tapped his finger on his desk.
"100 million dollars," Chozen said as he nodded his head. Raven scuffed mommy won't take that money at all.
Raven's eyes widened as she heard the amount of money being discussed. 100 million dollars was a lot, even for someone like Chozen Beaufort.
She knew that her mother would never take such an outrageous sum of money, but something about the conversation piqued her curiosity. She moved closer to the door and listened intently.
"That's a lot of money," Damien said quietly.
"It is but the Miracle Worker will come to us if we give her this amount of money," Seraphine said as she crossed her arms.
Chozen leaned back in his chair, a contemplative look on his face. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to pay for the Miracle Worker's services. Plus we have so much money that 100 million dollars to us it's like twenty bucks," Chozen said.
Raven frowned at their words. Something about this situation didn't feel right to her. Why would they need someone like the Miracle Worker anyway?
Raven continued to listen intently as the conversation between Chozen and his siblings continued.
"We need to make sure that our grandmother is okay," Seraphine said quietly.
"She's getting old and frail. The Miracle Worker can help with that," Damien added.
Chozen nodded silently, his expression still serious. "Yes, we do need to ensure that our grandmother is well taken care of."
Raven felt a pang of guilt as she listened to them discuss their grandmother's health. It sounded like they genuinely cared about her wellbeing but why did they need someone like the miracle worker?
Raven decided to move closer to the door listening carefully to their conversation. She needed to find out what was going on before she made any decisions. She suddenly fall and the door slammed opened and everyone stared at her.
"Felix are you okay?"
They want mommy help but that won't be easy.
Chozen looked at Raven, his eyes narrowing as he saw her fall and the door slam open.
"Felix, are you alright?" He asked quietly, concern etched on his face.
Raven quickly stood up and dusted herself off, trying to act casual.
"I-I'm fine," she said quietly.
Damien chuckled softly and shook his head.
"Looks like someone was eavesdropping," he teased.
Seraphine shot Damien a look, trying to shut him up. She then turned her attention back to Raven.
"You really should be more careful," she said quietly, a hint of annoyance in her voice.
Raven gulped nervously as all eyes were on her. She knew she had been caught eavesdropping, but she couldn't help it. Her curiosity got the better of her.
"She won't do it," Raven mumbled.
The room fell silent as everyone turned to look at Raven.
"What do you mean she won't do it?" Chozen asked quietly, his eyes narrowing even further.
Raven swallowed nervously and tried to keep her voice steady.
"I mean the Miracle Worker...she won't take that much money," she said quietly.
Seraphine raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "And how do you know that?" she asked quietly.
Damien crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, a sly smile on his face.
"Yeah, Felix. How exactly do you know that?"
Raven fidgeted nervously under their intense gaze. She knew she had to come up with a good explanation or risk blowing her cover.
"Just rumors that's all um I heard she normally only does something that interesting to her and if it's worth her time," Raven said.
Chozen's expression darkened as he looked at Raven.
"And where did you hear these rumors?" he asked quietly, his voice cold.
Raven could feel her heart racing in her chest. She had to think fast or she was going to get caught.
Seraphine looked at Raven skeptically, her eyes narrowing. "You seem to know a lot about this Miracle Worker," she said quietly.
Damien chuckled softly and pushed himself off the wall.
"Yeah, Felix. Care to share your sources?" he teased.
Raven could feel beads of sweat forming on her forehead as they continued to press her for answers.
She stayed quiet.
The room fell silent as Raven remained quiet, refusing to answer their questions. Chozen's eyes were cold and calculating as he looked at her.
"You're not telling us something, Felix," he said quietly.
Seraphine and Damien exchanged glances, both sensing that there was more to the story than Raven was letting on.
Raven's heart pounded in her chest as Chozen questioned her. She knew she had to keep up the act, but his intense gaze was making it hard for her to think straight.
"I-I already told you," she said quietly.
Chozen's expression darkened even further as he continued to stare at her.
"You're hiding something," he said quietly, his voice firm.
Seraphine and Damien exchanged looks of concern, both sensing that there was more going on than they realized.
"Victor Frost said it!" Raven said and she looked away sorry uncle please come up with a lie for her.
Chozen's expression darkened even further as he heard the name Victor Frost.
"Victor said it, huh?" he repeated quietly.
Seraphine and Damien exchanged surprised glances, clearly not expecting that answer.
"And why would Victor Frost know about this Miracle Worker?" Chozen asked quietly, his eyes narrowing as he continued to study Raven.
Raven could feel her heart racing in her chest again. She knew she was treading on dangerous ground, but she had no choice but to keep going with the lie.
"Dad! That's all I know okay I am angry now," Raven said and pouted.
Chozen turned his head and looked at Raven, his expression softening slightly. He knew that Felix was often stubborn and easily angered.
"Felix, don't pout," he said quietly.
"I understand that you're upset."
Seraphine and Damien exchanged amused glances, both of them finding Raven's pouting expression to be somewhat comical.
Seraphine smirked.
"Looks like someone is throwing a tantrum," she teased quietly.
"You…"
"My Felix nephew, I am your Auntie Seraphine pretending not to know me huh," Seraphine said as she kissed Raven cheek who backed away.
Raven felt her heart skip a beat as Seraphine suddenly kissed her cheek.
"Auntie?" she said quietly, confusion written all over her face.
Seraphine chuckled softly and ruffled Raven's hair affectionately.
"Don't act so surprised," she teased.
Raven's face turned red as Seraphine kissed her cheek and ruffled her hair affectionately.
"Auntie," Raven repeated quietly, still feeling a bit dazed by Seraphine's unexpected display of affection.
Chozen raised an eyebrow at Seraphine's actions but said nothing. Damien chuckled softly and leaned back on the couch, watching the interaction between them with amusement.
Seraphine noticed the look on Chozen's face and smirked.
"Oh, relax," she said teasingly.
"I'm just showing my nephew some love."
Damien chuckled again, clearly enjoying the sight of Raven being flustered by Seraphine's affectionate gesture.
Raven blushed even harder under Seraphine's affectionate gaze. She had always been sensitive to physical contact, especially when it came to people she didn't know well. She only liked it when her mother showed affection to her.
Seraphine chuckled softly as she noticed how red Raven's face was getting.
"Oh, look at that blush," she teased.
"You're as red as a tomato."
Damien snickered quietly and elbowed Chozen in the side.
"Looks like someone's got a crush," he teased quietly.
Chozen rolled his eyes at Damien's comment and shot him a glare. "Knock it off," he said quietly.
Seraphine smirked and placed her hand on Raven's cheek again, caressing it gently.
"You're so cute when you blush like that," she teased affectionately.
Zal walked inside he looked at his Boss Chozen who glared at him and everyone became quiet.
"I have information about Miss. Willow," Zal said as he cleared his throat.
Everyone turned their attention to Zal, the air in the room becoming tense.
"What information?" Chozen asked quietly, his eyes flickering with curiosity.
