Sarah's POV
The reception was over, and the world around us finally quieted. It was just me and Eren now, husband and wife. The weight of those words was both exhilarating and daunting.
As we walked into our hotel suite, I couldn't help but marvel at its elegance. The room was bathed in soft, golden light. Rose petals were scattered across the bed, and a bottle of champagne sat chilling by the window. It felt like something out of a dream.
Eren closed the door behind us, his hand lingering on the small of my back. His touch was gentle but deliberate, sending a thrill down my spine.
"Finally," he murmured, turning me to face him.
His blue eyes locked on mine, filled with a mix of adoration and something deeper—something that made my heart race. He cupped my face in his hands, his thumb brushing over my cheek.
"You're breathtaking," he said softly. "I've been waiting for this moment all night."
I laughed nervously, my cheeks flushing. "It's just me, Eren."
"No," he corrected, his voice low and firm. "You're my wife now. And I don't think I've ever seen you more beautiful."
My breath caught as he leaned in, his lips capturing mine in a kiss that was slow and deliberate. It was the kind of kiss that made the world around us disappear.
He pulled back, resting his forehead against mine. "Let me take care of you tonight, Sarah."
I nodded, unable to speak.
---
Eren guided me to the bed, his fingers deftly working the buttons on the back of my dress. He moved slowly, reverently, as if unwrapping something precious. When the dress slipped from my shoulders, pooling at my feet, I felt vulnerable but safe under his gaze.
"You're perfect," he whispered, his hands tracing the curve of my waist.
He pulled me close, his lips finding the sensitive spot on my neck. I melted into him, my hands gripping his shirt as he kissed his way down my collarbone. When he stepped back to remove his jacket and unbutton his shirt, my pulse quickened. Eren was always handsome, but tonight, he was utterly captivating.
When he returned to me, his touch was more urgent, his kisses deeper. He lowered me onto the bed, his weight settling over me as his lips claimed mine again.
"Sarah," he murmured against my skin, his voice thick with emotion. "Do you know how long I've dreamed of this moment?"
I couldn't answer. I was lost in the way he touched me, his hands exploring, his lips never straying far from mine.
He kissed his way down my body, his movements slow and deliberate, as if savoring every inch of me. My breaths came faster, my fingers tangling in his hair as he worshipped me with every kiss, every touch.
"Eren," I breathed, my voice trembling.
"I've got you," he said, his voice steady and full of promise.
He moved between my legs, his touch both gentle and firm, igniting a fire in me I hadn't realized was there. My body arched toward him, a soft gasp escaping my lips.
"You're mine now, Sarah," he said, his voice low and possessive. "And I'm going to make sure you never forget it."
When he finally joined us together, the world seemed to stop. It was slow, intimate, every movement a silent declaration of love and commitment.
"You're everything to me," he whispered, his forehead pressed against mine.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not the unease I'd felt earlier, not Axel's cryptic words—just Eren and the promises we were making with every kiss, every touch, every breath.
As the night went on, we moved together like we were made for each other, our love solidifying in a way that felt unshakable.
When we finally collapsed into each other's arms, the weight of the day melted away. Eren held me close, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on my skin.
"I love you," he murmured, his lips brushing my forehead.
"I love you too," I whispered, my heart full.
For the first time that night, I felt completely at peace.

As I lay in the dark, Eren's steady breaths lulling me toward sleep, Axel's words crept back into my mind:
"Nothing stays the same forever."
