They all looked grim.
"We were surrounded by silver monsters right after entering the swamp," Tienan said. "And the water columns kept spraying everywhere! No time to dodge!"
"I could react, but my speed wasn't enough," another player said. "How fast must Shadow be to dodge the water?"
"He must have maxed his agility," someone else speculated.
"Impossible," Tienan responded. "How could he take damage with all that agility and still bring down half the BOSS's health?"
"Yeah, we only took down 3% of its health in the time we were there..."
Tienan scowled. "How did he do it?"
They had suffered heavy losses. Losing non-tradable lifespan wasn't the issue; the key was becoming strong before losing it. But now, they were just giving up on this attempt.
"Let's go," Tienan muttered, leading the group out of town. Their failure had caused a stir, and many townsfolk watched them leave.
But Yang Shung was faster. By the time Tienan's group reached the swamp again, Yang Shung was already attacking the Golden Ghost Ship.

He attacked relentlessly as before.
With the BOSS at half health, it gained new abilities.
One of them was a powerful water wave that spread out when the skeleton oars paddled the ship. Yang Shung knew that if he was hit, he'd die instantly, but this was easy for him to dodge.
As the wave spread, Yang Shung jumped, evading the danger. The water waves' erratic speed demanded quick reflexes, and Yang Shung was ready for them.
The BOSS also had other single-target attacks, but Yang Shung remained invisible, so it never targeted him.
When the Golden Ghost Ship had only a quarter of its health left, Tienan and his men arrived again.
They saw the light balls of lifespan scattered across the swamp and immediately rushed in, hoping to steal the loot.
But just as they approached, a bolt of lightning shot out from the trees, striking Tienan and several of his men!

Yang Shung, fighting the BOSS from afar, noticed the commotion but didn't pay it much attention. Even if Tienan's group entered the swamp, they would likely die.

He attacked again, knocking the BOSS's health down to the last 5,000 HP.
Tienan's group rushed forward, but Yang Shung had already made the final blow.
Five consecutive sword lights slashed through the Golden Ghost Ship.
