For Yang Shung, it didn't matter where he killed monsters.
When he arrived in Yinghuo Town, killing Song Fei a few times along the way would be a bonus—two birds with one stone.
Though he couldn't eliminate him permanently yet, killing him now would be a good start.
"Also, Gu Xue is in Yinghuo Town."
"Let's see if I can find her."
Gu Xue, known as Snow Priest in the past life, had been a key figure in the God-Slaying Guild. Her class, White Bird Priest, was a hidden support profession.
With her white bird companion, she could heal and buff allies.
Yang Xiaoyou, in comparison, though possessing the hidden Life Sacrifice profession, was inept at combat.
In the past life, Yang Xiaoyou had merely followed Yang Shung, healing and buffing him while he fought.
Gu Xue, on the other hand, had soloed an epic BOSS. She was a true powerhouse and a reliable partner.
"If I find her, I'll pull her into Wang Min's team."
With Gu Xue onboard, Yang Xiaoyou would naturally be sidelined.
Yang Shung didn't want any disruptions in his plans, and Yang Xiaoyou was a major variable.
In short, Yang Shung didn't care about her—as long as she stayed out of his way.

Firefly Town
An initial town in the Jianghai City region.
Yang Shung activated invisibility, using his free teleportation for the day, and slipped quietly into the town.
Compared to the bustling Shell Town, Firefly Town was calmer.
While players shouted and set up stalls in the square, others flashed with white light, signaling their recent resurrection. Their sour expressions spoke volumes.
Yang Shung wandered the town but saw neither Song Fei nor Gu Xue.
Then, he overheard a group of freshly resurrected players chatting.
"Move it! Don't let others get the kill! The silver BOSS is almost down!"
"Damn Song Fei! That poser brought all his girl fans. How can anyone else get a shot?"
"What's with those brainless fans? He's just a washed-up celebrity!"
"I don't care. I'm taking that guy down today!"
Yang Shung smirked.
"Oh? A clue."
"So, Song Fei is fighting the silver BOSS with his fan club?"
He could imagine that if "Shadow" hadn't appeared, Yang Xiaoyou might've been one of those brainless fans.
Song Fei—a flashy mage with no hidden class—relied on his fanbase to climb early-game ranks. Yet his potential in the mid-game was poor, and the late game was laughable.
In his past life, Yang Xiaoyou had been one of his admirers, which irked Yang Shung endlessly.
This time, Yang Shung wouldn't let Song Fei live comfortably.
He would kill him in the game first.
Later, after gaining real-world abilities, he'd ensure Song Fei disappeared permanently.

Yang Shung followed the angry players out of the town.
He remained invisible, slipping into hidden spots to refresh his stealth when needed.
The trail led him through a dark forest into a sinister valley.
"This is the Valley of Sorrow, a Level 5 monster area," Yang Shung murmured.
"Monsters here include Fire Burners and Shackled Ones."
Fire Burners were ranged attackers with fireball spells, while Shackled Ones were melee attackers with grotesque appearances, relying on biting since their limbs were shackled.
Yang Shung moved silently into the valley.
Soon, he heard shouting and cursing ahead.
Female voices, sharp and angry, filled the air.
Pushing forward, Yang Shung reached the valley's center. There, he saw a towering Two-Headed Fire Burner BOSS surrounded by chaos.
The silver-tier BOSS stood three meters tall, engulfed in blood-red flames. Its two eyeless heads grinned maniacally, flames pouring from its four arms. It could attack multiple targets at once.
Dozens of players surrounded the BOSS, attacking it—and each other.
Amid the crowd, surrounded by screaming girl fans, stood Song Fei.
Dressed in an ostentatious black robe, holding a staff, he wore a smug expression. His in-game name, Heavenly Mage God, was laughably pretentious.
Still, his fangirls worshiped him.
Players who tried to attack Song Fei were blocked by the fanatical girls.
"Brother Song Fei, watch out!" one cried, taking a hit for him.
The girls acted as a human shield, sacrificing themselves to protect him.
Meanwhile, Song Fei and his team of five other mages focused on the BOSS.
All six members of his team were mages. No tanks, no priests.
Who needed tanks when fanatical girls acted as the human wall?
Who needed priests when he claimed he wouldn't take damage?
As Song Fei unleashed spell after spell, gaining experience and loot, the girls died in droves.
Yang Shung's eyes narrowed.
"No tank. No healer. Just arrogance."
He smirked.
"This will be easy."
