Chapter 9 - Chapter 9. Money Voiced Out Loudly

Thereafter, Segun met his beloved mother. She got her informed about his strong love for the pretty Yetunde. The mother was happy the more when the news of her pregnancy was told. She jumped up in joy and danced round like a masquerade in festive mood for the glad tidings.

After few weeks, Yetunde came home with one of her bosom friends at the university campus for the rites. She met Segun's grandparents officially. The day was so special and highly remarkable indeed. The meeting was celebrated in a grand style.

When money is available in excess, every scene is usually turned extra-ordinary in the house of a comfortable billionaire!

It was a dream fulfilled. No good parent would object to his darling son getting hooked to a well cultured and promising girl in marriage. They accepted Yetunde to be the wife for their favourite first-child.

Meanwhile, the father of Segun, a fair skinned six-footer politician was greatly surprised of what was going on but kept mute as a matured man. He sensed it, but failed to express any feelings openly.

Later, a super grand introduction was done with the family and relatives of Yetunde in attendance at Ikole-Ekiti, the home town of the late father of Yetunde. Money was forced to talk that day without measures.

The coverage of the traditional marriage introduction was broadcast live by three FM Radio stations including Channels TV and CNN. It was a glimpse into the richness of Segun's family that was showcased for the Ekiti people and the entire world.

At the meaningful but solemn ceremony, the young girls danced for real joy, and men folk-old and young-took their part in all the fun and merry making. They were well comforted with feast in abundance. The pummel, goodies, buffet and bounty were satisfactorily in excess. At the occasion, Yetunde was shower with fancy arrows of money in hard currency! She danced for joy as a lucky young bride.

What some people in the town thought to be the real wedding was just tagged: ''Marriage Introduction''.

The result was that the city erupted in great joy and happiness!

The laughter and rejoicing never ends immediately. The joy was reigning in the air at Ekiti town and it's environ. It prevailed so much and went viral as well.

There was laughter in the city; the happy songs and traditional chorus; the marriage feasts, the songs of bridegroom and bride, was never stopped for weeks. It was a magnificent and glorious day at Ekiti town.

During the solemn but heavily loaded ceremony, it was agreed upon by the two families of the couples that a date will be fixed for the real traditional wedding of Segun and their daughter Yetunde when the bride and expectant mother delivered.

Thereafter, Segun's father, a good man and generous billionaire proved to be caring and highly supportive in several ways to the couples.

He had money and doles it out to Yetunde, the wife of his first born. It was glaring, real and authentic that the couple are trenched into a new phrase of glorious life.

A separate building was purchased, renovated and lavishly furnished for Segun and Yetunde in another location within the city. The edifice was sighted in beautiful natural surroundings.

When money decided to talk in the society, nothing stops the visible demonstration at display. The mansion built for Yetunde and Segun to be living happily as couples was named: ''The Innocent Villa.''

It was the ace-politician and billionaire of note who gave the white house the special name during the house warming ceremony. Nobody could explain the reason for such a unique name given by the psychologist and eminent scholar.

The one-in-town castle was painted all white in and out! It was a donation to the new couples to make life more comfortable and pleasurable.

Undoubtedly, it was one of the best edifices within the axis. It is located not too far from the Senator Adewolu Ladoja circular road; off Ibadan-Lagos Express Way not far from the Ojoo Bus Terminal end.

The duplex was like a mini-palace; portable in shape and structure. So nice to behold; well fenced with maximum security in a siren environment. Almost eighty percent [80%] of the expensive materials used in the construction of the building were imported.

One of the foremost construction firms in the state was awarded the contract for the putting on of The Innocent Villa project which was speedily completed to taste within few months. The furniture's inside the duplex; plus the finishing were lavishly fixed to taste.

Although the building may be tagged ''The Innocent Villa'' but the expenditure was noisy!

What a majestic wonder house that adorned Ibadan city skyline!

The architectural marvel, also called The Innocent Villa, captivated with its beauty and opulence. Its creation and construction involved precise planning and the skilled hands of craftsmen that were able to bring into reality the ingenuity of Segun's father.

The mastery of metalworking knew no bounds because of the God-given wisdom made manifest by the engaged craftsmen; ensuring the enduring transmission of huge raw cash flow from the billionaire that was sunk and buried in the project became visible thereafter.

Segun's father never does anything without celebration as sign of gratification to God! Doing otherwise, to him is like covering the goodness of God!

The house warning of The Innocent Villa was in grand style as usual. It was witnessed by families and friends of the celebrant. The couples who got the donation of the house were highly appreciative to the donor. They prayed and wished him a long life and prosperity! Indeed, nothing is too small to celebrate and show the glory of God for!

The bold mark of joining a wealthy family reflected in Yetunde's life. The same was gladly extended to all those that took care of her as an orphan.

When a man received wealth from the lord and good health to enjoy it, what a good blessing to envy and be grateful to the creator.

The junior sister of Yetunde's mother, a tenant in the house of the billionaire now turned mother-in-law was well treated according to Yoruba tradition.

Your in-laws are mini-gods to be highly cherished. Anyone that released her daughter to another family has done a great thing and nothing can be too big enough to show the appreciation.

As a result, Yetunde's aunty that was responsible for her schoolings since the demise of the mother was well compensated. She also meticulously enjoyed and experienced the bounty of generosity from Segun's father.

Nothing stopped the nice Ibadan man from blessing and spraying wealth on an Ekiti woman. For long, ''Ibadan people were regarded as the husbands of the Ekiti indigenes''

A new house, lavishly furnished was barely built for her in less than three months. She was dashed with a brand new Toyota Camry saloon car for ride and a big truck for her business.

In addition, a large sum of #50million Naira [fifty million naira] working capital was released to support her food-stuff trading and supply business at Bodija Market. The bitter days were over. It is good to do well!
