Part One
As we stepped on the markings on the ground, we were teleported to the next floor.
"Alright Grande, what's on this floor?" I asked.
"Hielwolves and ice elementals but there's also traps along the whole second floor."
We continued through the second floor with Grande navigating us through the dungeon, avoiding the traps.
"Here come the Hielwolves," I shouted.
The Hielwolves began approaching. I created a rapier from ice and took aim at them. The doll took a step back.
"There's too many of 'em, I can't go in like usual," he said as he pulled back his fist.
When he released his punch in the air nothing happened at first. Then a sudden shockwave rippled through the air and connected with the Hielwolves dealing some damage.
"Woah, I didn't know you could do a long-range attack." I said as I began refining a rock drill.
The doll continued to release the shockwaves at the Hielwolves. I finally released my rock drill into the pack of Hielwolves.
"Rock Drill," I shouted and the drill pierced the body of a single Hielwolf, defeating it.
"I can't keep charging them up for that long. It's either I go in or I fire off lots of drills." I thought as I contemplated what to do.
"Watch out!" Grande shouted as she kicked away a Hielwolf that was about to bite me.
"You can't zone out in the middle of battle." Agatha said.
I gripped my rapier tightly and decided when we weeded down the numbers, I would go in with my rapier. I took aim at the Hielwolves and fired off rock drills quickly.
In the meantime, Snowe had been piercing the wolves with his ice spikes. Agatha was turning her water into spears and sending them at the wolves.
Grande was summoning tiny ghosts to attach to the wolves.
"Step back," shouted Grande and I jumped back.
She snapped her fingers and an explosion of Soulforge energy damaged the wolves.
The number of wolves finally lowered to where I could jump in.
I went up close and sliced the Hielwolves. They fought back by firing ice shards at me which I blocked. One managed to slip past my rapier and grazed my arm.
"Be patient," Agatha said.
I jumped back and continued to fire off rock drills.
"Am I lagging behind the two of them?" I thought as I began examining both Agatha and Grande for wounds.
"They both have cuts, I'm not the only one messing up," I thought as I took a deep breath.
I continued to fire rock drills.
"You can now go in," Agatha said as the numbers dwindled.
I joined Agatha in close combat with the wolves.
"Take that!" I shouted as I sliced the head off the final wolf.
"We'll now advance further into the floor," Agatha said while walking forward.
Part Two
As we walked deeper into the dungeon we talked.
"So what's your doll's ability now," I asked Grande.
Grande replied, "Double impact. When my doll punches someone it releases some Soulforge energy onto them. He can say "impact" and the punch will be felt again thanks to the energy he imparted on them."
"That's an amazing ability." I said.
"Alright, ice elementals are coming up." Agatha interrupted with.
The fight with the ice elementals didn't last very long. There were only four of them but they were very powerful. Their weakness was that they were extremely fragile. A total glass cannon build from an rpg game.
After defeating all of the creatures on the second floor, we walked to the markings on the ground.
"We'll be taking a break right here. I can heal any of the wounds you've both sustained up to this point." Agatha said.
She called out, "Healing Ring," and a ring of water went around our injuries and healed them.
We set up camp and began to go to sleep. As I slept, I dreamed about my past life and memories flooded my mind. By the time it was day I couldn't move and…
"So you chose to go against me again, huh. You don't trust the Great Spirit? I hope you enjoy the consequences " I heard.
"It's not my choice, I tried to stop them but they didn't listen." I pleaded.
"The dungeon has been just fine up to this point."
"We'll see about that," and everything returned to normal.
Agatha woke me up and we started to eat.
"Hey, if ya look at the two maps it looks like we're moving towards the town. Like by the time we're done with floor three we'll be passing the train station and to the left of the inn." Grande said.
"Hm, a dungeon under a town, that's weird." I said.
Agatha announced, "It's time to advance to the third floor."
We stepped on the markings and were brought to the third floor.
As we walked, Grande explained that this floor was the second to last one we have information about and that there are four Minotaurs with axes.
