"So this is your apartment?" Bethany asked me as I opened the door to the apartment. "Why did you lie to me?" She asked with a pout as she dumped her shopping bags on the floor. "I thought we were friends."
I closed the door behind me with my foot as I dropped my bags by the floor. Jax told me this morning that Bethany and I should get ready. It was a bit too cryptic for me but I still got ready. He took us- Bethany, Devon and I- shopping and we were back at my apartment.
"I knew Jax was following you and I didn't want to risk it. It's not that I wanted to lie to you." I explained to her as I walked further into the apartment. I walked over to the couch and plopped down on it.
