{End of flashback}
The room fell silent as Chloe's words hung in the air. The tension was palpable, and the shock on everyone's faces was evident. Max's eyes widened in surprise, and Moana's mouth dropped open in horror.
"That bastard," Kyle cursed, his fists clenched in anger. He was the only one who didn't seem shocked by Chloe's revelation.
"So what happened next?" Max asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Chloe hesitated, her eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape. "Well... I... Killed him," she replied.
The room erupted into a collective gasp, with everyone except Kyle looking like they had been punched in the gut. Moana's eyes were wide with shock, and Max's face had turned pale.
Kyle, on the other hand, looked like he was expecting Chloe to say something like that. His expression was calm, almost calculating, as he watched Chloe's reaction.
"you killed him" Jack yelled, his voice echoing through the room.
Moana shot back, her voice firm. "There's no difference between the both of you."
Chloe's eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of defensiveness.
Moana's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an escape route. Jack's eyes were fixed on her, his expression a mixture of anger and curiosity.
"Why did you have to bring this up?" Jack whispered, his voice barely audible.
Kyle's voice cut through the tension. "Just spill it," he said, his eyes fixed on Moana.
Anna muttered under her breath, "This is going to be interesting."
Moana took a deep breath before speaking. "Well... your dad also killed someone during our college days."
The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on Moana. Chloe's eyes widened in shock. "Wow!" she exclaimed.
Jack scoffed, a smirk on his face. "That was because he was pestering your mom even after I told him she's mine," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
The room erupted into a fit of giggles, with everyone except Moana laughing. Kyle's eyes sparkled with amusement. "There's indeed no difference," he smirked, earning a glare from Jack.
Moana's face was red with embarrassment. "Alright, that's enough. Let's go," she said to Jack.
Jack grinned. "Date," he replied, and he and Moana left the room together.
The others watched them leave, still chuckling about the earlier conversation. Meanwhile, in Lily and Karina's apartment, a loud knock disturbed Karina's peace. She had been lounging on the couch, watching her favorite TV show, when the sudden noise made her jump. She got up from the couch, wondering who it could be. She made her way to the door, her heart beating slightly faster with anticipation.
As Karina opened the door, her gaze darkened, and her eyes narrowed into slits. She swallowed a lump in her throat, her mind racing with a mix of emotions - shock, anger, and a hint of fear. The person standing in front of her was someone she had hoped to never see again, someone who had caused her immense pain and suffering in the past.
"Susan," Karina said, her voice low and menacing.
Susan smirked, her eyes gleaming with a mischievous spark. "Can't I come in?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Karina's response was immediate and firm. "No," she said, trying to close the door, but Susan was too quick. She pushed the door open and forced her way into the apartment.
Karina's eyes flashed with anger as she stepped back, her fists clenched at her sides. "It's been a long time, Karina, or should I say, sister," Susan said, her voice dripping with malice.
Karina's face twisted in disgust. "What do you want?" she asked, her tone venomous.
Susan's eyes blazed with anger as she spat out the words, "He wants you home." Karina's response was immediate, a scoff that echoed through the room.
"He does, but I'm sure you don't," Karina said, her voice laced with venom.
Susan's face twisted in rage, her eyes flashing with fury. "Very smart," she almost yelled. "Why is he still thinking about you even after you've left?"
Karina's smirk was like fuel to the fire, and Susan's anger boiled over. Karina walked towards her, her eyes locked on Susan's, and whispered, "That's because I'm always better than you, and you can't deny it."
The air was electric with tension as the two women stood facing each other, their eyes blazing with anger. Susan's face was red with rage, her eyes bulging with fury. Karina's eyes, on the other hand, were cold and calculating, her gaze piercing through Susan's defenses.
Susan's anger finally boiled over, and she tried to slap Karina, but Karina was too quick. She caught Susan's hand in mid-air, her grip like a vice.
Their eyes locked, the anger and hatred between them palpable. The air was thick with tension, the silence between them deafening.
