After handing the sword over to Vulcan, Kain decides: Since it's not too late and he still has the energy, he might as well check out what else is around.
He knows there's a bakery and a guild somewhere, so today was as good as any to go looking around. After what happened earlier, he wasn't going back to the dungeon today.
Kain strides purposefully along the dirt paths, his gaze fixed on anything that deviates from the norm. He searches for at least 20 minutes before spotting a large wooden structure, at least three storeys high. He makes his way towards it and discovers a sign hanging outside that reads 'Adventures Guild'.
"Hmm well at least this place doesn't look too bad"
Kain entered the establishment and observed a considerable number of individuals in attendance. It was notable that at least half of them were armed with some form of weapon. However, only a small proportion, approximately five or six individuals out of 30 to 40, were equipped with any form of protective gear. The quality of this gear was also questionable, as it appeared to be merely metal straps secured around the abdomen.
Kain observes the presence of a tavern and a reception area, where individuals are assembled in a queue. At these locations, large boards bearing attached papers can be found.
"This is exactly how I pictured a guild hall to be! It smells a little worse, but still, this is awesome!
Kain walks around, taking everything in. It's as if he's exploring a whole new world! And the best part is, no one seems to be bothered. It's like normal behaviour to them!
Kain then moves to wait in line, when it's his turn.
The receptionist is a male in his 20s and exhibits a high level of personal hygiene. He is neatly attired and clean-shaven, and does not have an unpleasant odor. Otherwise, he has fair hair, green eyes, and an average face.
"Hey, I got a few questions."
"Sure go ahead it is my job to help people with what they need."
"First do you take monster parts here?"
"Yes we take a small percentage but you never have to worry about getting ripped off."
"What is the requirement to register with the guild,"
"You have to be level 10 to be a ranked guild member or we can sign you up as an unranked guild member where most of the quest that you can accept are cleaning or errands."
"What if I want to go to the other part of the city."
"You can register at level 10 when you get your class and if its good enough you can transfer to the other guild, for living access you will have to go back to where you got your id and they will decide."
"Another question do you have a library,"
"Most of the people here don't even know how to so there is no need."
"Can you tell me about the market value of common things,"
"well to start the currency the kingdom uses is copper silver Gold, 100 copper is 1 silver and 100 silver is 1 gold, now the price of the item varies depending on the maker and materials of course but for example here at the tavern, you can get bread that's 3 copper for one loaf. cores can be sold for varying amounts.."
"What about goblin cores."
"Well, a level 2 -4 is worth 1 copper and level 5-9 is worth 2 copper and level 10 is with 10 copper."
"so they are not worth much of anything."
"Best bet is to tough it out until you get to Kobalt dungeon and then you can start collecting more, The kobalt weapons can be sold as well as their blood and cores . Goblins only core I hear there are some people that collect the scrape weapons but you won't get any money for them so don't bother."
"Thank you mister."
"Names Greg"
"Kain"
"Well, good talking to you, if you have any other questions or looking to sell or buy something just let me know."
Kain then strolled out and back to the workshop. It was already getting dark.
Kain strides into the workshop, taking in the sounds of hammering. He makes his way to the closet and reflects on what he has learned. He is aware that he still has much to learn about this world. He decides that if he gets a good class the he can go to one of those schools. That is the best way for him to learn more.
Kain starts to fall asleep thinking about the future.
He wakes up and strides out of the closet, his ears filled with the rhythmic sounds of hammering.
"System what's the daily for today."

"oh, you want me to die huh."
Kain goes into the forge without knocking and takes what he needs from the sack in the corner. He then leaves, confident that Vulcan is too busy to notice.
Kain eats the bread and makes his way back to the dungeon
He strode purposefully into the dungeon and began searching for a goblin. As always, he found his quarry quickly.
The goblin wielded a wooden club like the first one he ever killed.
Kain advances towards the goblin, maintaining a safe distance until it becomes aware of his presence. The goblin takes to the 20 feet mark to notice Kain and then begins to charge at him.
Kain stands still and waits for it to get close to him. Then he swings down right onto the goblins head, smashing its head and hitting it repeatedly until it is dead.

Kain stops and takes the goblin core.
Kain looks at the corpse and it shows a window now.
