Chapter 18 - Kenji vs Olorun part 2

Olorun raised his hands, lightning surging from his fingertips. "Lightning Bolts!" he yelled, unleashing a barrage of crackling bolts that streaked toward Kenji. Each one struck with precision, jolting Kenji's body and forcing him to grit his teeth in pain.

Without giving Kenji a chance to recover, Olorun dashed forward at blinding speed, landing a brutal sucker punch to Kenji's gut. The force sent Kenji stumbling back, and before he could react, Olorun followed up with a powerful uppercut to the jaw, sending Kenji crashing to the ground.

Olorun crossed his arms, smirking down at him. "You're weak, Mr. Blue Hair."

Kenji wiped blood from the corner of his mouth as he slowly got to his feet. "And you're annoying, Long Hair."

Olorun's eyes narrowed, and he flicked one of his locks with mock pride. "They're called dreads, fool. And they look hot on me."

Kenji rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He adjusted his grip on his sword, closing his eyes briefly.

Olorun frowned, confused. "What the hell are you doing now?"

Kenji's lips curled into a smirk. "I probably should've used this earlier, but I guess now's a good time to show you."

Olorun's confusion turned to alarm. "What the hell are you talking about—"

Kenji's eyes shot open, a fierce determination burning within them as he roared, "MARUCHI-SURASSHU!"

In an instant, Kenji became a whirlwind of motion, his blade moving faster than the eye could follow. He unleashed a relentless flurry of slashes, each strike creating golden afterimages that filled the air with blinding light. The sheer speed of his attacks was overwhelming, and Olorun found himself unable to keep up.

"What the—?!" Olorun shouted, raising his arms to block. Sparks flew as Kenji's strikes collided with his defenses, the force of each blow sending shockwaves across the stone bridge.

Kenji's voice echoed through the chaos. "Let's see how hot those dreads look after this!"

Olorun growled, electricity surging around his body as he tried to counter, but Kenji's speed was too much. Each slash found its mark, leaving glowing streaks of energy across Olorun's arms and torso.

Finally, Kenji leaped back, his blade gleaming as he landed in a crouch. Olorun staggered, panting heavily, his body crackling with residual energy from both the lightning and Kenji's relentless onslaught.

Kenji pointed his sword at Olorun, smirking. "Still think I'm weak?"

Olorun straightened, wiping a trickle of blood from his lip. His smirk returned, though his breaths were labored. "Not bad, Mr. Blue Hair. Not bad at all. But we're just getting started."

Olorun took a step toward Kenji, but suddenly, his body froze, a sharp, searing pain erupting all over him. He winced, clutching his arms as he felt the sting of countless slashes. His knees buckled, and he collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.

"W-what the hell?" Olorun stammered, his voice trembling. "Agh... your slashes... they're still hurting me?!"

Kenji stood tall, resting his blade on his shoulder as he smirked down at his opponent. "Yes," he said, his tone calm but with a hint of pride. "That move wasn't just for show. It's an extremely powerful technique. My Maruchi-Surasshu leaves behind residual energy in every slash, causing continuous damage long after the initial strike."

Olorun gritted his teeth, trying to fight through the pain, but every movement sent another wave of agony through his body. "You... bastard..."

Kenji shook his head. "Don't bother trying to fight it. The more you move, the worse it gets. And trust me, the more I train, the stronger this technique becomes."

Olorun's eyes flickered with both anger and grudging respect as he looked up at Kenji. "Damn it... I underestimated you..."

Kenji smirked, lowering his blade. "Next time, don't be so quick to call me weak." Olorun staggered to his feet, blood dripping from his mouth, but his determination unshaken. "I ain't going down yet," he growled, wiping the blood with the back of his hand. Summoning his strength, he created two crackling lightning whips in each hand.

Kenji narrowed his eyes, frustration flickering across his face. "You've got to be kidding me."

With a savage grin, Olorun lashed out with the lightning whips, the first strike hitting Kenji squarely. Electricity surged through Kenji's body, his muscles convulsing as pain wracked him. Olorun pressed the attack, lashing repeatedly, his movements swift and unrelenting.

Kenji clenched his teeth, enduring the assault. As Olorun swung again, Kenji began to anticipate the rhythm, his body moving just enough to dodge each strike. By the time Olorun stopped to catch his breath, Kenji stood steady, breathing hard but still standing.

Olorun chuckled, a mix of exhaustion and admiration in his voice. "I'm impressed."

Kenji wiped a trickle of blood from his lip, smirking despite the pain. "Same for you. But let's end this."

Olorun nodded, a fierce grin spreading across his face. "Agreed."

Lightning surged down Olorun's left arm, coalescing into a deadly charge. He raised it, aiming directly at Kenji. Kenji tightened his grip on his sword, crossing it over his chest in a defensive stance.

The tension was electric, the air thick with the anticipation of their final clash.

"Lightning—" Olorun began, his voice booming as he charged forward.

"Ken—" Kenji roared, his sword glowing with energy as he prepared his strike.

With blinding speed, Kenji launched himself forward, a burst of energy propelling him toward Olorun like a comet. The distance between them vanished in an instant, Kenji's form a blur of motion.

"Surasshu!" Kenji shouted, his blade cutting through the air in a brilliant arc.

"Strike!" Olorun bellowed, unleashing his lightning in a devastating wave.

The two attacks collided mid-air, the clash creating a shockwave that sent debris flying in all directions. The stone bridge trembled beneath the sheer force, cracks spreading outward as energy pulsed and roared.

When the light faded, Olorun collapsed to his knees, his energy spent. "Damn... you're fast," he muttered, his body trembling as he fell forward, unconscious.

Kenji, standing for a moment longer, let out a pained breath before his legs buckled. His sword clattered to the ground as he collapsed onto his back, his body drained of strength.

Both fighters lay motionless
