Algernon chuckled as he pulled back his hand and removed the mask he had worn throughout the encounter. His crimson hair glimmered faintly in the dim light of the cave.
"Fair enough. By the way, I'm Algernon Gremory," he said, his tone shifting to a joking one as he smirked, "but you can call me Lord Azeroth if you'd like. It has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"
Vali paused, then let out a rare, genuine smile—something between amusement and disbelief at Algernon's attempt to lighten the mood. "You're... something else," Vali said, shaking his head.
As Algernon reached into his pocket dimension to summon the Evil Piece that would officially make Vali a part of his peerage, a sudden flash of light erupted behind Vali. From the radiant glow, Divine Dividing materialized once more, the spectral wings of the Sacred Gear spreading wide.
A deep, rumbling voice echoed throughout the cave. "Fascinating… To think the one who defeated my host would wield such peculiar power. I would like to have a word with you, Algernon Gremory."
Both Algernon and Vali froze momentarily. Then Algernon raised a brow. "Albion," he muttered, recognizing the voice sealed within the Divine Dividing.
"I invite you to my domain," Albion continued, his voice regal and commanding. "Let us speak within the soul space of this Sacred Gear."
Algernon exchanged a brief glance with Vali, who simply shrugged, his expression unreadable. Without hesitation, Algernon allowed himself to relax, his consciousness drawn into the soul space of Divine Dividing.

When Algernon opened his eyes—or rather, when his awareness solidified—he found himself surrounded by a dazzling expanse of crystal-like lights.
The space shimmered and sparkled as though it were forged entirely of precious gems, their radiant hues reflecting an otherworldly beauty. It was a realm befitting a dragon.
At the center of the space stood an enormous white dragon, its majestic scales glinting with a brilliance that seemed almost divine. The dragon's eyes, sharp and piercing, fixed on Algernon with a mixture of curiosity and scrutiny.
"Albion Gwiber, the White Dragon Emperor," Algernon greeted, raising his head slightly, not showing slightest submission to his dragon aura but still respecting the legendary being before him.
Albion's lips curled upward, revealing rows of sharp teeth in what could only be described as a draconic smirk. "You know who I am. Yet, you are not awed. Interesting. Tell me, Algernon Gremory… no, Algernon Azeroth—what are you? I cannot see through you. Your potential is… clouded, as if hidden beyond the veil of this world."
Algernon's gaze remained steady, unflinching under Albion's penetrating stare. He had expected as much; a being of Albion's caliber would not be fooled easily. Still, he knew better than to try to spin lies. Such beings had a knack for discerning deception.
"What I am," Algernon began, his voice calm but carrying a weight that even Albion couldn't ignore, "is beyond the comprehension of this world. My potential is not bound by the limits of this realm—or any other, for that matter. I am destined for power that surpasses the Great Red, the Ouroboros Dragon, and even the gods themselves."
Albion's eyes narrowed slightly, the light within them flickering as if pondering the truth of Algernon's bold claim. "A lofty ambition," the dragon rumbled. "But ambition without strength is meaningless. You say you are destined for supremacy, yet what proof do you offer?"
Algernon smirked, stepping closer to the towering dragon. "Proof? I've already begun my path to conquering this world and all the others I will come across. My ambition is limitless, my resolve unshakable. And those who join me—whether they are devils, dragons, or something else entirely—will stand at the pinnacle alongside me, shaping a new era."
Albion tilted his massive head, regarding Algernon with a mix of interest and wariness. "You claim supremacy, yet your path will pit you against foes even I would hesitate to face. The Great Red roams the dimensional gap unchallenged. The Ouroboros Dragon transcends existence itself. Do you truly believe you can surpass them?"
"I don't believe," Algernon said firmly, his crimson eyes burning with an unrelenting determination. "I know. This world's limits are just stepping stones to something far greater. The Great Red and the Ouroboros Dragon are not my ceiling—they're simply benchmarks on the way to something even higher. And Albion… you know it too. You sense it. That's why you're curious."
Albion let out a low growl, though it was more contemplative than hostile. After a long silence, he spoke again. "Very well, Algernon Azeroth. You have intrigued me, and that is no small feat. I will observe your path closely. If you truly aim to rise beyond this world's constraints, then perhaps… you may be worth my host's allegiance."
Algernon inclined his head again, this time with a smirk. "Glad to have your attention, Albion. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to finish what I started with Vali."
The dragon rumbled in approval, its massive form beginning to fade into the radiant light. "Go then, conqueror. Show me if your resolve matches your words."
As Algernon's consciousness returned to the cave, he found Vali watching him, arms crossed, an intrigued look on his face. "What did Albion want?" Vali asked, his tone casual but curious.
"Nothing much," Algernon said with a sly grin, summoning the Evil Piece once more. "Just confirming what he already suspected"
Vali let out a faint chuckle. "Is that so? Then let's make it official, Lord Azeroth."
As the cave settled into silence, Algernon reached into his coat and withdrew four glowing, mutated Evil Pawn pieces.
Their unusual, pulsating radiance seemed to hum with an otherworldly energy, casting faint shadows against the rocky walls. Vali's sharp eyes narrowed at the sight, though his usual composure remained.
"Four mutated pieces?" Vali said, a hint of surprise in his voice. "I knew I was worth a lot, but this…" He smirked, though curiosity flickered in his eyes. "You're full of surprises, aren't you, Azeroth?"
Algernon chuckled softly, holding the pieces in his palm. "You haven't seen anything yet, Vali. Trust me, you'll be in for a much bigger surprise soon." His tone carried an edge of confidence, his crimson eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Vali raised an eyebrow but didn't argue. He stepped forward, allowing Algernon to press the pieces against his chest. The moment the Evil Pieces made contact, they glowed brighter, sinking into his body as if drawn by an invisible force.
The reaction was immediate. Vali's body erupted with a surge of blue-black lightning, the sheer intensity of it shaking the cave walls. The air grew heavy with power, crackling and hissing as energy danced wildly around him. His body lifted slightly off the ground, his white hair billowing as the transformation overtook him.
"What—" Vali's voice was cut off as his body convulsed. His aura began to shift, growing exponentially, blending his demonic and heavenly dragon blood in a way neither he nor Albion had anticipated. His two devil wings extended, crackling with blue-black energy, and then…
A third pair of wings unfurled, and all the wings changed to something else.

