I had stayed in that blanket of mine for what had felt like an eternity. The hospital I had been sent to must have been solely for the gravely sick or injured as I had constantly heard the painful shrieks of those all around me.
It didn't take me all too long to be able to open my eyes and extend my gaze to the room around me. Although my vision was still slightly blurry I am still able to see the nurses enter and exit the room. They wore all white uniforms with some sort of writing in red near where the breast pocket would be located. They often carried what looked to be baby bottles full of milk.
'My previous conjecture about the location of this hospital seems to have been correct. The writing on the coat seemed Asian in origin. Damn. My hospital bills must be sky high. Would they even charge me if I'm not in the United States?'
As my mind had continued its everlasting state of constant subject shifting, coincidentally a piece of previously overlooked fact resurfaced.
'Why the hell were those nurses carrying baby bottles?!' Although it was a facet of this strange new mode of existence that I had yet to fully consider as of yet, it seemed vital to figuring out the truth of my situation.
Instead of waiting for the truth to nearly fall into my hands, I decided to result to strategy. The best way to bring the nurses back into this room would be to call them like the other patients. That is, to scream. As they say, "When in Athens, do as the Athenians do". Or something like that.
With the best inhale I could muster, I screamed. I screamed like all hell. Loud enough to drown out the screams of other patients within the room. Banshees would consider me one of their own.
Within what felt like a split second, countless nurses flooded into the room. Each looking like they were prepared to walk in on a murder, or worse, murder someone. I couldn't help but think, 'What's with these guys?'
When the nurses figured out that the location of the horrid noise came from my very own body, they began to swarm me. Not giving me a chance to think, each began some sort of test on me.
The swiftness of the nurses was incomprehensible. Far beyond anything that I had ever seen before. Some nurses turned me over and patted me on the back. Another group of nurses began inspecting me for an injury. One nurse even offered me a bottle of milk.
Finally seeming to have slowed down, a nurse that seemed to have been in-charge called for the others to move out of the way.
'Thank whomever above. I thought they would never end'
Before I could get too appreciative, however, the nurse did something that shook me to my very core. He put his hand up onto my head and from it radiated a green light.
'What the fu-'
As the green light grew closer to me, I felt a warm rush of energy course throughout my body. As if it was inspecting my very essence, my soul.
My mind raced. It looked for any clues to explain why this nurse's hand energy was entering my body. Small pieces of information spiraled within my brain trying to find an answer.
As it did, small memories began to fit together. The doctors with baby bottles, the other screaming patients, and the mystical hand magic.
'Where am I?'
