Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Perfect

Perfect.

As Daisy toured the house, she decided to stop thinking about her family problems and simply enjoy the space. She started with the downstairs. The house had a modern, sleek feel to it. The kitchen was spacious and open, with stainless steel appliances and white cabinets that gleamed in the light. From the kitchen, you could see into the parlor, which was equally impressive. The large room had glossy black tiles on the floor, reflecting the light that poured in through the big windows. The walls were painted in a soft white, giving the room a clean, airy vibe.

The furniture was oversized and comfortable, with rich brown furnishing that gave the room a cozy yet elegant and refined look. Large, plush sofas and chairs filled the space, while white leather chairs surrounded a sleek dining table off to one side. In the corner of the parlor, a wine bar added a touch of elegance, with polished wood shelves stocked with bottles and glassware.

She wandered through the downstairs area, admiring how everything was meticulously organized and tidy. The house had three guest rooms, each with its own bathroom and dressing room, though Daisy didn't feel like exploring those just yet. Moving on to the stairs, she headed upstairs, her eyes scanning the hallway.

The hallway was painted white, with rich brown wooden doors lining both sides. She passed a room on her right, opening the room door, she saw it was painted blue and white.guessing it was her parents' room, just as her mom had mentioned. Moving further down, the next room had stark white walls with black tiles that stood out, making the space look bold and clean.

"Hmmm, Ken will probably want this room," Daisy muttered to herself, imagining her brother claiming it.

She didn't bother checking any of the bathrooms or walk-in closets. "I'm sure they're all nice," she said, brushing it off.

The next four rooms were empty, all painted in plain white. But as she reached the fifth door, Daisy's eyes lit up.

"This is mine ," she said, a smile spreading across her face as she opened the door. Her new room was everything she had hoped for. The walls were painted in her favorite colors—black and white. The bold contrast gave the room a sleek, modern feel, and it was exactly what she wanted. Her old room had been painted a bright, flashy pink, something she had never liked. She'd always found it too girly and over the top.

Daisy recalled the time she'd asked Austin, her stepfather, if she could repaint her old room. She'd wanted something more subtle—something more "her." But Austin had flatly refused, insisting the pink was fine. He had dismissed her request, saying it was just for a passing moment.Daisy had been disappointed, but she had learned to live with it.

Now, standing in her new room, she felt a sense of pride. This was hers—exactly the way she wanted it. The bed was large, with a sleek black headboard and crisp white linens. The room was minimalist but stylish, with black and white accents that gave it an elegant, modern edge. The floor was covered with a soft, dark rug that added warmth and comfort to the space.

The walk-in closet was a dream. It was filled with rows of neatly organized clothes, from suits to t-shirts to sweatpants—everything Daisy could want. Men wears. It was as if the closet had been curated just for her. She was impressed. Expensive leather jackets, watches, neck chains and hand chains, neatly folded sweaters, and stylish jeans hung in perfect order.

"What the f*ck? Everything's my size," she muttered, running her fingers over the fabrics. "This place is spotless and so well-maintained."

She couldn't help but smile. The house was beautiful, and everything in it felt just right. But for now, it was the room she was focused on—the one she had always dreamed of. It felt like a fresh start.
