Time passed, and Kael, Vincent and Daniel went their separate ways ; starting reforms within the exorcist organization, striving to achieve the goal that the couple had envisioned. Each holding their respective opinion of the goal.
35 years have passed since that fateful day, and a mischievous student has broken into a sealed room of her school. The smell of decay, no longer as pungent. But definitely something that would make your toes curl.
"Ugh," the young girl mutters, moving her hand to hold her nose, her red hair in a messy ponytail. Making her way into the room, closing the door till there is just a crack left open.
The room she entered, the sealed room of the school. So dustless and clean, Despite being sealed for longer than the school has been around. Her footsteps creak against the old wood boards, as she makes her way to the bedside table, a letter catching her eye..
"A letter?" She notices a sealed letter and picks it up, her thumb grazing over the wax seal. "I wonder who this is for?"
She turns it over and elegant handwriting with three names is written, "Kael, Vincent and Daniel?" She gasps as she recognises a name. "The Vice Headmaster, Headmaster and my Teacher?"
She looks over at the bed, at the skeletons on it, she isn't surprised. There were two, due to one of her classes she recognizes that one is human, and the other is some sort of demon kin.
"Huh," a smirk lines her features as she leaves the room, the letter in hand. After making sure the door is closed behind her, she sprints towards her mentor who is halfway across the castle, in his office. As she runs she forgets to come up with a plausible excuse, a reason she was in the sealed room.
She huffs, out of breath as she reaches Daniel's office. knocking on the door she calls out for her strict mentor "Teacher?" She knocks again. She waits a few seconds before pounding on the door and yelling "Teacher Daniel!?"
She huffs and yells again "TEACHER DANI- ack!" The door opens, smacking her in the face.
"You don't need to yell, I heard you the first time." He grumbles, letting go of the door, walking to the only desk in the room, piles of papers towered on it. "Sit, what trouble did you get into this time?"
"Technically, It's not trouble" she says, leisurely walking over to the couch, placing the letter on the table in front of her, causing Daniel's eyebrow to quirk up in irritation.
"You're 'Technically' is always ending badly for the people around you," he pauses, "what is this?" He sits down across from her. "Aria, what did you do?" He sighs like a father about to scold his daughter.
"This." She pushes the letter towards him. His expression shifts from irritation to shock. Taking it, he adjusts His glasses, recognizing the handwriting he glared at Aria.
"Where did you find this?" he asks, his eyebrows furrowing into a worried expression. He grips The letter at the corner, the letter creasing slightly. "I know for certain that you did not find this in the library or your dorm."
"Well you know…. Just around." She shrugs, brushing it off as if the letter wasn't of importance. Daniel slammed his fist into the table, causing her to flinch as she's only seen him angry once before, and she does not wish to be on the other end of Daniel's anger.
"Tell me the truth" He lifts his fist from the table, coughing, concern lining his voice.
"I," she pauses "W-well," she stuttered. trying to quickly come up with a lie that could satisfy him.
"Fine, I won't press you for an answer. For now." He stands up sighing, giving up on finding the answer at that moment. Daniel motions for her to follow him. He walks towards a bookshelf and he feels around the underside of a knee level shelf for something.
A clicking sound is heard, then a loud thud. He stood up and pushed the book shelf inwards and a passageway was revealed.
"What? Never seen a secret passage before?" Daniel smirks, a youthful playfulness coloring his features, a vast contrast to his previous demeanor.
"No, I just.. never expected one in our school, especially in your office." She admits, following closely behind, he leads them through various twists and turns, stopping at a fork in the passage.
"This castle wasn't always a school. It used to be a mansion. Although decrypted when I first visited, the castle was a mansion built for two lovers." He muses walking over to a mural and begins feeling the stone wall for a button or switch hidden within the countless pebbles among the mural.
"Lovers?" Aria asked quizzically, in an attempt to remember the history class that she had briefly had in first year
"Yes, You know how our school was built to foster friendships among other races?"
"Well, yea? Of course I do?" She scoffed, Taking what he's said as something obvious. "I've even gotten close to a Eriple recently, Apparently she has a mix of fairy blood in her, even though she's a pixie"
Daniel Sighs, "well once upon a time, humans thought they were above all, and that any race other than them was evil so we killed them."
"What?" She shouts, as if she'd never heard of this before.
"Did you not pay attention in your history class? The racial war was the first thing you are taught. " disappointment evident in his voice, he finds what he was feeling for and presses it.
Aria wants to deny his words, and make an excuse but is taken off guard as four portals appear behind her where the fork in the road once was.
Daniel walks over and enters the leftmost one, immediately disappearing into the portal. Aria is apprehensive and does not enter immediately after.
Gathering her courage she enters the same one, or at least she atempts to and is now pushing against the portal trying to get in, and follow her teacher.
"Opeeeennnnn" she pushes.
Laughter resounded in the passageway, and she stopped pushing on the portal.
"That's not how you do it." A smiling woman comes out of a portal on the right, followed closely by Kael, Vincent and Daniel.
The woman has horns like that of a ram or sheep. She's a demon. She walks over and knocks a rhythm on the portal, pushing Aria through it.
"Let's go." The horned woman says bluntly, to the trio of men. Entering the same portal she pushes Aria in.
Exiting the portal, a great hall welcomes them, a long table with several chairs. A few of them had figures sitting in them, some with guards beside them, others without.
"About time you made it." A voice rasps out with irritation. "Whats with the extra baggage?" she points to Aria.
"An apprentice under my tutelage" Daniel chimes in.
"An apprentice? You?" She scoffs,
"Would you like a rematch of our duel 30 years ago? This time i won't miss," Vincent steps up. motioning for their group to take their seats.
She clicks her tongue, touching the scar on her neck
