Zoë heard Sophie's footsteps leaving the front of her door step, she released the breath she didn't know she was holding before going to bath then slept off not leaving her room the entire afternoon.
At night Zoë came out already dressed in her night wear ready for bed, she only came out to refill her jug of water to meet Sophie staring at the tv screen lostly.
"If you are not watching you can put off the tv" Zoë voice came from behind making Sophie turn, she smiled faintly"I knew you had come out... don't you think you should tell me about yourself so I won't cross the line". Zoë stared at her for a while and shook her head then saw the plate of food on the table "Seems like you've eaten already"Zoë said ignoring her question.
"You didn't answer my question...you never do"Sophie said weakly as lots of emotion clouding her eyes. "Just stop it now let it all end here I don't have lot of patience and I'm not a person to hold grudges I don't just give second chance"Zoë said not hiding any discomfort in her tone, she had grown to like Sophie alot with just the few hours they have spent together but she isn't the type to like to share her pain and burdens she prefers carrying it alone like it had always been.
"Since I met you have always wished to have you as the sister I never had" Sophie started
"Oh please we just met today and I have not even done a good job handling myself... goodnight" Zoë dismissed then refilled the jug and went to her room shutting the door not giving Sophie a second glance.

Zoë and Sophie came back from church on Sunday without talking to each other. They arrived by noon and Zoë went straight to her room while Sophie went to the kitchen to prepare noodles. She came out with two bowls of noodles placing them on the small dining table before proceeding to Zoë's door to knock as her hand stopped midway when the door opened before she could knock.
"Can I help you" Zoë asked not wanting to waste time crossing her hand round her chest.
"Yes I made lunch let's eat" Sophie said with a polite smile on.
"I'm sorry but I'm still filled" Zoë declined.
"Come on I'm sure you are joking...this is your third day here and I haven't seen you eat anything apart from taking water, sometimes I sneak up on you when you cook but you don't taste them at all" Sophie became persistent and Zoë reluctantly followed, Sophie couldn't help but gist her about things she should expect tommorow that she didn't notice that Zoë only took a tiny bite of her food.

"Why aren't you eating" Sophie asked and Zoë looked up to meet her gaze. "I told you I was fill but you forced me the meal was great" Zoë managed to smile but it didn't reach her eyes.
"Excuse me" Zoë stood up and walked to her room immediately Zoë left Sophie got a call from the number saved as BBro, she picked it and also left for her room. In Zoë's room, she made her way to the bathroom and threw up what she ate with blood into the sink holding her aching abdomen as beads of sweat rolled down her face to the ground and her little groans could be heard she tried her best concealing to the pain but it hurts alot.
She managed to peel herself off her clothes and turn on the shower before going under it with her eyes shut tightly and her teeth clenched together.
She was like that for like an hour before the pain subside a bit seeing she was able to work she went to her cupboard taking four caps of the liquid painkillers.
She just wore the bathroom robe and lay on the bed drifting to sleep, Sophie walked into her room at that moment to see her asleep "weird" she muttered before walking out of the room shutting the door behind her. The ringing of alarm by the bedside woke Zoë up from her sleep, you can say her nightmares did cause she only lay there waiting the alarm to ring so she could start her days work. Monday is finally here she would now be a bona fide student of Floreg college, she stripped herself off the sweaty clothes then wash them alongside the one she wore when she vomitted.
It had always been one of the habit she cultivated three years ago to wash clothes immediately she puts them off which had helped her a lot.
There was wide contrast of her three years ago and now before she was the spoilt young miss of the Hatt family that can't as much as wear her carry her own bag herself but ever since she chose her freedom she had learnt how to adjust greatly not minding the insults, curses and fights that she undoubtedly returned after letting them slide the first time. "I'm such an kind-hearted person forgiving only once" she praised herself thinking if it was three years ago they will be drop that moment and she loves disengaging the head from the body when she gets really angry.
She finished her bathroom business then wore a light blue cargo pants on an ash tank top wearing a big black hoodie on it and her favourite white canvas, she walked towards Sophie room door that was opened ajar. "Hey... good morning I'm done just need some finishing touches" Sophie added some lipstick then stood up to look at herself in the mirror and took some photos, Zoë couldn't help but soon her head is this the life of a Floreg college student she wondered.
"What's up with this tight cover up sure you wouldn't feel sweaty" Sophie asked taking her hand bag.
"I would be fine don't worry" Zoë assured her.
"It's your first day and Lauren will bully you anyhow she pleases" Sophie said with a hint of sudden tenderness and Zoë smiled faintly. It seemed like only her faint smile were sincere and the rest was just a face show.
