"We'll stop by the alchemists' and buy him a hangover potion and make sure he can come with us. How about it?" She suggested.
"Ugh.. And let me guess- you are asking me to pay?"
"So what? You pampered brat the least you could do is help your teammates!"
" Fine fine...tch" he remarked, not trying to hide any displeasure he had with her idea.
"I'm not going, though."
"Yeah I don't need to deal with brats like you,so you can go see how your dear Krasimir is doing."
'Great. Amazing even.'he though to himself(sarcastic)
"Now." she continued,"Is there anything else we need for the quest? I would rather have my limbs attached than being unprepared."
"Not necessarily. We just have to deal with a noise complaint."
No monsters dwell the forest, so there is no reason to be so cautious. Even if there is, they could always ask for a Knight as stated in the note.
"Haven't you heard about the arsonists case from a month ago? I heard they even tried to kidnap the kids in the nearby village."
It is correct to assume the worst, but those criminals were arrested hours after they burnt down a whole village. Word may travel fast, but adventurers travel faster.
"It's probably been taken care of." He shrugged off her argument.
"So nothing?I could ask for some holy water from the church nearby. I dont mind running errands so far as it means I'll be able to witness tomorrow. "
"Go do it then. Your high-pitched voice was making me feel like punching you anyways."
"..."
'Wait...Is she seriously rolling her eyes?'
"..Alright then, brat. You go wake Miro up and give me some coins. That is an order from your superior!"
The man could only sigh..

Knock knock
...
Knock knock knock
KNOCK KNOCK
'Ugh.. is he paralysed or what..? Perhaps I should break the door open...'
CREAAAAK
As the wooden door slowly opened, before my eyes was a very dark room, contrary to the outdoors. His gaze, now, focused on a young man with short wavy fair hair and blood-red eyes glimmering in the gloomy space and....
Bleh.
It reeks.
"Hi... Joan." he muttered slowly and showing clear signs of exhaustion.
"Good afternoon to you too, Miro." He greeted him.
Much work needed to be done. As it was already noon, getting ready was first priority.
"Haha..." Miro laughed and invited Joan inside.
The small wooden room provided by Rada felt tiny, yet cozy at the same time. One thing that couldn't be ignored was the smell. From the moment Joan arrived, the odor in this cabin was the first thing he noticed.
The windows were open so he settled in that area.He sat on a chair, while Krasimir stood near, next the only bed in this room.
" Um.. Where is Rada?" He inquired while looking around.
"She'll be back soon. Just running some errands because of what happened. "
He flinched."Oh.. about that! I'm really sorry for causing you all that trouble. You had to deal with the annoying superiors and.. And I'm really sorry for making you go and—"
"Yeah , yeah whatever. Hearing you apologise even whilst drunk was already too much. "
"I've learnt my lesson...haha"
"Just so you know, we're packed on commissions."
" Yes, but isn't that normal at this point?"
CREAAAAK—
Why is that wooden door so loud? Anyways, the other member of our group has finally joined us. Her satchel packed and holding a couple of vials herself,it was very obvious she had spent too much on potions.
" Oh, you're here." Joan remarked." But don't you know what knocking is?"
"And do you know who paid for these rooms?" She retorted before turning her attention to someone else.
"Oh, hello Miro! How are you doing?" she switched from mad to smiling in the matter of seconds.
"I'm doing well...just need to take a bath."
"Alright, have you eaten yet? You look whiter than a vampire's skin", she came near him and touched his forehead.
"Oh I will." he noted as he pulled away. " I... just you know, need to have a bath."
Joan simply nodded." Indeed. The odor that you have been emitting has been plaguing my nose since I entered. It's definitely a smell that's—"
Smack!!
"Oww!! How dare you?"
" Its for being disrespectful." Rada snapped and sat next to Miro.
"I was just pointing out the obvious. Whats so wrong with that? Are you that bothered by an opinion?"
The two sighed simultaneously.
"Anyways," Rada changed the topic." I hope you put these potions to good use; one way or another."
Krasimir inquired," Why didn't you follow our budget plan? You know how scarce our coins are and how little we are payed..."
"I saw an old friend and he mentioned that friends and family are given a discount and.... I went a little overboard."
"I see.." Miro mumbled.
"Well,"Joan smiled as I stood up from my seat." I'm hoping you don't waste any more of our coins on something like that. Even so, if that is "a little overboard" then I'm a king. "
"I'm just preparing for the whole week!" Rada tried to justify her actions.
"Ugh, are you telling me to drink potions like water? This isn't like 4 centuries ago and those things are bound to spoil eventually anyway. "
"That's why I said to put them to good use." she rolled her eyes.
"Couldn't we have just followed the plan I had made for us?" Miro tried to intervened.
"How about you shup up?" and "Shut it!" were heard in unison.
