Chapter 2 - Text imagination: forest of nature

Night turned to day and the sun shone beautifully in the sky.

And within a world of magic lay many forests. But there was one special forest with special properties.

And within a vast beautiful forest where the sun shone all day and the moon pierced through.

A place with animals from all over the world could live in peace.

Inside the forest was a tree bigger than any other.

It was considered the originator of nature, the world tree.

And beside it was a humble hut with warm light coming through its windows.

Inside lived a handsome blonde man with pointy ears and green eyes.

He was a traditional elf with supernatural abilities.

Extreme nature manipulation(Undetermined). That was what humans called his ability.

He also had a title given by humans.

[Nature's demigod]

"Hahaha, so they gave me a title like that?"

Right now he was talking to a person the size of a finger.

They had small transparent green wings.

They were of the fairy race.

"Yeah, you're finally getting acknowledged for your hard work!"

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah."

Outside the hut many other fairies agreeing and nodding.

Twice a week the man would get news about the outside world from either fairies or spirits.

Fairies were naturally curious and spirits form contracts with humans or other races.

They were the perfect informant.

"Emergency! Emergency! A group of humans are approaching the forest!"

A fairy screamed in panic as it flew into the hut.

"Oh, that is an emergency. I guess I have to go check it out."

His green eyes lit up and he left the hut.

The grass all pointed south.

The man nodded to himself and walked towards a spirit.

"Hello there. Can you please help me?"

It was in the shape of a small bird.

"Chirp!"

It chirped happily and the man nodded and started running.

*Swoosshh!*

Wind surrounded the man and his speed increased incredibly quickly.

In a mere three minutes he arrived at the edge of the forest.

"Ah, there they are."

They were a group of three people.

"Oh."

One was injured and the other two supported him.

"Damn, cough! I shouldn't ha-"

"Just shut up! We can get out of this!"

The one two the left was silent with a grim expression.

The man with green eyes sighed lightly and appeared in front of them.

"Do you need any help?"

The group of three all looked up and flinched.

"W-who are you?"

The one to the right asked being wary.

"My name is Aquila. You seem injured, friend."

Then the man to the left sighed heavily.

"Protector of the forest, can you help us?"

He bowed lightly showing his respect.

The injured person flinched and the one to the right looked at Aquila surprised.

"Yes, just bring your friend here."

*Rustle!*

The ground changed and flowers grew to make an oval shape in the size of a human.

Aquila smiled warmly

"Please place him here. It will improve the healing properties."

The two nodded to each other and placed the injured member on the ground.

"Alright, time to start."

Aquila's eyes glowed green and a green light formed in his hand.

"Woah."

One of the members exclaimed.

The light expanded and its brightness also increased with it.

"Healing wind."

Then he gently placed the light on the injured member and in an instant it was absorbed.

"Now, it should take a few minutes until it takes effect."

The other members immediately bowed in gratitude.

"Thank you for your help! Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet."

She was the female member in the group and she had a dagger equipped on her waist.

"My name is Alice."

The other member beside her flinched and introduced himself.

"Haha, my name is Kaya."

He awkwardly introduced himself.

Aquila nodded and smiled faintly.

"Alright, while we wait, would you two like some tea?"

The two group members looked at each other and then at Aquila.

"Alright, thank you."

Aquila casually started talking to himself.

"Alright, please bring the tea leaves from my hut here. Oh, hey you. Could you help me make fire?"

The two members looked at him confused.

Aquila noticed their gaze and apologized.

"Oh, sorry about that. I'm speaking to my friends."

Alice flinched and shook her head.

"Don't worry about it at all!"

For some reason she raised her voice.

"Hahaha, thank you."

Aquila thanked her and after a short while the third member awoke.

"Ah, is this the afterlife?"

He got up and saw Aquila.

"I guess you're god. Hah, and my friends are here too."

Alice and Kaya sighed and briefly looked at each other.

In that short moment they coordinated an attack.

*Bap!*

*Bap!*

Alice hit his head and Kaya hit his stomach.

Of course they didn't hit him hard. He was injured just a moment ago after all.

"Ah, huh? I feel pain? I'm alive?"

Aquila just silently looked at this scene slightly dumbfounded.

"Yes you're alive you dumbass!"

Alice said while hitting him again.

"Ow, so who are you?"

The man looked at Aquila.

"My name is Aquila. What's yours?"

"It's Damien. Wow this forest is beautiful."

Aquila nodded and his ears perked up.

"Ah, it's time for tea. Damien, Alice and Kaya. What type of tea would you like?"

Then a floating box appeared in front of Aquila.

The group silently marveled at the design of the box.

"Wow, it's so detailed."

It had the design of the world tree and many small creatures surrounding it.

If one had good vision they could even see what type of creature they were.

From common animals to powerful spirits of nature.

"Uh, I don't particularly have a tea of choice."

Alice said shily.

"Me neither."

"I would like something sweet."

Aquila nodded and the beautiful box opened and tea leaves floated around him.

Then four pots appeared with hot water.

"Thanks for heating it up."

Aquila talked to himself again and the tea leaves floated into the tea pots.

Then he gave each of the group members a cup.

"Huh? Where did that come from?"

Alice looked at the cup confused but accepted the tea given to her.

"Ah thanks."

Gracefully Aquila poured tea for each party member and then himself.

*Sip.*

Then Alice drunk the tea.

"Ah, this taste is amazing. Maybe I should become a tea drinker. Wait."

""It's infused with mana?!""

Alice and Kaya said at the same time with shocked expressions.

"Ahh, this is sweet."

It seemed like Damien hadn't realized that the tea contained mana and just enjoyed its flavour.

Aquila smiled faintly and started drinking.

*Hoot. Hoot*

An owl nearby flew away.

Now it was night.

"Ah, I hadn't realized that so much time has passed."

Alice looked at the moon and the stars.

"There's not even a cloud in sight."

Kaya joined in and sat down.

"Oh, now that I look closely. Are you an elf?"

Alice asked Aquila.

"Yes, I was born and raised within this forest."

Alice looked at Aquila silently.

"You must've been lonely."

Aquila shook his head lightly.

"No, I talked to spirits fairies and the animals of this place."

"We'll leave tomorrow."

Alice said.

"Yeah, is there something wrong with that?"

Aquila looked at Alive confused.

Alice sighed lightly and went towards her sleeping bag.

"Hey, how long have you lived?"

Kaya asked Aquila.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. I'm probably one of the oldest elves left."

Kaya nodded and went to sleep.

*Sigh.*

And in the silence of the night Aquila sighed lightly.

*******

It had been two days since the groups visit.

Aquila was enjoying some tea with spirits.

"Ah, they've finally come."

*Sigh.*

Aquila sighed.

"It's a shame, truly."

His eyes shone brightly and he looked towards the people about to enter the forest.

"Yet another group of troublemakers. It's a shame. We could've remained friends."

Aquila sighed and ran towards the people.

"Let's quickly kill him and get his treasure!"

There were many people there with weapons looking excited.

"How pitiful."

Aquila pitied them.

"Oh? There he is!"

And among the people were those that visited him two days ago.

"He's just one guy let's finish this quickly!"

One person ran towards him with a sword.

"How sad. I enjoyed our time. Yet this is what you did."

One of the men in the crowd laughed and mocked him.

"Hahaha! You really thought didn't yo-?"

*Sigh.*

Aquila sighed.

"I guess that's human nature."

Then his eyes shone green.

It was a dim light that seemed sad.

*S-!*

And so the cycle continued.

The infinite cycle Aquila lived through day by day.

And like that day turned into night.
