Sensing the confidence in Hwayeong’s stride, Sohwa asked nervously.
“Are you sure this is the right direction?”
“Yes. Seonhwa headed this way when we arrived.”
“But you don’t know the exact location of her quarters. Wouldn’t it be better to check tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow? I’ll be busy the whole day.”
“What?”
“The first task has been assigned. To familiarize us with the palace grounds, tomorrow we’re supposed to go around the various pavilions, pick flowers, and arrange them in a display. But I’ve never done flower arranging in my life. They should have just assigned needlework instead.”
‘If that were the case, at least I could stay in my room and avoid going out,’
Hwayeong sighed, and Sohwa looked at her with a puzzled expression.
“But... do you know how to sew? I’ve never seen you do any sewing before.”
Sohwa said, causing Hwayeong to abruptly stop in her tracks. She then turned to Sohwa and asked in return,
“Isn’t it just about poking the needle here and there?”
