Jax knocked on my apartment door and we waited. After a few minutes, the door opened. Devon ushered us inside and I could see that he was fighting a smile. Bethany was seated on the couch, typing away on the phone I gave her when she looked up and saw us. There was a teasing smile on her lips threatening to show but she held herself back.
"Good afternoon to the wildest couple in the world." She said as I quickly sat down beside her. "Have you had breakfast? Oh, wait. I'm very sure you both have eaten." She said and I frowned.
"Actually, we haven't. I wanted to go out and get something and I was wondering if you would like to come, Devon." Jax offered and I smiled. After the Jax's attitude yesterday, I didn't think he would try to befriend Devon anytime soon.
