"Hey, have you heard that the three guilds are teaming up against that dungeon?"
"Why?"
"I heard it's because of how miserably Alcohol in My Veins failed, so they're now uniting against the dungeon."
"Is the dungeon really that hard?"
"Yeah! Well, I haven't gone to the dungeon but I heard that the main theme of the dungeon is poison. So many people die in the dungeon because of the poison."
Countless discussions occurred as players discussed the three guilds uniting. This was the first time that this had happened. The three guilds were always fighting against each other, so seeing them unite was quite a rare scene.
Many were also theory-crafting the reason why the three guilds were working together.
They knew that one of the major guilds had been wiped inside the dungeon. But they didn't know the reason why they were wiped. The players in Alcohol in My Veins refused to talk about the dungeon.
Especially, Boundless Plates.
Anybody who approached him about the dungeon would be met with him angrily shouting at them and threatening to beat them up.
It seems that his mood has gotten worse ever since the raid.
Luckily for him, his revenge would come soon.
The three guilds were about to have a meeting about strategies and plans. As the vice guild master, of course, he would be invited. Not only that, he was a skilled player. The only reason that they were wiped was because of their lack of information.
Now that they had more knowledge about the dungeon, the second attempt would be easier than the first, especially when there were way more people for the second raid.
...
A large circular conference table with countless seats was placed in a dark room.
This place did not actually exist, it was more of a virtual area. Where people could log in, this was the meeting that the three guilds would have soon. They would exchange information and talk about strategies for the upcoming raid using the information they got from 2MuchVodka.
Soon a hazy and illusory figure was forming on one of the seats.
As a name appeared on top of his head.
[Boundless Plates]
Boundless Plates was the first to join the meeting, but soon others began to arrive. Within 15 minutes, every seat was occupied. The most influential figures in the room were the guild masters and their vice guild masters, as they held the most power.
Once everyone was present, 2MuchVodka cleared his throat, signaling the start of the meeting
"Thank you all for being here. Today, we'll be discussing our strategies for the upcoming raid."
He paused briefly, scanning the room. "If anyone has questions, feel free to speak up."
When no one responded, 2MuchVodka gave a small nod and continued.
"The Dungeon of Noxious is one of the hardest dungeons. It has countless enemies with abilities that can poison you and inflict countless debuffs. Not only that, they have dark elves too, who are terrifying assassins."
Heavenly Night's clear and melodic voice, interrupted 2MuchVodka, as she asked her question. "Do you know the total number of dark elves?"
Heavenly Night was strikingly beautiful, with raven-black hair, piercing blue eyes, and pale, porcelain-like skin. It is speculated that she was the daughter of a rich CEO who heavily spoiled her since her online influence was seen through countless games.
2MuchVodka glanced at her briefly before responding. "We don't know, but we estimate that there were about 80 dark elves. Most of them appear to be rogues or a similar class, with a few wizards mixed in."
"We've compiled a list of abilities used by the dark elf rogues. One of their most troublesome skills allows them to transform their bodies into swarms of rat-like dark creatures, enabling them to escape dangerous situations. Fortunately, this ability seems to have a long cooldown.
Like typical rogues, they can also teleport behind targets, but their version leaves an infected trail from their original position to the target, poisoning anyone caught in the path. However, the real danger lies in their daggers. A single strike infects the victim with parasitic maggots that inflict continuous damage. Infected players killed by these dark elves will have their corpse swells up grotesquely, as they start pursuing others as suicide bombers, releasing more of these maggots upon detonation."
2MuchVodka played videos to accompany his explanation, giving everyone a clear visual of what he was talking about.
The footage showed dark elves ruthlessly slaughtering players, followed by the horrifying sight of their corpses inflating and relentlessly pursuing others. The only way to counter this ability was to avoid dying to the dark elves' daggers in the first place or to have someone kill the infected corpses from a safe distance.
Everyone in the meeting frowned. These abilities were truly troublesome.
But the rogue dark elves were only part of the threat. There were still many more enemies to face. 2MuchVodka pressed on, shifting the focus to the dark elf wizards and the Swamp Giant.
"The wizards seem to have an ability that can inflict countless horrifying debuffs in a large area, not only that, it seems to be able to last for a long time. The only question that we don't know is if this is the only spell that they have because this was the only spell that we saw.
As for the Swamp Giant. Its figure is gigantic and deals a terrifying amount of damage. It seems to be slow but that's just an insidious trap, as its hands can unfurl into tendrils and wrap around you, making it more dangerous than you think."
These accompanying videos were also like that of the others, it's just that one of them was in a first-person point of view.
As one of the videos showed 2MuchVodka being ensnared by the Swamp Giant before being given a ruthless beating by it. Showing that the cameraman doesn't survive all the time.
But it seems that 2MuchVodka's skin was too thick or he simply didn't care as he continued with a blank face. Ignoring the teasing from the crowd.
Seeing that everyone now knew more about the dungeon. They started to plan on how they could deal with it.
"We can use Mage Shield, it's one of the abilities of a wizard, it helps block spells, the only drawback is that if you use Mage Shield, you can't move or cast other abilities. But, it's a good tradeoff against that annoying spell."
"Not only that, we can increase the amount of priests in the raid while also bringing in more antidotes."
"We can also bring in more players, but we just don't know what the max number of players that it allows. We know that it allows for 50 at least though."
"Having more guardians can also help the priests and wizards from the dark elves, that want to kill them. These guardians can also help 2MuchVodka deal with the Swamp Giant."
"Is it possible we can kill the Swamp Giant or the Dark Elves before dealing with the other?"
The discussion ran long before, as countless ideas were thrown around. Human ingenuity was quite amazing. It's just that one might criticize them for wasting it on a game. But, ignoring that part. Many great ideas were found and the meeting ended on a good note.
With that players started to leave the meeting once they realized that it was ending, as the date of the next raid had been settled on, four days from now.
They would conquer the Dungeon of Noxious.