We decided each person would take on their own Minotaur, with Snowe and the doll taking on one together.
When we encountered the Minotaurs, we began to go to work.
"Luther, you take the left one. I'll take the one to the right of that. Agatha, you take the one on the right. Snowe and the doll, you two take the last one." Agatha shouted.
I created a sword and rushed towards the Minotaur.
Slash. Dodge. Slash. Dodge. Slash.
I couldn't break through the Minotaur's defense. The Minotaur swung its axe and I dodged the attack and began to climb on its arm. I jumped off him and sent spikes.
Boom!
The Minotaur slammed me into the dungeon wall.
"Ouch!" I shouted.
"Focus, Luther." Agatha shouted.
"How do I take this thing on?" I asked myself.
I aimed my sword at the Minotaur and called out, "Rock drill."
"Release," and the rock drill was easily split by Minotaur.
I then called out, "Ice spikes!".
The spikes pierced the left hand of the Minotaur but were then broken by a swing of the axe.
With the Minotaur distracted, I threw my sword up in the air. I created a pole and launched myself into the air and grabbed my sword.
I took aim at the Minotaur and launched a rock drill from above, destroying one of its horns and hitting it in the head. I threw my sword at him and he broke it easily. The Minotaur opened its mouth and released its icy breath.
"Ahh!" I shouted as I clutched my left arm which was frozen.
I jumped back and tried to assess the situation.
"Frost breath and an axe. I can't let it hit me with its breath again." I thought.
I created two daggers and began to run towards the Minotaur.
Dodging each one of the Minotaurs attacks, I managed to jump onto its shoulder and slide down its back, dragging my daggers down as I slid.
I dug my daggers in and twisted them.
"Gahhh!" The Minotaur shouted.
I pulled my daggers out and dropped down to its legs and cut its left Achilles.
It shrieked as it dropped to one knee.
"I've got it right where I want it." I thought.
I jumped up and stabbed the daggers into the Minotaur's back. As it reached back to pull them out, I climbed up and jumped off its head. I extended my hand to charge up a point blank rock drill.
"Bingo!" I shouted as I released the rock drill which mutilated the face of the Minotaur, leaving it blind.
"Ice spikes!" I shouted and the spikes impaled the Minotaur.
"One down!"
I turned to see how everyone else was doing. Agatha defeated her Minotaur and began helping out the doll and Snowe. Grande was just about to defeat the Minotaur.
Grande shouted, "All done over here!"
"Last one down," Agatha said.
The Minotaurs were all defeated and on the ground.
"We're off to the next floor," Agatha said.
As we continued through the third floor, I noticed another source of energy.
"That's not all for this floor." I said as we approached the energy I sensed.
There it was, a frost giant.
"I thought we were done, Agatha," said Grande.
"I thought we were too," Agatha replied.
Snowe launched a large ice shard which broke upon impact with the giant.
"This giant is strong," Agatha said.
Agatha shouted, "Life waters, flood the world once again," and the dungeon began to flood.
"Snowe!" She shouted and he froze the water.
The giant struggled trying to pull its foot out of the ice but it wouldn't budge.
Grande summoned a large ghost to hug the giant and explode. The explosion took out the right eye of the giant.
"Ow, that hurt," the giant said.
Its words shook the entire dungeon and we covered our ears. It raised its fist and slammed it into the ice, shattering it.
"We'll need a massive attack to take him out," Agatha said.
Agatha decided to jump in with her ice sword. She ran along the arm of the giant, cutting and dragging her blade into his flesh. She then jumped onto his head and stabbed his left eye out.
"T-t-that h-h-hurts!" He shouted.
He swatted his head but Agatha had moved onto his knees, cutting them open causing him to fall
"Luther!" Agatha shouted.
I then created a massive boulder above the head of the giant. I flicked my finger down and it dropped on the giant, pinning his head to the ground.
Agatha then used a technique I hadn't seen her use yet. She gathered water at the end of her sword in order to extend her range . She then swung the sword but as it reached the neck of the giant it was frozen and sliced it cleanly.