The transformation pushed Vali to his knees, his breathing heavy as the energy stabilized. His wings—now six in total—shimmered with a metallic sheen, their black edges tinged with the same lightning that surrounded him. His aura, once stable and controlled, now felt like an untamed storm, radiating both raw demonic might and the divine presence of a Heavenly Dragon.
Algernon stood back, watching the spectacle unfold with a satisfied smirk. "Well, I'd say that went better than expected," he remarked.
Vali slowly pushed himself to his feet, his blue eyes glowing faintly as he stared at his hands, which now sparked with blue-black lightning. "What… what just happened?" he muttered, his usual calm demeanor shaken.
Albion's voice rumbled from within the Sacred Gear, sounding just as astonished. "Vali… your very essence has changed. Your demonic blood—already pure from Lucifer's line—has now fully merged with the traces of my Heavenly Dragon blood that flow through you. This transformation is unlike anything I've seen in my long existence."
Vali flexed his wings experimentally, his gaze sharp as he examined his new form. "So… this is what it means to be part of your peerage?" he asked, glancing at Algernon with an almost incredulous expression. "You pushed me to high-class devil just by adding me to your ranks. This transformation—these wings—this power… it's on a different level."
Algernon's smirk widened. "Didn't I tell you, Vali? Joining my peerage is more than just a title—it's an evolution. I told you I'd take you beyond this world's limits. Consider this your first step on that path."
Then, Algernon's gaze flickered momentarily, his eyes narrowing as a notification from the System appeared before him, its presence undeniable. It hovered in the air, displaying a translucent screen in front of him.

Algernon's gaze turned toward Vali, who was still reveling in his newfound strength, his wings flexing and shifting with an almost predatory grace. With a small sigh, Algernon spoke up.
"we need to handle one more thing. Azazel will be here soon."
Vali's brow furrowed slightly. "Azazel? What does he want now?"
"Nothing too complicated," Algernon replied smoothly. "Azazel is the Governor of the Fallen Angels, but he's not my enemy. he's been researching Sacred Gears, and I'm sure your sacred gear will pique his interest. He'll want to research you as sacred gear holder."
Vali's lips twitched into a grin. "So, you want me to let him do his little experiments, then?"
"Exactly," Algernon said, nodding. "Let him look into your Sacred Gear. Don't make any hasty decisions. he can help you in your training as he is equal to super devil in strength."
Vali gave a slight nod of agreement. "Understood. I'll make sure he doesn't suspect anything."
With that, Algernon turned and walked toward the exit of the cave. His footsteps echoed in the quiet as he glanced back one last time at Vali.
"Remember, Vali," Algernon said, his voice carrying a weight of finality. "This is just the beginning. Azazel won't be a problem. In fact, he'll help us, in time. Just stay calm and play the part for now."
Vali gave him a confident look. "I'm not worried. Let him come."
Algernon smiled, a quiet but confident expression that spoke volumes. "Good. I'll see you soon."
With that, he left the cave without another word, blending into the shadows. He knew Azazel would arrive soon enough, and that Vali would handle the situation as expected. He had bigger things to focus on now—his peerage was growing, and there were still many more to recruit. But with Vali, the pieces were falling into place faster than he had anticipated.
