The door opened and the council members filter into the room with Claire hot on her heels. I waited to see Jax but he wasn't here. It was just me seated at the head of the table. It felt like I was called in for some grilling of some kind and I felt bothered. Why was I the only one summoned?
They all sat down and began whispering between themselves while I watched. I wish I had my phone and I wished Jax and I exchanged numbers so that I could text and tell him to come over.
I guess I've been used to just living without a mobile device that it made it easier for me to just leave it with Bethany everyday.
"Leonora, we summoned you here for an important discussion." The spokesperson said after their whispering died down. "The last time we tried to have this conversation, Jax shut it down but we need you to understand the gravity of the situation."