That giant would've been trouble for any regular group. The special thing about our group is the agility of Agatha and I. Our ability to maneuver quickly allows us to have a massive advantage over larger opponents.
We moved deeper into the dungeon and reached the markings on the ground again.
"The fourth floor…" I thought as I stared at the ground.
"We are going to rest here for now. The next floor is the last one we have information on. We will be fighting a wyvern."
Part Three
After eating and getting some rest, we stepped on the runes.
"I want to take a moment to thank you two. Even in your youth you have both been amazing to work with," Agatha turned to say.
"Well this isn't much like ya, is it?" Grande replied.
"What's happening, are you sick?" I asked.
She turned away and ignored us.
We then entered a large and open part of the dungeon. Above sat the wyvern. It released a screeching scream our way. As it screamed, ice shards shot towards us.
We dodged out of the way and I created a large rock drill. I then split it into many little pieces and Grande attached tiny ghosts to each piece.
I moved my hand forward and shot the mini rock drills at the wyvern. It managed to dodge some but many still landed on it. Grande snapped her finger and the ghosts exploded and the wyvern screamed in agony.
It began to fly down towards us. It weaved through the spikes Snowe and I sent. I tried to move out of the way but it managed to directly hit me and I was put onto its head.
"Ahh!" I shouted.
The wyvern began releasing its ice breath, freezing everything it came in contact with. I created a rock drill and jumped off the wyvern. I fired it off and the wyvern began to fly unsteady. I created a sword and slid it down the wall in order to catch myself.
As I dropped to the ground the wyvern spit ice shards at me and hit my right arm. I grabbed my arm and jumped back.
"I can't fully heal it right now but I'll freeze it over." Agatha said as Snowe froze over my wounds.
Agatha made a water spear and took aim at the wyvern. She launched it and Snowe froze it. It pierced the left wing of the wyvern and it began to fly erratically.
"Grande!" Agatha shouted.
Grande sent tiny ghosts to attach onto the wyvern. She snapped her finger and detonated them.
The wyvern screeched as it lost vision in its left eye. It then released its ice breath with more force this time. With its vision impaired, it shot its breath all around the dungeon.
"Get down!" Agatha called out.
We dodged the wyvern breath running along the ground and jumping off walls. With another rock drill the wyvern was defeated. As its body fell to the ground, it began to glow and pulse.
"We need to get away," I shouted.
We turned our backs and ran away. We were too late.
Boom…
I woke up to rubble everywhere.
"Agatha…Grande," I shouted as I went around looking for them amongst the destruction.
"The wyvern released all of its soulforge energy as a last ditch effort."
I heard a muffled reply to my calls.
"Agatha and Grande, where are you?"
I saw a hand reach out from under a pile of rubble. I ran over and dug them up from the rubble.
"Come on get up. You have to get up," I said.
It was Grande. She was barely conscious. I dug her out and laid her on the ground.
Snowe went to search for Agatha. He stopped at a pile eventually and signaled for me to come.
There was no sign of movement from underneath.
"Agatha?" I asked.
I dug frantically through the rubble.
"Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay."
Right before the explosion went off Agatha moved to protect both Grande and I.
I pulled the final piece to see an unconscious Agatha. She was lying in a pool of blood with blood leaving her abdomen. She slightly opened her eyes.
She managed to mumble, "Life waters…restore me with the fountain's power."
Her blood began to mix with some of her water and reentered her body. Grande sat up.
I fell to the ground.
"If this is floor four, I can't imagine what floor five could hold," I thought.
As Agatha was going in and out of consciousness, I walked over to Grande.
"Is she gonna be okay?" Grande asked.
She began to cry and sniffle while looking at me.
"She'll be fine. We probably will have to stay on this floor for a couple days for each of us to recover."
So we stayed there on the fourth floor for five days. In that time Grande and Agatha recovered. They weren't completely healed but were healed enough to continue the dungeon. Their injuries would be treated after the dungeon.
