"Bang."
Ravion teleported to the battlefield where Hulk and Thor were clashing, their duel shaking the barren landscape. Hulk's sheer strength met Thor's divine might, each struggling to gain the upper hand. The land around them had been reduced to rubble.
"Quiet."
Ravion's eyes glowed faintly. In an instant, Thor froze mid-swing, and Hulk began to revert to his human form, shrinking back into the frail figure of Dr. Bruce Banner. The scientist stumbled, his frame visibly emaciated beneath the tattered remains of his specially designed clothing.
Ravion approached Thor with a focused determination. Dr. Banner staggered to his feet, attempting to intervene.
"Wait—what are you going to do to Thor?" Banner asked, his voice shaky but resolute.
"Dr. Banner, I suggest you run," Ravion replied coldly, brushing past him.
Ravion reached out to Thor's hair, seemingly intent on taking something.
"Hey, need a hand?"
Tony Stark, clad in his Iron Man suit, descended from the sky. His shoulder compartments opened, firing a barrage of small rockets aimed at Ravion's legs and head.
Ravion reacted swiftly, releasing a wave of frost from his palm to encase the rockets in ice mid-flight. This was the power of the Iceman, whose mutant abilities Ravion had replicated.
"What are you doing to me?" Thor growled as he fought to regain control of his body.
"Sizzle." Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, suddenly surged with lightning, and he swung it with all his might, slamming it into Ravion's face.
The blow sent Ravion hurtling backward, crashing into the ground with a thunderous impact. John Lang, observing from a distance, gasped. Fortunately, Ravion's body had transformed into organic steel, mimicking Colossus' mutant ability, which allowed him to survive the hammer's devastating strike.
Not one to miss an opportunity, Iron Man fired two electromagnetic pulse bombs at Ravion, paralyzing his body momentarily.
"Gotcha! Thor, let's wrap this up," Tony called out, confident that the fight was over.
But Ravion's voice echoed, laced with sarcasm. "It's not a good habit to celebrate too early."
Ravion's systems had long evolved beyond traditional machinery, rendering the EMP effect temporary. His eyes glowed red as he unleashed twin laser beams—Cyclops' mutant ability—colliding with Tony's energy blasts. As the two beams clashed in mid-air, Hawkeye's arrow soared through the chaos, detonating against Ravion's knee and forcing him to kneel.
Captain America charged forward, leaping into the fray. His shield connected with Ravion's face, causing a metallic clang as it ricocheted back into his hand. He used the momentum to strike again, smashing into Ravion's arm and severing his grip on the bundle he carried.
Black Widow Natasha rode in on a motorcycle, skillfully catching the bundle Captain America tossed to her. She veered away from the fight, cradling the swaddled John Lang.
"Wait, you've got it all wrong!" John Lang exclaimed.
"Stay calm, kid. You're safe now," Natasha assured him, speeding off.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Ravion began to rise. Iron Man and Captain America worked together, pinning him down before he could recover.
"Sizzle."
Thunder boomed as Thor raised Mjolnir, summoning the full power of the heavens. Lightning cascaded down, engulfing Ravion in a blinding storm of energy. The thunderous impact left Ravion's body motionless, his chest dented and his circuits seemingly fried.
The Avengers relaxed slightly, convinced they had subdued him.
Farther away, Natasha stopped her motorcycle, sensing something unusual. She glanced at the bundle. "Did you just… talk?"
"Yes," John Lang replied nonchalantly. "Also, I'm starving. Do you have any food?"
"What the—?" Natasha muttered, her confusion mounting. "Kid, what are you? And why would that... thing bring you here?"
Before Natasha could process her questions, a loud "Bang" echoed. Ravion, once presumed defeated, teleported into their path. His metallic body reformed, and his glowing eyes pierced the dim light.
"Thanks for babysitting," Ravion said, his tone laced with mock gratitude. "Now, I'll take him back."
Natasha raised her pistol and aimed it at Ravion, her grip firm despite her rising tension.
"Really? A pistol?" Ravion chuckled. "Do you want me to surrender out of pity?"
Back at the battlefield, Thor stirred, groaning as he dusted himself off. "By Odin's beard, that walking scrap heap pulled my hair! My hair!"
Though battered and bruised, Thor's indignation over the hair-pulling somehow stung more than the physical blows.
Hulk roared in frustration, slamming his fists into the ground, but even his brute strength couldn't resolve the situation.
Captain America turned to Iron Man. "Tony, any brilliant plans?"
Tony's voice came through, half-joking, half-serious. "You mean besides not dying? Working on it."
Ravion reappeared beside Natasha with another teleportation flash, snatching John Lang from her arms.
"I told you—leave him to me."
Natasha hesitated, unsure of her next move. Even the Avengers, at full strength, had struggled to subdue Ravion. What could she possibly do?
"I suggest you run, Ms. Romanoff," Ravion said, his voice devoid of malice, though the implication was clear.
Natasha frowned, stepping back cautiously. "This isn't over."
"I know," Ravion replied, disappearing with John Lang once again, leaving nothing but a faint hum in the air.
As the Avengers regrouped, staring into the empty horizon, Thor summed up what everyone was thinking.
"That thing isn't just a machine. It's a menace."
Captain America nodded grimly. "And it's not going away anytime soon."