"It's best you leave," Karina said finally, her voice cold and detached. "I don't want any trouble."
With that, she let go of Susan's hand, her eyes never leaving Susan's face. The message was clear: leave now, or face the consequences.
Susan's eyes locked onto Karina's, a sly smile spreading across her face. "What of your friend?" she asked, her voice dripping with malice.
Karina's brow furrowed, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice cautious.
Susan's smile grew wider. "I mean, what will happen if she finds out you're the daughter of a ruthless Mafia?" she said, her words dripping with venom.
Karina's face darkened, her eyes flashing with anger. She clenched her fists, her knuckles white with tension.
Karina's eyes blazed with fury as she almost yelled, "Don't you dare!" But Susan just smiled, her eyes glinting with malice.
"As long as you do as I say," Susan replied, her voice dripping with condescension.
Karina's anger was palpable, but she forced herself to remain calm. "Which is?" she asked, her voice tight with restraint.
Susan's smile grew wider. "Come to the mansion. You have 72 hours to come or else I'll kidnap your precious friend and tell her everything. And your so-called friendship will be ruined," she said, her words dripping with venom.
Susan's laughter was maniacal, sending shivers down Karina's spine. And with that, she turned and left, leaving Karina feeling hopeless and trapped.
Days later, the atmosphere in the group seemed peaceful, but there was an undercurrent of tension that was hard to ignore. It was as if everyone was waiting for the other shoe to drop, for something to go terribly wrong.
Karina was quiet and withdrawn, lost in her own thoughts. She was worried about Susan's threat and didn't know what to do. She felt trapped and alone, unsure of who to turn to.
Jack and Moana were discussing their plans for the upcoming weekend, but their conversation was stilted, as if they were both waiting for something to happen.
Kyle was the only one who seemed oblivious to the tension, but even he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He kept looking over his shoulder, as if he expected someone to be lurking in the shadows.
The air was thick with anticipation, and everyone knew that it was only a matter of time before the peace was shattered. But no one knew what was coming, or when it would happen. All they could do was wait, and wonder what the future held.
As Kyle and Max entered the company, they were greeted with a chorus of bows from the employees. The atmosphere was formal, with everyone dressed in their finest attire. The employees' eyes were fixed on Kyle, their faces filled with a mix of respect and admiration.
Kyle and Max walked through the lobby, their footsteps echoing off the marble floor. They made their way to Kyle's office, a spacious room with a stunning view of the city.
As they entered the office, Kyle walked over to his desk and sat down, motioning for Max to take a seat. Max sat down in one of the plush leather chairs, looking around the office with interest.
"It's been quite some time we came here," Max said, his eyes scanning the room.
Kyle pressed a few buttons on his phone, his eyes fixed on the screen. "Yeah, it has," he replied distractedly.
Max leaned forward, his eyes locked on Kyle's. "So what are we going to do?" he asked, his voice low and serious.
Kyle looked up from his phone, his eyes narrowing slightly. "About?" he asked, his tone neutral.
Max's expression turned grave. "There are other mafias in the country, and they're trying to kill you," he said, his voice laced with concern.
Kyle's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to gleam with interest. "It seems like Mark is behind all these," Max added.
Kyle's eyes flashed with amusement. "There's something you don't know," he said, a sly smile spreading across his face.
Max's eyes narrowed, his curiosity piqued. "What is it?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
Kyle leaned back in his chair, a look of satisfaction on his face. "You may think the Mafia commands are against me, but they're actually for me," he said, his voice dripping with confidence.
Max's eyes widened in surprise, his face pale. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Kyle's smile grew wider. "He's trying to manipulate them, but he doesn't know that they work for me," he said, his voice laced with amusement.
Max's eyes sparkled with surprise, a look of admiration on his face. "Not bad," he said, a low whistle escaping his lips.
Kyle chuckled, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Oh, right, there's something I need to tell you," Max said, his expression turning serious.
Kyle's eyes locked onto Max's, his curiosity piqued. "What is that?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
