Exhausted from a day without food and shouting my lungs out, I collapsed onto the sofa.
Talking to him was like talking to a brick wall.
While I was fuming, Haejun brought me a glass of fruit juice.
My throat was raw from all the shouting, dry and itchy.
I gulped down the juice, feeling embarrassed as it hit my empty stomach, making it grumble.
‘I’m really pathetic...’
As if going into heat and panting in front of him wasn’t bad enough, now I was showing him all kinds of embarrassing sides of myself.
“You seem really hungry. How about we eat first? I’m not sure if we can get dinner delivered at this hour, but I know some places that serve late-night snacks...”
I don’t like typical late-night snack foods like fried chicken.
I was about to say we shouldn’t bother when Haejun got up first.
“Or... how about we go out and grab something to eat? There’s a good sushi place nearby.”
Sushi was one of my favorite dishes.
