Trunks, still in shock, urgently replies to his mother, "Mom, this isn't just a meteor;
Bulma may have missed the possible repercussions since she was so thrilled about the possibilities of new gadgets and technology that she used extraterrestrial technology.
She responded with starry eyes, exclaiming, "Oh wow, that's amazing!" What are you waiting for, trunks? "Use the capsule on it and bring it over here." "I can't wait to see all the new inventions I could make by learning from alien technology." Suddenly, she realized what her son might have been thinking as her joy turned into fear.
Bulma: Do you believe that we may have overlooked something or someone on board? I am beginning to worry.
Trunks breaks his silence, expressing his concerns. He's troubled by his inability to sense anything, which has left him with numerous unanswered questions. He questions whether anything dangerous could have escaped the ship and if it could pose a future threat. Trunks has been actively searching for stronger energy sources in the vicinity, but thus far, his efforts have been fruitless. He also ponders whether whatever it is has learned how to conceal its energy.
Trunks expressed his frustration by saying, "I should have arrived earlier." "I don't even know where to begin searching for whatever it may be."
Bulma says, seeing her son in distress, "Trunks, there's no need to be too harsh on yourself. I trust that if something were to appear and cause a problem, you would be more than enough to deal with it."
Trunks: I hope you're right. I'll use the capsule and head back over. We'll gather as much information as possible to ensure the earth's safety.
Trunks hurled the capsule towards the ship as it opened up, scanning the vessel, before a thick cloud of smoke emerged, leaving only the capsule on the ground. He collects the capsule and flies back to Capsule Corp as he thinks to himself.
Trunks: Maybe Mom is right; maybe I am being a bit too hard on myself. I just couldn't forgive myself if, after fighting so hard for my future, something were to take that away.
The father then speaks and says, "My son, I deeply regret that we haven't been completely truthful with you regarding your illness."
The mother, with a tissue in hand, struggles to contain her tears. She realizes that she and her husband can no longer keep the truth from their child.
The father, with a heavy feeling in his chest, says, "Your illness has gotten to the point where it's incurable. I'm sorry, my son." "We were too late to take you to a proper doctor, and it's all those damn cyborgs' fault," he says with anger and frustration in his voice. When the doctors told us you were ill, they wanted to do everything to keep you well, but when the cyborgs came along, they destroyed everything. There was no hospital or doctor to find.
The son responds with a faint voice and says, "It's okay." Dad, honestly, it's okay. I kind of felt it as the days went by. I felt like my body was getting weaker, and you guys did everything you could with the herbs and natural medicine you gave me. Please don't cry.
The father rests his hands on his son's black hair and says to himself, "To think I'd lose such a good child like this, this life is truly cruel."
The daughter pulls on her mother and says, "What's going to happen to my brother, Mommy?" Are we going to be able to play outside again?
A heartbroken mother says, "I don't know, sweetie." I don't know...
The father then gets up, trying to keep stoic in this situation, and says, "Alright everyone, let's let him get some rest for now. I'm going to walk outside for a bit to try to find some more herbs we could use as medicine."
The family walks out of the room. The mother picks up her daughter and carries her to her room to get ready for bed.
Before the father and son walk out, the son calls out to him and says, "Dad."
The father looks back at his son, seeing that he has something that he wants to tell him. He walks over to his bedside and says, "What is it, my boy?" Do you need anything else right now?
The son then says to the father, "I remember you telling me when you were a kid that you used to travel, go see places, and explore the world. You even shared some stories with us."
The father, thinking he may know what his son wants, says, "Ah, would you like me to tell you another...
The son then interrupts and says, "No, I…I wanted to ask you something. Would you allow me to explore the world if I ever recovered from this illness?"
The father looks a bit shocked at what his son asks of him and says, "Well, I…"
Seeing the state his son is in, he wouldn't want to say anything that would hurt or affect his son negatively, so with a bit of hesitation, he says, "Of course, son, but we'd have to talk about a few things, but sure, if that's something you desire, I see no reason to not let you."
The son smiles before he passes out from exhaustion and says, "Thank you."
The father leaves the room, heading outside to sit down on the porch, and says to himself, "If only I were still a fighter, then maybe I could have stopped those monsters." "I'm not one to usually believe in miracles, but please, if there is a God out there, anyone, if there is some way to heal my son, just do it,
