Ten hours later, it was morning time in Country Cornia…
Lucas wheeled Nate down from the helicopter and soon they got into an elevator, leading to the last floor of the building.
"Where are we?" Nate asked. He had been so disoriented throughout the helicopter ride that he didn't ask where they were going. He just trusted Lucas completely.
"We are the Evergreen mansion, owned by your parents," Lucas answered and immediately, the elevator stopped and opened up.
Nate was greeted with silent screams of wealth and opulence. The mansion screamed of old money and anyone who walked into there would never want to live anywhere else.
That was the same way Nate felt. For someone who lived in extreme poverty, this was too much for him. At the same time, he heard loud footsteps coming from all over.
"Young master is here!" He heard loud voices and in the blink of an eye, twenty servants had lined up before him.
"Welcome, young master!" Their voices echoed throughout the mansion and Nate felt like he was walking on clouds. He felt like he was going to wake up and everything would be gone.
But it was all real! This was what his parents worked for!
"You need to greet them." Lucas nudged him from behind.
"Hi…" Nate waved his hands nervously, not knowing what to do. However, the servants bowed, accepting his greetings. Some were old and some were young and they all looked happy to see him.
A few minutes later, Lucas wheeled him back into the elevator and they ended up on the second floor of the building. It was a private area and there were several pictures of Nate's parents on the wall. Not only that, there were pictures of him as a child as well.
He sat in his wheelchair, staring at a family picture he had no idea when it was taken. He felt a sense of nostalgia and longing for his parents. They didn't have to die so suddenly.
"If you keep looking at their pictures, you won't get any work done." Lucas' voice jerked Nate out of his thoughts.
"What work?" Nate asked with raised brows.
"The company business. I am no longer in charge from now on and also we need to start training your body so you can regulate your powers! They are no longer suppressed." Lucas informed Nate who looked at his hands. Hours ago, he had seen electric currents all over his body and he wasn't even able to control them.
"What am I to do?" Nate asked, feeling like this was the first step to his revenge.
"First of all, we have to address the company's shareholders. They are raging."
"But I just got here," Nate said, his eyes going dim. It wasn't that he wasn't ready to work. The thought of addressing a group of aged men and women made his body shudder.
He used to work in Mr. Jones' company and he knew those kinds of people were no joke.
"Well, news flash! No one is going to wait until you are ready." Lucas remarked snarkily. "A servant will come to prepare you, we leave in one hour."

An hour later, Nate was dressed in a business suit, he was wheeled out of the mansion. Two men were standing by a car and they opened the door as soon as Nate appeared.
"We need to get your legs checked. I won't keep wheeling you." Lucas sounded like he detested the job, but he wouldn't let someone else wheel Nate.
"We can always get an electric chair."
"No way." Lucas refused. Nate could only roll his eyes discreetly and soon they drove out of the mansion and were at the company. They took the private elevator, straight to a large office.
The office had floor-to-ceiling windows on one side of the wall that overlooked the city. It was a fresh sight.
"This is the CEO's office. This is your office from now on." Lucas informed Nate and then took a stack of documents from the large table in the center of the office. Before the table was another large table, with up to ten seats set around it.
It seemed that was where the meeting with the shareholders would be held.
"Go through these documents, they contain details of what you need to know before the meeting," Lucas instructed and soon, he informed Nate that he was going out for a quick run-over of some operations in the company.
Nate took a deep breath as soon as he was left alone in the office. He was deeply immersed in the documents when suddenly the door was pushed open and three ladies strutted in with suspicious gazes on their faces.
"Excuse me, cripple, who let you in here?"
